I've owned many 'bikes of various capacities over the years, my preference being Kawasaki, and I was looking again to make a change, this time to a smaller capacity lightweight for health reasons.
.I could quite easily have gone to a much more local Kawasaki dealer, but their attitude to customers the last few times seems to have changed.
Once they'd sold you a 'bike, they seemed to lose interest. and whilst I did look in at Keys, as mentioned by someone in another post, found them to be much the same uninterested in selling anything except new 'bikes, and seemingly devil-may-care, unattentive to customers and they had nothing to suit my needs anyway, not that they seemed to care that much.
I obviously knew about Alf's, and on paying them a visit I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised!
Beautifully tidy showroom, plenty of choice and although it may sound strange the atmosphere here just felt right.
Though they were obviously busy everyone was going about their jobs in a calm and efficient manner, light-hearted banter going on between them, and when I asked questions I felt I was being given straight and helpful answers and advice.
.so I bought my little 'bike in July 2012 from Alf's. It was their ex-demo with minimal miles on the clock. What superb service I enjoy here. Though not the most expensive machine by a long chalk nothing was too much trouble, no hard sell techniques and the whole deal was made easy.
I was even provided refreshment whilst sealing the deal.
Another thing that really impressed my wife when she drove me to Worthing to collect the 'bike was that she wasn't ignored, but spoken to and made to feel welcome. She still speaks about this, and uses it as an example when teaching her own staff about customer service.
Not long after buying I became unable to use the 'bike, and only recently have I been able to ride again.
It's only just had it's first service which was done promptly and without fuss whilst I waited, and at a time suitable to me. The service technician dealing with your 'bike is always available to speak with you to answer queries. As they're obviously usually busy I did make a mental note to book any work needed in early, but I feel sure any urgent jobs would be given priority, as they should be.
Possibly not the cheapest outfit around, (I'd go for average from past experience) this doesn't really bother to me I don't care so long as the work is carried out correctly and my 'bike is looked after properly, the service given throughout is absolutely first class, and all departments are to be commended on their warm and friendly approach.
Note to viewers my 5-star did not register and only shows four. Had their been six this company would deserve it!! read more
