I used Hlson for a roofing project in October 2025; all was good with both the job and pricing. I…read morecalled back in mid February for a fascia repair above a window area. An estimator came out and inspected it but did not give me a written estimate. The next day a crew of 2 came to repair the area and the estimator came back with the written estimate but the job was already finished (in 3.5 hours). Only 1 of the crew, a young guy, actually worked on the repair; the 2nd crew person left to pick up 2 boards needed for the repair. The estimator did not correctly asses what materials needed to be on the work truck, necessitating a drive to purchase materials. I was charged for 2 half days of labor plus driving ( a total of 2 crewman for 8 hours each) however only 1 crew person actually worked; the 2nd crew person was gone for 2 hours picking up supplies and when she was on the site- she only assisted in priming the 2 boards that were replaced, for about 30 minutes. I shared photos of the 2nd crewman leaving and returning as well as standing around during the time the 1st crew worked. Further, although I was charged for a full bucket of primer, the container was only 1/4 full at the beginning and the crew did not leave me the leftover primer, which I was charged for. I was charged at the end a total of 16 hours for labor and driving time and I estimated the labor for crew person 1 to be 3.78 hours and crew person 2 to be 3 hours although she did not work except for about 30 minutes. I would not use this company for repairs as they do not provide timely estimates and the number of crew needed for a job are padded high as well as not working although being paid to work; the crew are dishonest and the owners of the company. Having had quite a bit of experience with roofs and roofers as a homeowner, I feel well qualified to take up a lot of space saying many nice things about this company. A better way to highlite why this is a superior company is to tell you the reader how you can tell for yourself and be absolutely amazed. Based on my experience, virtually every roofer in Miami will measure your roof at around 15% bigger than it is acutally is. I have the written estimates to prove it. Redland Roofing,gives you an honest measurement, a fair price and outstanding workmanship. Dont be lazy. Don't take my word for it. A new roof job is not only extremely expensive, the well being of you and your family and your finances may depend on how your roof performs should we get a hurricane. Not only that, a poor roof job may leak or have a shorter than normal lifespan. All you have to do is get up on your roof with a ladder and carefully measure your roof. Have someone hold the ladder, take your time, bring a large measuring tape and a pad and paper. The roofer you catch screwing you will claim that the roof deck square footage is greater than the interior square footage. This is true due to overhang, roof pitch and wall thickness. However you will be measuring the roof deck yourself so you know how large it is. A roofer you catch cheating on the measurement,may claim that roofs are measured in squares. This is true. A square is exactly 100 square feet. The roofer may say he had to round the roof measurement up to the nearest square. That would only account for less than 100 square feet of cheating. A roofer could also claim that because all roofers cheat, he had to do the same to be competitive. :) Some roofers may try to give you an estimate without writing the size in square feet of the roof. That way the cheat is not in writing. Redland Roofing is a family run company. If any crooked roofers out there are not happy with this post, dont complain to Redland Roofing. They did not put me up to this. Dont believe it. Read my other posts. I tell it like it is. Good luck and who ever you use for your roof, take it seriously, because most roofers in Miami won't Redland Roofing will.

Replacement of a large roof is messy work and Jason Caston and his crew took measures to protect our landscaping, driveways and pool and deck areas - everyday. Recently we noticed a leak from a bathroom ceiling! Jason responded immediately and after a thorough examination it turned out our the sealing of our stone/coral chimney (40 years old) had finally succumbed to age. Water was leaching through the chimney seams. Prior to ascertaining it was the chimney and completely repairing that leak, Jason and his team did meaningful replacement work of a section of our roof which proved unnecessary. His company probably spent 6 full days in repairing the roof (unnecessary) and the chimney. He replaced the bathroom ceiling and repainted that room!
