I had to swap out the battery on my wife's Toyota Camry over the weekend and had an extremely…read moredifficult time as I lacked a rachet set at home. While most cars, including my Lexus, has bolts that are easily removed with simply a wrench, Toyota decided they needed to put two different sized bolts to secure the battery in place (a 10mm for the terminal, and a 12mm for the battery frame). And to top it off, the battery frame does not have crossbars that are easily accessible. Instead, you have to finagle a socket extender in between an incredibly small, tight space that only a small child's hand would ever be able to wiggle through. Needless to say, without the proper tools, I could not do this job myself. I called AutoZone and asked if they would be able to assist me despite the fact that I purchased the battery elsewhere, and the person on the phone stated that it would not be a problem. Although this turned out to NOT be the case per their policy when I arrived, Douglas still volunteered to replace the battery for me when I discovered their tools that they lend to customers lacked a socket extender of the proper size. Although the total job took about 20mins due to the poor design employed by Toyota engineers, Douglas still generously assisted with this replacement without any complaints. I really appreciate this outstanding level of service and will definitely go out of my way to this AutoZone for all my auto parts needs!

Long standing landmark in the area. Alem has been in the game for a while and there is no confusion about how much he loves what he does. Alem is the car whisperer, very talented, reliable, timely, thorough, genuinely cares and makes sure you have a well operating and reliable car. You take your car for one issue, Alem makes sure to scan the car thoroughly in case there are other parts that need attention, and he fixes it on one go. Alem is resourceful and well connected; he can order parts for your car and have it delivered to his shop. He is clear with his explanations. Price is more than fair. You take your car to the dealership and you face the risk they will misdiagnose or diagnose based on a guess just to make sales, and add new problems that your car never had but you trust them since you consider them skilled subject matter experts and you fall for it, and pay a huge bill when in reality the price is not and shouldn't be that steep. This is not a dig, of course, not all, there are plenty of good eggs working in those dealership establishments, just saying to say with Alem is a full package deal and no need to look for second opinion when you have this well operating shop in the community.

In 2024, I purchased all four brand NEW tires from this dealership or so i thought, as they had a deal for four new tires with a one year warranty. Fast forward almost two years later, I recently took my car to a tire shop for an alignment and was told I needed new tires. The employee looked at my tires, pointed out the DOT dates and basically said, "There's no way these are newer tires." Excuse me?!! That's when I learned the tires Mercedes sold and installed on my car in 2024 had two with 2019, one with 2021 and one with 2022 DOT dates, all four different DOT dates! So the "new" tires I purchased were already approximately FIVE YEARS OLD when they were put on my car. And no, this was never disclosed to me. Because seriously, who thinks they need to crawl around checking DOT dates when they're purchasing brand-new tires directly from a MERCEDES-BENZ dealership?! I certainly didn't. Well now you do! I later spoke with Mercedes-Benz of Walnut Creek about it and was told they would never sell a customer tires with DOT dates that old. They explained that even when tires are sitting unused, they're still aging and can deteriorate over time. I was told they wouldn't sell tires more than a couple years old, let alone tires that were already FIVE YEARS OLD. Had I been told in 2024, "Hey, just so you know, these 'new' tires were manufactured in 2019," would I have purchased them? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Finding this out only because an independent tire shop happened to point it out to me almost two years later makes the whole thing feel incredibly shady. How was I supposed to know that the "new" tires I was paying a Mercedes dealership for had already been sitting around for five years?! Between this and my previous experiences with this dealership, I'm DONE. I no longer trust them with my car or my money. There are plenty of other places to purchase and service a Mercedes, and Mercedes-Benz of Walnut Creek has shown me what the level of service SHOULD look like. Add this one to the already long list of reasons I personally will never purchase another vehicle from or use this dealership's service department again.

I called in and he said, "oh yeah. It'll be in I'll give you a call once it gets here." I followed up again a few days later and they still didn't have it. If it would've taken this long I would've gone to Auto Zone. It's been months now and they've never called me. Every time I had to call to follow up with them.
