A couple of days later I checked my credit card statement and a NuDo charged us $65 for a missed appointment. I called Kristine, the owner, and she said that my wife had missed one previous appointment so that is why she charged us and it didn't matter that my wife was in the hospital with pneumonia. BTW I called the salon the morning my wife was in the hospital and told them she couldn't make the appointment that afternoon since she was in the hospital. Obviously my wife won't be using a NuDo in the future.

When I came to her my hair was a complete mess. It was damaged, short, ugly. Just awful. I was so self conscious and embarrassed of how I had destroyed my hair. At my consultation Cindy took her time painstakingly matching my hair to get the PERFECT shade. She had SO many brands, colors, etc to choose from. She was beyond knowledgeable about each brand. Cindy is an EXPERT. She talked me through every brand, technique, and color until we decided on the perfect extension plan for me. BOY DID SHE GET IT SPOT ON. I'm not exaggerating when I say you cannot see a difference between my hair and the extensions. It is a FLAWLESS match. I wish I could give more emphasis to flawless. I don't know how she did it! It's safe to say she is the best at what she does. I waited less than 10 minutes upon arriving, and then they started with my pedicure. The technician helping me recommend a particular shade of red (I requested red to match the dress I planned to wear for the wedding) and did a great job! The only bad thing was that I had requested the classic pedicure (the most basic one, $32) with regular polish, and they ended up doing gel (+$15). By the time I realized, it was already too late. Nevertheless, it looked good, so I didn't mind. I had someone else do my dip manicure, and they also did a good job. They shaped my nails into almond just as I asked (+$5) and also cleaned my cuticles (+$5). I went for a simple, clean look to accentuate my natural nail. All in all, the dip manicure was $60. I found the prices to be reasonable, and I felt that the technicians did a thorough job. The only reason why I am knocking off a star is for a slight lack of communication regarding what kind of polish to use, as well as for the lack of decor/aesthetic in the salon. A few of the pedicure chairs had seen better days -- they were ripped up and showed obvious signs of extreme wear-and-tear. It was definitely not the most aesthetically pleasing place I have been to, but they did a good job, so I would still recommend it to others!

The staff strike a really nice balance of explaining all the options prices and plans but don't pressure you or rush you. I've gotten the 2 laser facials and 2 power duos; I was looking to target a more even skin tone, pore size, textured acne scarring and redness. After the first power duo treatment I could tell a significant difference. I appreciate Meredith gave me realistic expectations and didn't try to oversell results. I'm scheduled for my third round in a few weeks and I'm sincerely excited to see how my scarring is already significantly less noticeable due to a more even skin tone, little to no redness, pores are noticeably smaller and my skin barrier is healthy.

She was so sweet, attentive, hilarious, not to mention GREAT at her craft. I about fell asleep in my chair during my scalp massage, and my blowout turned out so full, soft, and bouncy! I didn't have to wash it for days! It smelled phenomenal, and I looked like a darn Pantene model as I was leaving. I did not need cut or color services this time, but I have gotten my hair cut and colored here before and it has always turned out beyond amazing. I have no doubt Marissa would have knocked it out of the park, and I'm sure she will when I come back to see her. My friend saw Danielle, and she was amazing as well.
