If I could give zero stars I would. Let me start off by saying the only thing nice about these apartments was the interior of the actual apartment and the amount of rent we paid, EVERYTHING ELSE WAS HORRIBLE. We moved in February 2020 right before Covid hit and the complex went downhill so fast! Poop and pee in the hallways, staircases and elevators probably human and animal. Trash and broken glass bottles all through the hallways, the actual trash room was always so full that people would throw their trash just in the doorway and it smelled so bad. Elevators constantly broken and constantly covered in pee on the floor or trash inside and wreaking of feces. Key fob entry was constantly broken so anyone could get into the building. No security, homeless people wandering around the area and in and out of the buildings. Assigned parking issues, they had assigned multiple people the same parking spot and then had to reassign everyone eventually because it was such an issue. Fire alarm going off at least twice a week for no reason, if there is ever a real emergency everyone is fucked cause not one person evacuates when the alarms go off cause it happens so often. We never allowed our kids to play in the open area where the playground and grass was cause dogs peed and pooped all over the turf and no one ever sanitized any of the play structures, even during Covid! I have lived in other apartments and not once have we ever had as big of an ant issue than what we had at this place, no matter how clean we kept our place or how much we sprayed they were literally inside the walls and would find anywhere to come out of! Light sockets, water faucets, our bathtub faucet and even in our washing machine! Our neighbors above us from the day we moved in continuously dropped trash, glass bottles, random stuff, dirty water and so much more onto our balcony to the point where we stopped cleaning it and decided to complain. We went into the office, we emailed and we spoke to the manager and were told that they would get back to us, a few weeks later still never heard anything and then they changed managers. This issue was brought up again to the new manager during an inspection and we were told to put a complaint in the complaint box in the office and they would get to it when they could, I'm sorry????? I am sure there were other issues going on that were more pressing but for her to see what our balcony looked like in person and for me to tell her we were trying to figure this out with the old manager and had been dealing with it for so long and to then get told that was such BS! You were never able to get ahold of the front office and when you did nothing was ever done about anything. We moved about a month ago and still nothing had been done about our balcony! Honestly this place is not worth the stress and headache! I would rather pay more in rent at a clean place that takes care of there complex and tenants than a place that only cares about the money you give them monthly and could care less about the cleanliness and health of its tenants because breathing in pee and poop daily is not sanitary whatsoever! BEWARE OF THESE APARTMENTS! The rent is not worth it! read more

I been a resident for 2 years, I continue to see the property improving. My kids enjoy the pool, basketball court, big playground, and outdoor BBQ we have. Also, the services that have been coming in to support the family, have a big impact to the community at Alexander Station. read more

There really needs to be an option for NO stars, because I feel like I'm being deceitful even giving them one. Like everyone whoo moved into this apartment, we had really high hopes. We were one of the first to move in about a month after they opened. The interior of the apartment was beautiful! The kitchen blew me away. We were promised all sorts of things while signing our lease- a homework room, a game room, extra storage options, a coded front entry, etc, etc. The majority of these things are even advertised on their fb page. False advertisement. None of those things exist. The front entry (which actually faces Martin and is impossible for guests or residents to park near) has a key pad whiCh has never been functional. IF a guest is able to find a place to park to acTually go inside, you have to go down and let them in. There are 5 stories, with elevators that are often broken. The police presence became an everyday occurrence. It would be a strange day if they weren't there. Drugs, fights, thefts, people messing with the EXTREMELY loud fire alarms, graffiti, people living and defecating underneath the stairwells-just to name a few. Residents would be the ones in the elevators every morning cleaning the urine from the elevator floors, or the graffiti off the walls. Reporting anything to management became a joke. Parking is an absolute nightmare. There are no other words for that mess. If you plan on moving out, plan on a fight to get your deposit back. I already know of at least two families who had to take legal action to get their deposits back from management who like to claim that the person responsible for getting those mailed out is "on vacation". "Random" inspections at least once a month, and rent increases anytime the market changes-whether or not your contract is up. Pay very close attention to those two little words at the top of the rental agreement that you sign that say "Variable Lease". That means you're consenting to rent increases at any time. There's not a Day that I don't see garbage scattered all around the apartment complex and what's even more crazy is that I see 2 of the cleaning lady's just walking pass the Garbage like it's a normal thing the garbage Disposal is just as disgusting as the garbage spread all over the complex and it sucks because the only person I see doing all the hard work is Mr. Lupe he's always keeping busy and hardworking if this was a review for him I would give him 5 stars but as far as the 2 other cleaning lady's I hope they get replaced or fired because there not doing there job if it's like that Hire me so I can slack off as much as they do. read more

I do not recommend these apartments for anyone.... The Management Company..Aperto Management Properties I thought would be the way to go to maybe get some kind of answers, since we tried the management here and they just keep brushing us off and do not care. I was wrong again. I keep seeing on the webpages for Aperto,"People come first". I can tell you, that is false advertising cause we obviously do not come first. As you can see with all the reviews here. Everything said is all true. We were also one of the first moving into these apartments, and had high hopes. The First day we were here we had issues with the paperwork and rent agreement amount that was signed by everyone and then changed and forced to re- sign them with "the new rental amount that we did not agree to." Which is illegal. In that agreement also was the parking agreement that we would get a covered tandum parking spot which they gave us, and now after 5 yrs. just took away and gave to someone who has a 1 bedroom and 1 car and put us out in a uncovered parking spot that is not even for our building. That makes no sense. Then they try to say that the paper they left on our door is the new agreement but no one has signed it, no one has agreed to this. So again illegal. I went to the Facebook page for Aperto and wrote a long review trying to explain all the stuff to them there and someone actually replied with the general, "im sorry etc. blah blah" and to call them. So I did, and just get voicemail and never get a return call. So Disappointed in everything with these apartments. I was a little hopeful that they would be able to do something but again was let down. If there is any positive reviews for these apartments, they are probably the staff. read more

If I could give the complex a -1 review I would!!! The staff is helpful to an extent but the complex is trash. I have lived at the complex for 6 months and it's been nothing but, drug deals, gang activity, fighting, people getting jumped, trash everywhere. People have been caught peeing in the elevators, homeless people sleep and use the restroom beneath the stairs. This complex is a nightmare, and has been compared to the projects!! If this is the style of living you're ok with it's the perfect home! But not a place for kids or families! Extremely unsafe, sanitarily and physically!! Parking is a nightmare, good like finding a visitor spot, you only get one spot maybe two if you get a 3 or 4 bed, and parking on the street is illegal, but people do it anyways! Cops are always at the complex for something, inside the complex or in the parking lot. The tenants run the complex! read more

I usually don't write reviews but I wanted to warn others of this place. We moved from San Jose to Gilroy just for The Alexander Station apartments. We were among the first group of new tenants in this beautiful new building. I expected the normal or common rather glitches that come along with any new building: elevator breaking, heating or air conditioning problems or any of the things that can happen with something brand new. The place never got better, in fact it got worse! I was so disappointed and angry when after just a year things went from bad to so much worse. The building is always filthy with trash and food every where. There was both human and animal urine in the elevator closest to my apartment on a regular basis. Yes, folks I did say human urine. People party and litter the parking area all the time. Oh and the parking issue is HORRIBLE. In the beginning again I thought everyone was just trying to figure it out. But after a year parking was still a big problem with the management promising more then they could deliver. We were originally told the 4 bedrooms would have Three spaces when we moved in we were lucky to have two. It's a mess. Speaking of management, they are very slow to fix ANYTHING and seem to not care whatsoever when I told them about the filth or graffiti on the stairwells or elevator s. There is maybe one janitor in charge of cleaning those two large buildings as well, you can see how well that is working. Drug deals and usage in the stairwells, kids running around unsupervised. I could honestly go on and on, but I suggest you stay far away from this apartment building. I was told by several natives of Gilroy that the building is pretty much living up to the expectations the town had for it in the first place! On a positive note, the apartment itself was really beautiful!!!! Hope this helps anyone who is thinking about moving here, and maybe because so many of us that moved in right at the opening of the building have moved out maybe just maybe they will get it together over there and offer tenants a nice and safe place to live. It really sucks to leave such a negative rating for an apartment complex. But it's been a bit of a nightmare and honestly we are ready to leave and plan to do so very soon. All the previous reviews are on point and there is no need for me to rewrite them. It amazes me that the one time we moved into affordable housing or whatever you call it, it's been the most horrible and drama filled not to mention unprofessional experience. I'm not sure anything gets done here, they'll gladly take your money but don't take complaints or concerns seriously. Definitely do your research, Salinas is about 20 mins away, you'll have way cheaper rent and won't have to deal with the PROJECT feeling or worry about the rent being so damn ridiculous. Definitely appreciate the lady whom helped us to get in but we have been regretting this move for months now. I don't recommend this complex to anyone, I'm speaking from a place of honesty. read more

Don't know where to start this apartment complex is above amazing. I went to cannery apartments to apply and worse experience ever. I went to Alexander apartments because I was told they were still taking applications so went in and Serene was amazing she help get the process going and keep me updated every step of the way. The whole staff was amazing I sign my lease and they made me and my children feel at ease. Thank you to all of the staff. read more
