Not only is Alex a great magician which he should be since he's the longest running show in Tahoe history but he's a showman. It's just incredible. Everyone was involved the entire audience. I strongly recommend if you're in Tahoe you have to see this guy. He's funny. He's awesome. you just gotta like the guy.

Wow, what a show! Hidden gem in Tahoe! I have been to quite a few magic shows over the years - Penn & Teller, David Copperfield, illusionist, mind readers, you name it but to me, this show takes the cake. With my 6 year old in tow we came to this show to celebrate the upcoming new year. This show is a must see. Not only was my whole family in awe over the performance & tricks but my little one got to assist with one of them on stage and was over the moon. This show was different than the others. Alex puts his heart into it and it shows. He has a beautiful message to give to kids & adults- I was so moved by it and so was my whole family. You leave the theatre leaving hopeful, happy and touched by magic and in today's environment we can all use bit more of that in our lives. This is truly a special show for the whole family to enjoy. I know we will be back again. Bravo Alex. read more

Alex is engaging, funny, talented, has great stage presence, he genuinely loves what he does and oh yes...did I mention he is a magician... Go to his show in Lake Tahoe. You will be stunned by his illusions, captivated by his humor and wooed by his sweet dog "MJ". Need to know: there are bathrooms close by, there are drinks and a variety of snacks offered which are a little overpriced. You can also come in with your own snacks and beverage. Alex Ramon is a world class master magician. I have never been so amazed or in awe in my life!!! I don't understand why he is not a household name?! I loved how he got my daughter involved in the act and even gave her a hat. He is a genuinely nice guy and even waited after the show to sign autographs, take pics and yes give hugs and pets from Mj. My fav trick was when his assistant turned around and Alex Ramon appeared and his assistant appeared across the room. I'm dumbfounded how he did that! I'd definitely go to another show! read more

SERVICE: Easy to get to (we walked from across the street). Tickets sold online through TicketMaster who I hate lol but that has nothing to do with the show. Clean venue. Customer service was friendly and helpful. It wasn't just about the magic. It was about the story-telling (educational components threaded into the show). It, too, was a meaningful gesture to incorporate his grandmother, which he didn't have to do. I must admit, it teared my eyes. The sarcasm may have been a bit much for others maybe, but it was right up my alley - Loved It! Can I also add that he used some MJ music tracks, I mean, HELLO - a show isn't a show without a great soundtrack. Note, all the music was nicely incorporated. And for you dog lovers, he has his dog. The show was an 1.5 long if needing to know, 730-9pm. For sure, put it on your list of things to do while in the area. I hope he becomes even more popular. WELL: Go! Just pay the money and go. What a great show. What a great experience. What a great person - from what I can gather lol. I'd definitely return if I came back to South Lake Tahoe. read more

Magic with heart. Alex is amazing and MJ is the cutest dog you have ever seen. Magic with HEART. HOWEVER - don't fall for them telling you that your kid can get a free bag with Mj's picture on it if you post on yelp or social media. Because a very rude lady named Alyssa told my 12 year-old (after we posted) that yelp is not the approved social media? And seriously did not give her a bag. After having a great night, she really ruined the mood. Which is sad because Alex is awesome. read more

This was the best show I have ever seen. The magic was amazing. I want to talk about the man. Alex was engaging to everyone in the crowd. He was funny. His stories were so personal and interesting. This is our 2nd time seeing Alex's show. It's amazing magic but what makes the night memorable is Alex and his showmanship. He is a very kind person and always meet/greet his audience post show. He truly appreciates his audience. There can be 20 or 200 audience member - it doesn't matter he is passionate about his craft. He is the 2024 North American champion for stage magic and on his way to the 2025 FISM World Championship of Magic in Italy. Congrats and good luck! read more

The show was super interactive and he involved and genuinely engaged with nearly everyone in the audience. The jokes were funny but yet very clean and family friendly. We all had a good time and would highly recommend. The location of the theater is super convenient in the Heavenly shoppes location and you could park in the parking lot across the street for 2 hours. We didn't purchase any food at the theater since we just had a late lunch. No outside food is allowed.

Near the Chocolate and Champagne shop. We arrived at 4:13 pm and entered on the ground floor. We assumed they were selling popcorn , as we could smell it, but sent us to the 3rd floor, without offering us any popcorn as an option to take to the show. It was a bit confusing as when we entered the show people had drinks and popcorn. They also had a bar right outside the theater to the show and I overheard someone say you can only take water into the show. Looking around after we sat down we saw many people with cocktails and other drinks. For those of you that are thinking about going to the show. I believe you can buy popcorn on the 1st floor and you can stop at the bar on the 3rd floor and get your drinks before going to the theater. In addition they allow you up to the 3rd floor early, but the doors to the theater open 15 minutes before the show. I also heard that the 4:30 show was geared to kids and the 7:30 show was geared to adults. This we choose the 4:30pm show thinking it would be pg. it was more like pg 13. Some adult humor was thrown in. I'm really glad we didn't go to the 7:30 show as that would have been too much for me. The magic show was great. I have no idea how he performed his tricks. He was both funny and entertaining. I highly Reccomend this as part of your entertainment when you're up in Tahoe.

My husband, my mom and I got tickets and we were worried because it looked like the audience was mostly empty, but for a Wednesday night in October, the audience was perfect. It was intimate in the magic dedicated theater space and we felt close to other audience members by the end. The performance was jaw dropping. In so many ways we are still saying "How the heck did he do that?!?!" This show could easily translate to a huge venue but I feel we were lucky to have such a close up performance that absolutely blew our minds. If you get a chance, go!

The outside walk to the pool is the equivalent to those found in less expensive motels. The promise of a private beach for Landing guests is very misleading. Use of it required ticketed entry. No chairs or umbrellas except expensive rentals from another location (not available most times). OK, now the plusses. The staff including the new GM were welcoming and helpful. But the hit of our stay was the restaurant. Their cuisine was as good as any restaurant we've been to. Their chef produced absolutely outstanding menu choices and presentations. The waiter crew were friendly and professional with special consideration to Clay who made our evening meal choices memorable. Overall, with some needed structural enhancements to the hotel, itself, it would live up to its web description. Thank God for the restaurant.

We also have a friend who is a photographer and we haven't had professional photos taken since our wedding 18 years ago so we thought The Landing would be the perfect place since they host weddings here and it's right next to the beach. There are so many excellent parts to mention but I will start with the staff. From the moment we walked in, everyone was so friendly and welcoming to us and our dog. Our 15 year old had just passed and so our 12 year old was a little lost and loved all of the attention. She was treated just like one of the family. They even allow dogs on the free shuttle which is so perfect so we were able to go into the village and have lunch with her. It's a downhill walk back and so pretty, so we enjoyed the fresh air back. They upgraded our room and the views of the lake were perfect. It was so easy taking Juno out for potty breaks. It was extremely quiet and clean. The heated floors and toilets are a nice touch. We had dinner one night in the restaurant and it is the best meal I've had in Tahoe. The Venison is unbelievably tender and flavorful. My husband loved his homemade pasta with huge prawns. Our server, Kevin, went above and beyond to make the night special. They even let us take a few pictures in the bar area which I think turned out really cool with all of the bottles and colors in the background. Of course we all come for Tahoe! This place is right on a perfect spot. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, some trees and grassy areas also made for perfect pictures. We were there right at the start of Memorial Day weekend so it was extremely quiet and peaceful. I'm sure it will get busy in the height of summer but even then being able to walk across the street from your room makes it so convenient. We want to thank everyone at The Landing for a perfect trip! We can't wait to do it again!

Even the cheapest hotels provide coffee in the room to make coffee in the morning with the coffee maker like, how can you be so fucking cheap?

If you want to give yourself a treat, make sure to catch Alex's show at the Hard Rack Casino. He is a top notch entertainer and brilliant magician with a very engaging personality. It is hard to find a show that works for all ages, but Alex has certainly mastered that skill. Our 8 year old granddaughter and her near 90 year old grandparents were equally entertained. Had a great time seeing Alex Ramon's magic show! He made me laugh so much, there was great music, there were heartwarming parts that literally brought tears to my eyes, but most of all he made magic! I randomly found an ad for this show and texted in to win tickets. My sister and I went and were thoroughly entertained , lots of laughs and he's a very mischievous character. His banter with his audience and is witty, sassy and caring. He has a good show going on and I definitely recommend. He had us laughing most of the time and the rope trick confused us so much. Family friendly show with fun magic and a good storyline. Used Viator to book tickets, ready at will call and the line was quick to enter. Make it a night out and eat at the casino or purchase in gift shop to get parking validated (which cost 30 bucks) or park and walk from Heavenly Village to avoid parking all together. Viator can be a little confusing if you aren't aware that Caesar's Republic is not where you see the show. Go to Harrah's box office, then show is right there. Have Fun! read more
