I would definitely stay here again. It is also family friendly and has an indoor pool and hot tub. The hotel is a 3-minute drive to Ballater (a lovely bakery, and two wonderful restaurants we tried are located there). It is great in terms of location to the town and other things to do: Royal Lochnagar Distillery, and Balmoral. The only downside was the shower was fairly tight, but common in the UK.

What a great lodge / manor house atmosphere with beautiful large rooms that are well appointed and in exceptional condition. Service throughout the resort was top notch and the restaurant and bar areas were great as well. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was wonderful. Really the only negative is the slightly limited parking near the main building but everything else was perfect!
