Shared Cesar Salad and a pasta. It was okay. Not a good value for money spent. Busy place but we would not go back.

We were off the cruise ship and looking for some good margaritas and nachos. Manuel was outside the restaurant and after looking at the menu and the offer of 2 for 1 margaritas we decided to try his restaurant. It is right on the marina so it is a great people watching spot. Even although it is in such a touristy location the whole experience was phenomenal. We enjoyed wonderful mango margaritas and shared a plate of delicious nachos. All the staff work as a team here so we were very well taken care of. The ambiance is terrific as we looked out at the marina on a bright sunny day. What a perfect stop for a couple of lovely drinks, great food and terrific service in a picture postcard setting. If we're in Cabo San Lucas again I would definitely make Alexander a stop. I would like to try one of their specialty seafood dishes next time - maybe the tequila shrimp. We watched the preparation of the shrimp for another table and they looked amazing. Manual, Charlie, Oscar and Emilio provided a terrific experience for us. They also give a very fair exchange rate on the US dollar. Not all merchants give a fair rate on the US dollar. read more

Food was good and so was the service until the end where they tried to charge me for 4 bottles of water instead of 2. And even after I explained I had been waiting in the back with my family until our table was ready and that they never transferred the original 2 full bottles of water they already charged me for, they still insisted on charging me for 4 bottles, made a scene and drew attention to my family and I by having several employees surrounding us (intimidating), and essentially calling me a liar. This was quite an embarrassing experience while on vacation and did not show much class on their end. I just spent $200 on dinner and you are complaining about 2 bottles of water? Amazing what happened when my wife said "fine, it will just come out of your tip." They would have easily made more on tips and had a 5 star review. Cute seafood restaurant right on the dock. The two of us came here for dinner after walking around the marina. The view itself is beautiful and staff are very attentive and speak both English and Spanish, which was helpful with my broken Spanglish. The Tequila shrimp which is cooked table side is amazing and came with veggies and rice, highly reccomend. My boyfriend had the steak and said it was delicious as well. For drinks I had a Paloma which was strong and citrusy and my boyfriend had a frozen strawberry margarita which was a little to sweet for me personally. All in all this place is great for dinner for their delicious seafood and great service. Another BIG plus is they also have heat lamps for the surprisingly chilly Cabo nights. read more

We came here for a nice Christmas dinner and it did not disappoint! I highly recommend ordering the Caesar salad- our waiter made it table side and it was really cool seeing everything made. I also recommend the escargot. It comes in a puff pastry type thing with creamy sauce. To die for! The only thing I don't recommend is the tomato fettucine. It was honestly pretty subpar. If you're craving a pasta, get the linguine Casanova! It comes with a hearty portion of mushrooms and seafood. My favorite was definitely the flan for dessert. If you want a quiet dinner, you should definitely get seated inside. The place next door plays loud music that can get pretty annoying. read more

I would not be writing this review unless I really thought it was good. I am not kidding seriously one of the best places to eat in Baja cali. Amazing dinner amazing dessert. They make it fresh and everything is just amazing. You must check it out and eat here at least once. We went 3 times all three times were great. Very cautious in Covid but they are not over the top or weird. Definitely tip the waiters when you are here they do a lot and tips to the chef! Food isn't great but the worst part was they tried to overcharge me on the final bill thinking I couldn't do math or wouldn't notice. I had to confront them to get my money back unfortunately and they acted like they noticed and were going to give me my money back. Watch out for the scam artists. If you are going to Cabo, you have to go see Oscar at Alexander's! We had such a memorable time the first time with the food and the service that when we went back 5 years later we had to go back. Ummm I have to think we were here on an off night. I'm giving it 3 stars because the service was so great. Food to me was 2 stars. The Caesar salad that they make fresh at your table was the best part of our meal. We were hopeful after all the hype about this place that we were in for a treat and we were so disappointed. My SIL was the only one out of 4 who really liked her entrée. My fish was dry, my husbands steak was tough and his lobster tail way overcooked. My BIL had the tequila shrimp made at the table and while it was a nice presentation it was also overcooked. Strange since it was cooked in front of our face. Makes me wonder about maybe the quality of the shrimp. Like I mentioned before the staff was very friendly and service was great. They also make a good margarita. But so do half the places in cabo. We go to this restaurant every time we are in town and it never disappoints. The food is always top notch and the waiters are hilarious. People watching is funny too. There were 5 of us including a toddler. The setting is beautiful overlooking the harbor. The fresh fish is always a must order. We had glazed sea bass, Ceasar salad prepared table side, flambé tequila prawns prepared table side as well and also shrimp stuffed chicken. The toddler had linguini Alfredo and ate 3/4's of it. My husband and I spent the week in Cabo fo a wedding (not ours). Although we stayed at an "all inclusive" resort, we decided to take a walk along the marina and have dinner out. As you walk around, all the "restaurant barkers" do all they can do get you into their place to eat. Yes, this can get quite annoying. And, yes, Alexander's has one too. But, something about his pitch made us stop and look. After a minute of talking with him and looking at the specials (they had some great looking filets, lobster tails and jumbo shrimp) we decided to eat. We were seated at a table right out front with a great view of the boats and the passing crowds. As a side note, people watching in Cabo is entertainment all to it self! We ordered the 16oz filet special. This gave both my husband and I 8oz filets which came with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. My husband also ordered a side of the Tequila sautéed jumbo shrimp. To that we added a Caesar salad. The Caesar salad is made to order right at the table. Fun to watch and even better to eat. Then came the filets. They too are cooked table side and were cooked to perfection. The side order of shrimp was also sautéed table-side and cooked just right. We were full and happy, but that didn't stop us from ordering the lava cake for desert. Again, made just right. All of this is done under the watchful eye of Alexander (yes, the actual guy who owns the restaurant). He's right there taking care of the customers, where he has been for over 20 years now! As we told some of the people stopping to ask about Alexander's, could you do better on the marina? Maybe..... Could you do worse? Most definitely. We will be back, for sure!! read more

So during vacation my friends and I took a trip to the mall and got one of those fish pedicures. We asks the owner if he could recommend any good restaurants and he told us about Alexander's. It was a short walk on the marina. I could tell from the yelp reviews we were in for a treat. Oh my the food was amazing!!! The service was amazing!!! The view was amazing!!!! The vibe was amazing!!!
