BHC Roofing - Finished Project

BHC Roofing

So when i saw their fleet of trucks decend on my street a few years back, efficiently and respectfully doing a neighbors roof, I decided I was going to jettison my old roofer and hire BHC. BHC is a very well run, responsive, personable, respectful, and conscientious business. They come when they say they will, do only what's needed, and provide fair value for their services. The workers are straight forward in their explanations, taking photo evidence of the roofing conditions to share with the home owner. They discuss what needs to be done right away and explain the options available, which is good to have if working with a budget. They follow up with reminders if the roof is coming due for maintainence which is a nice service. Outta sight, outta mind is human nature, so i appreciate the reminders for recoats, etc. The roof is not something to leave to chance, especially with the crazy weather experienced lately ( strong winds, hail, torrential rainfall, etc). I recently had a clogged downspout (from some tree debris) that was pooling water on the roof and BHC was out within a few days of my call. No job is too small when it comes to their customers. I sincerely appreciate that kind of respect and service. I am so glad I found BHC Roofing! They are a reliable, honest roofing company providing excellent work (at a fair price) which they stand behind. A joke: Q: How did the roofer get such good feedback on his roof installation? A: He nailed it. Thanks, BHC!

We went with BHC Roofing for total roof replacement. A leaking roof is your worst nightmare, but…read morethe whole experience of dealing with BHC roofing can't be smoother. From the back office to their actual project team, every step of the journey has been dealt with efficiency and professionalism. The team arrived at our house at 7 am and they were in the process of cleaning up by 11 am. During the process, there was minimum noise and they were very honest about the roof conditions in terms of what part of the decking needed to be replaced and what looked good. We've been dealing with different contractors in the past several years due to our moving around. BHC Roofing is definitely one of the better contractors. Highly recommended!

We hired Reico (and worked with Cindy) for a full kitchen redesign, and the most important element…read morewe asked for was an island that would seat five people comfortably, with storage on one end. We were extremely clear that the seating needed to be unobstructed--essentially, a counter-height table extension from the cabinets. The final design we approved included an apron, but no measurements were provided to explain how it would impact stool clearance. The rendering even showed five stools at the island, which gave us confidence that it would work as intended. Unfortunately, that was a huge mistake. Because of a poorly designed apron, it is physically impossible to fit standard counter-height stools under the island. The clearance is so low that no stool exists that both fits under the island and allows you to sit and eat comfortably. In other words, the centerpiece of our kitchen--the island seating--is a total failure. It is appalling that a professional kitchen designer would overlook such a basic and critical detail. We assumed we could trust her expertise, but that assumption has left us with an island that cannot function as designed and no reasonable options to fix it without a major renovation. If you are considering working with this company, be warned: do not assume the designer has considered the practical details. Double-check every measurement yourself, because we learned the hard way that they do not.

Disappointing. After reading the reviews and browsing the website (especially the photos), I was…read moreexcited to begin a relationship for a successful project. My husband and I met with the designer (a great lady- big picture-oriented and practical) and her recommended contractor (a knowledgeable, detail-oriented guy who took the time to explain things), and we were excited. When we received the design and estimates, we did get a sticker-shock with respect to the markups of the costs. Based on our designer/contractor interactions, however, we were still considering Reico, even with the markups! But, the level of responsiveness dropped dramatically. Before we knew it, we were informed that our designer (the great lady) was "no longer with the company" and I now have all these spam-type calls from random people I don't know at Reico. Rude.

5 J's Contractor - This is the stamped concrete that was later ripped up. There were about 35 of these puddles every time it rained

**AVOID***AVOID***AVOID***AVOID***AVOID***AVOID***AVOID***…read more***AVOID***AVOID***AVOID***AVOID***AVOID***AVOID***AVOID*** My experience with 5J's Contractor is not a good one. I hired Edson Aragon (owner 5 J's) to replace my front porch with regular concrete and my back patio with dyed stamped concrete. He did an extremely poor job on both. The patio was not level, the seams were busting open and corners of the concrete were breaking off. The back patio was so bad that Edson agreed to remove the stamped concrete and replace with regular concrete. (It was our decision to do regular concrete because we were leery of doing stamped concrete since the 1st job was so bad.) The 2nd job was no better. The patio is not level. There are puddles of water every time it rains. The finish is rough with lots of swirl marks. The sides are sloppy. Our property has been damaged with splashed concrete all over the vinyl siding, fence, door & door frames, windows and furniture. I texted Edson numerous times about the mess he made and he promised to "clean this week" but he never showed up. I had no choice but to sue 5 J's for my money. I won that lawsuit but of course Edson refused to pay. If you're looking for an honest contractor that knows what they are doing, this is not your guy!
