Needless to say, this was very discouraging. I can see the need for your explanation, however let me clarify why I feel that the policy is unfair in my situation.  I wasn't simply running late or forgetting my appointment, I was genuinely unwell and unable to safely attend.  While I did notify your office as soon asI realized I couldn't make it. I understand that missed appointments affect your schedule, but I also believe there should be some flexibility for circumstances outside a patient's control, especially when someone is sick. Most medical and dental offices allow at least one waived fee in situations like this, and that's what I meant by "fair". I'm not asking for special treatment, just a little bit of understanding.  Being told that policy applies no matter what, even when someone is ill, felt dismissive and has added stress to what was already a difficult start of my day.  I value professionalism, but I also value compassion.  I was hoping for a more patient-centered approach.  I hope you'll consider building some flexibility into your policy in the future.  Situations like mine do happen, and a bit of understanding goes a long way. The last line you stated, "that I find a dental home that aligns with my needs", felt dismissive and unnecessary. I wasn't looking to leave your practice, but now you've lost 5 patients.

The dentist came in and drilled the holes and then left the hygienist to glue/fill them. This girl had a lot of trouble and took a very long time. The dentist was no where to be found. When trying to get the metal holders out, she kept yanking and getting tired and stopping. I actually got a headache and almost felt like asking her if she could get some help. Finally, she got them out and finished up. Both of the insides of these teeth now are bumpy from glue, not smooth like they used to be. When I called, I was told that it would wear off with brushing. I got a call later saying that they no longer accepted my insurance (I'm on Medicare, so who cares about old people?) I told them I would find another dentist and asked them to remove me from any messaging. Last week, I received a letter saying they are charging me $50. because I no-showed. WHAT???

We both were guaranteed there would be no charge for our routine cleaning, and then later received bills for almost $200 in the mail with no description of service. As a medical coder and biller I stated that is not how billing works and was hung up on.

From the moment I stepped in the door that place look dirty and unwelcoming. The area behind the front desk looked trashy and chaotic, there were boxes, papers and personal items everywhere, staff not very friendly and courteous. The floor in the exam room was very dirty; there was literally dirty on the floor and the lead shield for they used for the x-rays was either super old or very dirty. The dentist was very nice and kind but seemed tired and in the hurry. Apparently, she works in multiple offices and has many patients. She did a 2-minute examination, asked me if I wanted to save the tooth and then walked me to the front to talk with 1 of the staff members about the cost which seems very high. Apparently after the $2,500 from Medicare, I still own $ 373 for the root canal + plus the cost of the crown which is well over $1000. Furthermore, I was told that since Medicare only pay 60% for the consultation, I needed to pay $104. I don't understand why they needed to do another x-ray, why not request the transfer of the x-ray I just had 1 done 3-4 weeks ago. The root canal that that I I need is not in a molar which is a more complicated procedure, yet I was told that I need more than a visit to get it done. I had a root canal done in the past and it wasn't nearly the cost of what they're asking. In conclusion, I feel that if they're going to ask such high price for their service, the least they can do is to offer a clean, welcoming environment and a friendly and understanding staff. Never going back, 1 time was 1 too many. Rosy F.

Pristine Smiles is a fairly new practice which is 3 years and it was in my dental plan network so I wanted to give it a try based on the positive reviews. I was pleasantly surprised at Pristine Smiles that the front desk person was friendly, greeted me and had my paperwork ready when I walked in (most of the front desk person I have visited are usually rude). Dr. Bogavelli was friendly and knowledgeable. She gave me the checkup exam and cleaning which was I wanted for the visit. She was honest and patient. She didn't mind explaining things when I asked. She showed me my x-rays and explained that I needed a filling replaced since the previous dentist didn't do a good job filling a tooth so there was a spacing and gap between the filling and the tooth. She said I didn't need 4 or 5 fillings which the previous dentist said I needed. She also gave advice on how to maintain the teeth. I have never heard of Ultra Soft toothbrush and those were the toothbrushes she gave out which she says are best for the tooth enamel. They were definitely soft when I used them. Another positive thing about Pristine Smiles is the location. I didn't have to drive far and it is very close to the Simpson Ferry Library.

The filling came out the tooth was broken. I went to a local dentist who stated that yes the tooth was broken like I thought when I went to the other place to start with. You know it is hard enough dealing with daily life to start with but for me in general I have mental health and physical health issues which complicate it even more so then when I need care I need for the "professionals" to "hear" ME. Sure they acknowledge that you are speaking to them but they do not "hear" you as they have already formed their own opinion and will treat you the way they want not the way you need. I had the local guy yank it out ended up paying out of pocket for it though and that was the only reason I went somewhere else to start with as I did not want to have to pay out of pocket. This experience left a very unpleasant memory that I am still trying to process and heal from on the mental health level. I need to find a family dentist but am absolutely terrified that the one I pick wont hear me like the dentist as Carlisle Pike Family Dentistry chose not to HEAR me and meet my needs per my request. It's so sad because like i stated they got me in quickly, the place itself was clean, the atmosphere was calming but I was not heard. Had I been I most likely would still be using them.

(Like other providers, it is a requirement.) He had an Xray on the lighted screen from a place I went to over 3 years ago. He ignored my comment that it was the wrong Xray. On 3/10/26 I had my two bottom wisdom teeth removed, today is 4/17/26 and I'm still fully numb on my bottom lip & chin. So many things went wrong it would take too long to fully describe it all, so I'll hit the major points. *day of surgery 7:45am arrival for an 8 am surgery. * Dr Beaudry was 50 min late, even though I was the first appt of the day *the staff came in around 8:10am to explain he is usually 15-30 min late daily *everyone rushes into the room once he's there, clearly aggitated. This is around 8:50am, they prep me, and put me to sleep * I was approved for 45 min of anesthesia. I went under around 9am, and was fully awake in the recovery room by 9:24am (seems rushed) * I was told by a nurse the Dr didnt need to see me, everything went well, and my ride and I were good to go home * I call the office after a few days to ask if it was normal there hadn't been any improvement in the numbness. This is when I was told there was a complication with a nerve being wrapped around a tooth, and that it can take 1-3 months to come back, or it could be perminate. * I wait until 2 weeks post-op and then I requested a follow up exam (When I get there the lady leaving tells me he was running late **again** and the nurse who checked me in told me it might be a while **again**) THIS IS THE CRAZY PART * Dr Beaudry now explains about the nerve complication TWO WEEKS POST-OP *he gives me 2 prescriptions for the same steriod packs that are meant to be taken before surgery and tells me to not follow the instructions instead take "like 2-3 a day" *now when you take the pack before surgery it has very specific instructions how and when to take it, and its only a 6 day supply where you taper down to 1 the last day *as most of you know, I have MS and this specific steriod is a immune suppressant used to treat flare-ups, and I've also had bad reactions to steriods in recent years which he was fully aware of. * I re-explain this to him, express my concerns and asked for more specific dosage instructions, he still said "like 2-3 a day" * I asked the nurse at check out for dosage instructions and was told "2-3 a day" ******Still not feeling comfortable I ask the pharmacist for directions & explain the situation. He then says they won't fill it without out the correct instructions. *so again I call the office, they are 100% irritated with me at this point. They tell me they will deal with it and call me before the end of the day *when they called me back they told me they LIED TO THE PHARMACIST and told him I was to follow the instructions on the pack but they still only want me to take "like 2-3 a day" !!!!!! NO TAPER and they gave me 2 packs which is 42 pills. Never in my life have I had a dr and his entire staff tell me to not follow instructions on a medication, or lie to the pharmacist. Or basically refuse to treat a major problem, that they caused!! So 1 month and some change post-op, lip & chin are still numb and I wasnt given even close to adequate care. I still never received a call apologizing or asking if theres any improvement. Please save yourself from the anxiety and stress they will cause you!!!
