I didn't have to wait very long when Louis/Lewis called me into the exam room for my echocardiogram. He was very professional and explained the entire procedure to me before he began. It had been 10 years since I had had an echocardiogram. It took about 30 minutes or so, and it was done. I am satisfied with the service and care that the DMI staff provided. There is abundant free parking underneath the 3-story building and around the perimeter of the building, including wheelchair accessiblability close to the entrance. They are located a few blocks behind Aventura Hospital.

I scheduled two exams at this lab. After booking, I received five separate confirmation calls…read moreemphasizing how important it was to be on time. I arrived exactly on time, completed all the required paperwork, and only then was informed that they don't even perform one of the exams I had scheduled. After waiting again for the second exam, I was finally called in -- only to be told that they don't perform that one either. This isn't a simple mistake. It's a complete breakdown of basic organization and communication. When it comes to medical testing, this level of incompetence is unacceptable. Patients rearrange their schedules, take time off work, and place trust in a facility that should at the very least know what services it offers. A casual "apologize" is not a solution. Professionalism means preventing the problem in the first place -- not reacting to it after wasting someone's time. In hindsight, I should have taken the 2.5/5 rating more seriously. Now I understand exactly how it earned that score. Extremely disappointing experience.
