I had a facial with Kelsea. today. She assessed my skin, and I'm not sure what all she did, but…read moreeven my husband noticed and commented that my skin looked good. The age/sun spots are less prevalent, and my skin glows. I know she did microneedling, some kind of mask, and a serum or something that made my dry skin feel more hydrated than it has for ages. Her soothing music and gentle touch made me feel more relaxed than I have in ages, and whatever she was doing felt so good, I didn't want it to end. I mentioned I was going to try to color my eyebrows when I got home to cover the gray, and she trimmed them and colored them for me. The 7/13/2023 review by Stacy R. is spot on; I couldn't have explained my experience better. It's been a long time since I felt so pampered. Thank you, Kelsea!

Disappointed and misled. They did not listen to my request…read more As a recent transplant to the area, finding a new salon is already stressful. I specifically called ahead and asked for a stylist who specializes in short haircuts. Instead, I was paired with someone who seemed fresh out of school and specialized in highlights. I showed the stylist multiple inspiration pictures, but the final result looked nothing like them. Don't let the high-end atmosphere or great reviews fool you--they completely ignored my preferences. Not every woman wants long, highlighted hair. Some of us are professionals who prefer short, sharp styles, and we deserve to be paired with stylists who actually have that skill set. I drove home in tears. Save your money and go somewhere that actually listens to clients.

My stylist moved her salon to another city so I had to try something new and heard good things…read moreabout Studio 31 so I decided to give it a try. The stylist recommended was JB. She was not familiar with my hair and applied color that unfortunately turned my roots very brassy. I went back a week later thinking we could apply a toner and it would tone down the red. Instead of applying toner she applied a very dark color to just the roots and the end result was worse. Honestly I am not as upset about the bad result as I am the way I was treated by the stylist. After she applied the color she instructed her assistant to wash, condition and get me out of the salon, then paused to say "make sure she isn't dripping when she leaves." I was stunned when the assistant towel dried my long, thick, curly hair and was about to send me out without brushing my wet hair as directed by the stylist. The assistant was able to pick up on my dissatisfaction and asked me if I would like for her to brush my hair before leaving the salon. The stylist never came back and checked the color or even asked if I was satisfied with the results! I spent about $250 and my hair looks worse than it did before I walked in the first day! I would not recommend this stylist, I think she needs to do better in the way she is treating her clients!
