So walking into European Wax Center to have strangers rip hair out of my shoulders feels... culturally complicated. My people did not survive centuries of history just for me to wake up one day and say, "You know what would be fun? Let's pour hot wax on my body and rip out my follicles like I'm preparing for the Olympics." And yet... here I am. European Wax Center is clean, efficient, and very easy to book online. Which is great, because it means you never have to call a stranger and say the sentence: "Hello, I'd like to schedule some aggressive hair removal." You check in and within minutes someone is calmly spreading hot wax on you like they're frosting a cake. A cake that is unfortunately attached to your shoulders. Then comes the rip. Somewhere deep inside, my inner Greek barbarian wants to roar and run back into the mountains. Instead I sit there quietly thinking, "Ah yes... this is how the modern man suffers." The staff are nice and professional, though the vibe is definitely efficient rather than spa-day indulgence. This is less "luxury relaxation" and more "well-run hair removal logistics operation." I respect that. Huge bonus: I can walk there. Few things are more humbling than casually strolling down the street knowing you're about to pay someone to violently remove your fur. For the record, I am not going full dolphin. The chest hair stays. That's protected territory. Bear energy must remain somewhere. ;) This is simply about taming the wilderness so I don't look like I'm wearing an invisible sweater. Final verdict: Clean. Fast. Convenient. Alexa is a well deserved 5 star review in the eyelash extension department. I moved from CA in April of 2017, where a girlfriend of mine was providing me with the most gorgeous set of extensions every few weeks; they were so gorg I received frequent compliments. For those that know me, know that I don't wear much makeup so it's imperative to have an amazing set of lashes at all times, I simply can not live without them! When I moved to Denver, I was terrified of finding another person and didn't think I'd find someone who could provide me the lush amazingness that I was receiving in CA. Enter Alexa into my life and I am SO THANKFUL! Before I set an appointment, and after speaking with many shops, I texted back/fourth with Alexa and sent her pictures of what my lashes looked like. She confirmed right away that she was able to replicate my current lashes and we set an appointment. What can I say, it's now been 9 months and I see Alex every two (sometimes three) weeks. I'm SO happy with her work! She's punctual, her studio is clean and welcoming, she always has mellow tunes playing and she's really pleasant to chat with. Her pricing is beyond reasonable and I truly feel like my lashes look just like they did when I was in CA (bonus points that she takes half the time too)! If you're looking for beautiful eyelashes that will make your daily makeup routine easier, and give you a HUGE self confidence boost Alexa's Luxe Lashes is the BEST in Denver metro! She and her employee Theo both do a fantastic job, and will work to get you as close to the shape/length you are looking for (within reason). Both of their work is beautiful, very clean, and lasts a long time as long as you keep up with daily cleaning! You can tell how much pride they both take in their work and providing the best lash service possible to their clientele! I personally am a fan of the more dramatic look when it comes to eyelash extensions, but when previously looking at other salon options in Denver in order to get the full, fluffy look I like I would be paying a significant amount more. Alexa and Theo are both extremely talented and have a lot of experience where as if I went to another salon for the same price range I would be paying for someone a lot newer to the lash extension field. I signed up for Yelp just so that I could leave this review! Alexa is by far the best lash technician I've found. If you are looking for someone for lash extensions, definitely go see Alexa! The lashes she uses and her application make them feel lightweight but look voluminous and fluffy at the same time. I like getting lashes that are much longer than my natural lashes but not quite the over-the-top dramatic look. Alexa listened to me and knew exactly which lashes to give me. At first, I was hesitant about using the 3D lashes because I was used to singles but she was right and they were way better for the look I wanted. They were more voluminous and not only did my lashes look amazing after application, but they lasted significantly longer. I used to get fills pretty much every 2 weeks (and if I waited 3 I would notice gaps) but the lashes from Alexa last 4 weeks and I don't get gaps like I used to since they are more fluffy. I also noticed that Alexa was faster and more gentle during the application process which was an added bonus. read more

I have been getting lashes done for almost 2 years and have never been completely satisfied until I came to Alexa. After searching numerous lash places in Denver, she is the best out there. The lashes stay on forever!! Also when you lose a few they still look filled in because of the technique she uses. Her studio is so adorable and very comfortable. I love the pads she uses for under the eyes-you can't even tell you have anything on your eye or that you are getting them done...feels kind of like an awesome midday nap. Alexa is such a sweetheart, very easy to chat with, and makes you feel very comfortable. After two years, I finally have found a place that I am never leaving. I made my first lash extension appointment with Theo and left feeling amazing! Theo will take the time to listen to and perfect exactly what you ask for in the look of your lashes. Be sure to show photos of your desired look, as well as your no-no's. I asked for "fluffy" lashes that trends toward the more natural end of the spectrum, and she gave me precisely that. It's been about two weeks since then, and my lashes still look alive and well (of course, some have fallen off, as expected for anyone). They do not itch or feel uncomfortable/heavy at all. It's fun that yelp changed things and Alexa lost a bunch of her reviews. When I was first looking for a lash tech in Denver Alexa popped up over and over on every list as the most recommended. I got lashes done by her for a year and they were amazing. Alexa always took her time, always gave me what I asked for, and always got me in for an appointment even when she became incredibly busy. She is beyond professional and knowledgeable. You can tell she's been doing this for a long time. If this is your first time getting lashes she will ask lots of questions to make sure you get exactly what you want. She goes above and beyond. I've been going to Alexa for about a year and a half now. She does my Lash and Hair extensions. Every single experience I have had with her has been nothing short of amazing. I had purchased a Groupon somewhere else for my first full set of lashes and wasn't totally happy, so I did some research and decided to give Alexa a try when the time came for a fill and I was SO happy with the result. My lashes looked healthy, full and most importantly natural. Alexa did the hair for my bridesmaids and myself for my big wedding day! She was amazing and not only did she do our hair but went above and beyond and helped all the groomsmen with pinning their boutonnières and if any of the guys needed any edge touch ups they needed. She made sure we looked amazing and if there was a girl that didn't like the style she did, she redid the hair in a different look so everyone was happy. I would lose faith in lashes in Denver if it wasn't for Alexa. I just recently moved from San Francisco to Denver and I've been religiously getting my lashes done by someone in California that I really liked. I tried a couple places in Denver and it's been a nightmare. I just got out of my first lash fill with Alexa and I'm in love with my lashes and in love with Alexa! Diana has consistently done a beautiful job on my eyelash extensions- they turn out looking great…read moreand with incredible precision. I was nervous at first, because I had never tried extensions before, but Diana's kind nature quickly put me at ease. The environment is fun and colorful, but also very tranquil. She often puts on soothing music and I usually fall asleep while the extensions are being put on. . My makeup routine takes only about five minutes in the morning with the extensions, because I don't have to worry about eye makeup- meaning more time to sleep in :). The extensions last for several weeks, and in my case, sometimes have lasted for months! I have gotten lots of compliments, most people think I was just blessed with long lashes. Eyelash extensions are expensive, but Diana is very reasonably priced. Most other places take about two and a half hours, Diana takes less than half of that time and they turn out perfect. She is also very sweet, and has great energy. I won't go to anyone else because I don't see a reason to. Tip: Arrive about five minutes early to find street parking :)

She is worth every penny - trust me. I've had my brows plucked, waxed, threaded, microbladed and nobody has been able to nail the look I've dreamed of until Simone worked on my brows. I get so many compliments from my friends and family and when I tell them that they are nano hairs, nobody believes me - that's how natural they look! Important to note that I originally asked Simone for even thicker brows than I ended up with but she talked me through why that wasn't the best idea or look for my face and she was right. I appreciated her honesty and I had 100% trust in everything she told me. About Simone: From the moment you meet her, you will feel her welcoming & positive energy. She is gorgeous inside and out and she is a true girl's girl. She complimented the woman who microbladed my brows 6 years ago and told me she gave me a really great shape and starting point for her to work with. She wasn't shy to tell me where she purchased her cute pants or the artwork in her studio. These things go a long way and tell me a lot about the person Simone is. Online scheduling is so…read moreeasy and effortless, and at my actual appt I was kind of terrified it would really be painful. It wasn't AT ALL. She properly numbed it before she began and reapplied a few times as needed if I ever started to feel even a twinge of pain. It also felt remarkably quick compared to what I thought it would be. Bonus points for the comfy set up and thing she puts under your knees when you lay down. The BEST part was how meticulous she was and that she will measure and draw a little according to what you want, then check in to see if you have any tweaks. She did this with shape, color, etc, and also periodically while she was microblading to make sure we were on the right track. LOVE my results. So happy I did it!

I highly recommend her salon and will continue to use her with all my beauty services. Making an appt is best to do online and you get a confirmation right away. The salon is always clean and tidy And I have to say the beds are quite cozy

0 stars if I could…read more I got my lashes done here earlier this year, I try not to write negative reviews but people deserve to be warned. Lisa is NOT a good lash artist. She caused immense pain and suffering due to the very poor eyelash fill she gave me. I had TONS of lashes stacked on top of each other to where it was painful to blink, I had chunks of my natural lashes coming out, as you can see in my photo and they were unable to be brushed through. I cannot speak for other services but DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR LASHES LISA WILL RUIN THEM! Lisa did offer to remove them but I refused to pay for her to fix her mistakes & honestly would never step back in this place even if you paid me. yes my review is 8 months later, yes I tried to keep it to myself but people should know the truth, maybe this will save someone else's lashes.
