How great and rate it is to find great medical professionals who are gifted in science AND great with people. I was referred by the pharmacy staff at the local CVS. So, I already knew he knew his business, medically. I was very sick when I first went to see Dr. Emami, new to town, and just off a bad experience with another local doctor's office. He was calming, told me not to worry about anything, and sent me for blood tests. He made sure I got a TDap shot before I left. He gave me a new prescription that worked wonders. During my follow up visit, he reviewed all my blood tests, even gave me my own copy of the results. He saw that I had lost weight (13 lb). Instead of making a big deal of it, he said "that's good" and smiled. He has SUCH a great style of communication! He prescribed me calcium and vitamin D supplements, told me to set an annual physical date and a mammogram appointment and a 3 month blood test follow up appointment. He's SO thorough, I wanted to take notes. He suggested a Hep B series because I work with children. I got my shot before I left. I made my annual appointment at he desk with the angel Sue and made my mammogram appointment in the car before driving off.

I contacted Dr. Kollmorgen for an independent 2nd opinion. I had previously had bilateral hip…read morescopes in L.A. with a diffrent surgeon. Dr. Kollmorgen went out of his way to accommodate me, since I was out-of-state. First, I emailed Dr. Kollmorgen my reports. We set up a phone consult to discuss what his findings were. In that call he was brutally honest. This was something I was looking for. An honest second opinion. Not influenced by the original surgeon's name, or whom he trained under. I explained to Dr. Kollmorgen I had MRAs scheduled, and he offered to review those images as well. I couldn't met with him when I traveled back to L.A. for the MRAs on both hips. Are schedules conflicted. But, I did send the images to him afterward. Dr. Kollmorgen gave me his opinion. In the coming weeks I would email him questions because of just confusion. Dr. Kollmorgen went out of his way to respond. Finally, I arranged to fly back to California from Michigan in April 2019. Dr. Kollmorgen arranged to have a CT Scan of both hips to check version issues, and give me the finally overall picture. I was pleasantly shocked with his compassion. Dr. Kollmorgen was to fly out to speak at a conference the day we met. So, he actually came in to met with me on a non-clinic day. Which he had to arrange with his department head to get 1 exam room for a few hours. I am so thankful to the department head for giving the green light. Dr. Kollmorgen spent 1hr and 40mins with me. Taking an entire history prior to surgery, the surgery itself, and the post op care and rehab. I realized how genuine his attitude was toward patient care was, when he enquired how I was actually doing. Pain wise, mentally, emotionally. I've been to enough Orthopedic surgeons, since age 9 about my hips, to know that very few actaully care enough about a patient to ask how they are doing. The finally outcome wasn't the best news. But, Dr. Kollmorgen has bent over backwards to email me back and discuss my fears of moving forward with surgery. He has even called me since we've met. There are a lot of orthopedic hip surgeons who do this surgery, who shouldn't be doing it. Unfortunately, I know this first hand. But, what is promoted is the ones who train and train to do the hip scopes, PAO/DFO, and revision surgeries correctly. Those are few and inbetween. They strive for greatness with their training and patient care everyday. Dr. Kollmorgen will be the first to say his field has come a long way. But, Dr. Kollmorgen will also be the first to say that the field still has a way to go. For me, I have spoken personally with a PAO patient of his who is doing good. A Bilateral Hip Scope Revision patient who is doing fantastic as well. It's wonderfully to connect with patients of his that needed hope and found it with his surgical skills. I'm hoping to delay surgery until June 2020. I feel it's important to be mentally prepared for Bilateral Hip Revision Surgeries, and PAOs. My outcome from the originally surgery done by a surgeon has been horrible. I'm in constant pain! Dr. Kollmorgen has been supportive of my decision not to jump into another surgery asap. He has supported my choice to have another surgeon do PRP injections in each hip to help with pain control in order to delay. He has show me courtesy and respect by acknowledging my stress, fears, and anxiety over this situation, and even additional surgeries. So much so, as someone from Michigan, I'm willing to overlook the fact he is originally born and raised a Buckeye He by far is a great person and surgeon. Well, worth the travel to Fresno, California for an evaluation. I hope to be able to update in the future and tell everyone about my success and how great he was during the surgery process, and even post operatively.

It was very challenging for me to choose a new OB after seeing the same one for over 10 years. I was given recommendations by friends and neighbors and after weeks and weeks of research and reading reviews, I decided to go with Dr. Lopez. Whilst pregnant with my first child, he was very attentive during my prenatal visits and answered the Millions of questions I had as a NERVOUS first time mom (which I'm sure he's heard over and over again). He never rushed and he always ensured I had peace of mind before walking out of the appointment. What I appreciate most about Dr. Lopez is that he gave me the choice whether to deliver c section or normal. He delivered my first child and I'm definitely going to have him deliver my 2nd or 3rd too. Highly recommended!!!!

I used to really trust Dr. Lorenzo Lopez. He cared for me through seven pregnancies, starting when…read moreI was just 14 and a first-time mom. Back then, he was working at the Women's Center in Reedley, and I continued with him through the years--even after switching to private insurance and later to Medi-Cal. He made an exception for me, and I followed him from Reedley to Clovis. Keep in mind, this office doesn't accept Medi-Cal and never has, but he continued seeing me and delivered three of my children there. He delivered my daughter in 2019 and my son in 2020. But even then, I started noticing issues--like when he missed my daughter's delivery because he was still in the office. A nurse had to deliver her, and his excuse was that he wasn't called in time. In 2022, I became pregnant again, and unfortunately, I miscarried at almost six months. Dr. Lopez saw me only once afterward, with no empathy and no real explanation--just, "You're halfway through; this is what happened." Shortly after, his office called to tell me he would no longer see me because of my Medi-Cal coverage. After all those years and all those pregnancies, I felt completely abandoned. Thankfully, I was referred to UCSF in San Francisco. The drive was long, but the level of care was on a whole different level. They supported me through a surgical procedure during my next pregnancy in 2023, which helped me carry my rainbow baby safely. Later, I learned from my new OB-GYN that being induced in my past pregnancies carried risks that were never fully explained to me. That was hard to hear. I always believed Dr. Lopez had my best interest at heart, but looking back, I question how informed I really was. I do want to acknowledge his medical assistant, she is amazing and so kind. But I can no longer recommend Dr. Lopez. What hurt the most was being dropped after my miscarriage and being told I couldn't be seen anymore because of my insurance, despite being a loyal patient for years. Shame on you, Dr. Lopez. I don't forget where you came from--and I never expected to be treated like that. To anyone reading this: do your research. If you can, look into doctors in the Bay Area or at Cedars-Sinai. It may be a drive, but it's worth it to receive real care. I felt I had to leave this review because a couple of girlfriends recently asked me for OB recommendations--and I gave them my honest answer. Personally, I would feel more comfortable having Dr. Dan Dorough (He delivered my son when Dr.Lopez was on vacation) take care of me than Dr. Lorenzo Lopez at this point. Thank you, Dr. Lopez, for the care you did provide, but also for letting me go when I was at my lowest. I ended up receiving amazing care at UCSF in San Francisco, and today I have my rainbow baby. I called the office, and luckily they were able to fit me in the following week, which I greatly appreciated. The office staff was very nice, the waiting room nice and clean. The doctor was SO nice and patient. A lot of times, it feels like if you ask a doctor a question, they get annoyed like you're bothering them. This doctor never cut me off, he never sighed, he never showed any sign that I may be bothering him. I had my 4 year old daughter with me, and he was even patient with her. At one point, she asked me if she could talk to him. I said yes, and she goes over to the doctor, sits on the chair beside him, and tell him that she isn't feeling so good, and then kind of fake coughs. lol He just smiled and talked with her, for a bit. That was simply lovely. If you're on the search for a primary care physician, I would greatly recommend giving Dr. Godiksen a try. I am very satisfied with all aspects of this practice.

I wanted a doctor of internal medicine for sure and some friends recommended him to me. Now after all of these years I look back and think how lucky I was that I found him. There are lots of things that can go wrong over 25 years that need a really good doctor's bedside manner, diagnosis and prescribed treatment. Never once in all of these years after we left his office have either I or my wife not felt that he truly cared for us and was providing the best of medical care. Finally, let me just say that Dr. Rush's office staff including, April and Yvonne are the best. One can feel that they, too, care so much about Dr, Rush's patients.
