At New York Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry, I found that Dr. Eisen was attentive, caring, and very knowledgeable in his field. I have gained trust in him and the services he provides. His work speaks for itself, and here is why - the injections didn't hurt, the procedure was painless, and my tooth got a makeover. He took his time to explain the process and the benefits involved. So consulted with Dr. Greenstone and even though I had gone to two other dentists who refused to redo the work given some complexities in my dental strucuture (only 3 points of contact), he agreed to take me on and assured me he could correct the issue. Well, I just finished work with him yesterday. During our entire time, he was professional, caring, funny, extremely astute, and I'd like to think I gained a new friend as well. Not only is his work top knotch, his years of expertise clearly shown through along with a saintly level of patience. Given my prior experience, I was so anxious and at every turn, he reassured me as well as was patient even when in retrospect, I was a bit unreasonable. I don't think you will find anyone who not only is extremely knowlegeable of dentistry academically, but also as adept he is in being a practioner. He even made me a temporary implant at one point that was far superior in how it fit, vs. my prior dentist office and I joked that perhaps, I'll just stick with this, the quality and craftmanship were that good! I would recommend him highly for any/all dental work required. Even if you are normally anxious/nervous about dental work, he repeatedly checks with you to make sure you are comfortable. Given my experience, I will be going to him next year to get some dental surgery done and an implant on the opposite side of my mouth. An absolutely amazing and professional expert at his craft. Note: I have multiple google ids but I'm writing this as Dennis Carden, (dennis_carden@yahoo) if you want further discussion/assurance on picking the right dentist!

I saw Dr. Dorfman's advertisement in New York magazine and made a visit. His practice is like no other I've been to. Dorfman has a blue-chip background - college and dental school at the University of Penn and a tech-geek bent that makes him the first on the dental block to learn all the new tools and techniques. I first spoke to him about whether I should invest in braces or do cosmetic dentistry. He felt the healthiest option was for me to do braces - something his practice had no affiliation in at that time, but given I had no patience, I asked about what cosmetic dentistry could offer. I appreciated that he gave me an honest answer that did not increase his bottom line. Needless to say given I did not want to have a rack of metal in my mouth, I forgo braces and opted to do some cosmetic dentistry to even out my smile. Dr. Dorfman did the job in two visits back in 1993 and to this day, no one can tell that some of my teeth are laminates and bonded and the work has stood the 21-year test of time. They look and feel great after all these years. It was not inexpensive but is was money well-spent. I don't have dental insurance so I believe in working with the best dental practice I can. The Center for Special Dentistry does outstanding work and is a friendly and calm place to get dental work done.

I was fine with the 45 minute wait, however I was caught off guard by Dr. Sheinkman's poor excuse for a cleaning and hurried x-rays. I guess he cared more about getting home than about my teeth. Also, he kept trying to sell me invisalign during the entire cleaning process.
