As I was driving towards the business address on Pyramid, I quickly realized HAB was located in the 2nd tallest building within the City Limits of Sparks,NV. You know that really tall building in Sparks, NV that has Sparks Florist inside! As I parked and walked inside I was excited about entering this building I had never been in. If you know me, then you know that I'm not really into people touching me that I don't know. To be honest I only like my wifey touching my exterior....so needless to say I was nervous about this massage. I got up to the 2nd floor and in I went, entering the HAB. Amanda was ready and greeted me. She provided me with a quick questionnaire which included if I wanted light, medium, or heavy pressure for my massage. I thought that was a cool option. Personally the best massage for me is one of relaxing and rest while I zone into no mans land. Not asleep, but not awake land my special Yelp friends. Minutes after my questionnaire was completed I entered the massage room. The room was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The table linens were white. And the bed was heated. My massage began and approximately 90 minutes later I returned to reality and felt AMAZING. I highly recommend Amanda as a masseuse. Amanda seemed to be a veteran massage therapist and very skilled and confident in her trade. One thing I really appreciated was how she aimed to fine tune the massage for the client and not give a cookie cutter 90 minute rub a dub dub see you later dude back rub. Thanks Amanda for a great massage. This was no doubt the best Valentines Day gift I have ever received. Thanks boo for taking care of me like you do, and gifting me some relaxation that I needed. You are an awesome Wife...PS will you be my Valentine Missy?

BEWARE! This woman is unreliable and lacks professional courtesy!!!!…read moreBought a Groupon and scheduled an appt about a month ago. Left work early for my appt (unpaid time out), drove across town in traffic, got to her place of business only to find a sign on the door saying she left early. She did not call me in advance to say she could not be there. OK, so I was annoyed but when she called to reschedule I figured I give her another shot. So we rescheduled for several weeks out. Again, I leave work more than an hour early (again, not paid time), drive across town in lots of traffic, stressed that I might be late and keep her waiting. I get there, and guess what?! Another note on the door that she's not there as she's got a cold. Again, she did not bother to call me to cancel my appointment. Needless to say, I was extremely upset as twice I left work early (losing money) and drove across town only to find her not there. Ok, I get it when people get sick and need to cancel, but she did not bother to call me to let me know not to leave work early, not to drive across town, as she would not be there. So, I called and left her a voicemail... yep, I was upset and I let her know that as I had now lost almost 3 hours of pay and said she really should let her clients know if she is not going to be able to make the scheduled appointment. She then had the nerve to call me back in the evening and instead of apologizing for her lack of professionalism, or apologize at all, she said I shouldn't call her to reschedule because she didn't like the message I left. Seriously, this woman is whacked! First, Silke, (she's the massage therapist) as my message said, I had no intention of rescheduling and that I planned to ask for a refund from Groupon. I would have let it go at that; if not for her crazy message I would have not even done this Yelp review. But honestly, I can't say how she is as a massage therapist, maybe she's great but I'm out several hours of wages due to her lack of courtesy as she flaked on me twice. What I can say is, don't waste valuable time or take time away from work, as she might not be there and she will not be kind enough to let you know that in advance!!

Prior to Christmas I booked a "Pedi Party for Two" for my mom and I. It was described on their…read morewebsite as a: Side-by-side treatment with softening soak and scrub, followed by nail care, trimming, buffing, and gel polish. Includes a bar beverage and a chocolate lava cake. Most of that was true, but I have to admit it was the chocolate lava cake that secured the appointment, because my mom is a chocoholic... and it was the chocolate lava cake that was neither offered, nor received. The staff was lovely and the nail technicians were competent, but the overall vibe was lacking. If there was music on, it was too low to hear. The central view was of a wall hanging fountain that was dirty and had a power cord hanging over the top of it. We opted out of gel polish, for personal reasons, and were fairly astounded at the slim pickings for regular polish... not even a basic, classic red was available (and that's what we were there for, at Christmastime). Lastly, because there were appointments stacked right behind us, understandably at the time of year, we were dismissed in flip flops. I was surprised there weren't drying lights available to us to wait under until our polish dried, in another area so the pedicure chairs could be evacuated and made ready for the next customers. It felt very slipshod to be walking my 75+yo mom out of the resort, in December, in barefoot and sandals. Because she was cold, she put her shoes on before exiting and messed up her polish. I know this isn't exactly the fault of the nail salon, but had we been given drying options, it wouldn't have happened. I was asked by the spa, afterward, in an automatic text form, to review my experience. I filled out a review, but I exceeded the allotted characters and was only able to address the lack of chocolate, promised in the price of the service, and the shortage of standard color options in the regular polish selections. It's been eleven days since our appointments, I understand Christmas happened between then and now and took that into account, but I have been surprised that no one reached out to address my dissatisfaction in the pricey package. Had I been contacted by the spa to simply acknowledge my concerns, I would have kept my review private.
