Being 76 years old and having broken my ankle in 4 places and needing 2 plates and 8 screws used for the repair, l expected a long painful recovery. I had no pain following surgery. I took Tylenol the day after surgery but that was it. In less than 2 months from surgery I was completely healed! Able to walk and exercise with no pain and full use of the injured ankle. My range of motion in my broken ankle was better than my uninjured ankle​. I give Doctor Shi full credit for a great surgery and an outcome beyond my expectations. She provided an offloading pad and specific stretches to work on. Within just a few weeks, my big toe mobility improved, and my capsulitis pain decreased. She also gave me advice on how to correctly tape my toes for capsulitis. She advised me to order a soft silicone liner for offloading the fibromas in my heel.
