I went to this office for routine cleaning (it was my first visit) and had one of the worst dental experiences I've ever had.
The cleaning was incomplete and carelessly done. Most stains were removed only from the outer surfaces of the teeth, while the inner surfaces were not cleaned at all!
When I returned to address the issue, instead of handling it professionally, Dr. Tareq Salameh blamed me, insisting that I had "stains, not tartar as I said". I'm not a dentist, I used wrong terminology, but the stains were there! Even after the second cleaning my teeth still did not look properly cleaned.
But the worst part happened when I only needed a cracked filling replaced - there was no cavity involved! After the procedure, I went home and noticed that the tooth looked visibly altered. A significant portion of the tooth structure appeared missing, leaving the edge jagged and creating a noticeable gap where food now constantly gets stuck. The tooth did not look properly restored.
When I returned to ask why I had been sent home with the tooth in that condition, the dentist again became defensive and dismissive (he offered the correction, but I refused as I lost the trust of this doctor). I later sought a second professional opinion, which confirmed that the tooth had not been properly restored and should not have been left in that condition.
In addition to the poor dental work, the overall bedside manner was shockingly bad! During the procedure, when the suction device kept painfully suctioning onto my cheek, I was very uncomfortable, but I could only mumble, and instead of showing concern, Dr. Salameh annoyingly asked, "You don't like suction?"
The office also repeatedly pushed night guards. No dentist had ever recommended one to me before, or I just refused, yet I was pressured several times to accept one because it was "free through insurance!" My husband, after already receiving one night guard at this office, was later told to order a second one for the opposite arch, even though wearing both upper and lower guards can affect bite alignment! (I researched that)
The night guard they made for me was extremely uncomfortable and painful. I repeatedly explained this during the fitting and asked for adjustments, but the assistant lady ignored my concerns and simply said that it was "normal." (I tossed that painful night guard).
During treatment, news was playing, and the Dr. Salameh appeared distracted during the procedure! This contributed to an unnecessary and unprofessional environment.
On two separate occasions, I was unable to reach the office by phone during business hours. In both cases, different explanations were given for why calls were not being answered, raising concerns about the consistency and organization of the practice.
This entire experience felt careless, rushed, and deeply unprofessional. I would not recommend this office to anyone! read more
