Went in to have Epley procedure done for BPPV Vertigo…read more Treated by Dr. Mathur. She was very nice and polite. After talking for a while she said she would perform the treatment. The treatment was done on the wrong side, the table she used was not designed for this procedure and it seemed like she had never done it before. Required help from my spouse to position me because of the improper table. After that my Vertigo was worse. I went to a physical therapist 2 days later and had the procedure done on the correct side , correctly and felt better almost immediately.

I did have the surgery done by UCLA, but requested to return to Dr. Eivaz for follow ups since I felt comfortable seeing him and didn't feel the staff at UCLA could provide aftercare that Eivaz wouldn't be able to take care of himself. Plus driving out to Westwood and paying to park at the university parking lot for the same quality of follow ups didn't make a whole lot of sense as far as I was concerned. He looked in my mouth, peeked up my nose with his little light, gave me a hearing test and told me I was fine with no explanation of why I was having these issues or any advice on how to deal with them. That was over a year ago. I've still been dealing with these issues so I finally went to another ENT to hopefully get some answers. This Dr. listened to me, asked a lot of questions and then put a camera up my nose and down to my throat. It turns out I have a deviated septum. It's not uncommon and is treatable. If Dr Low would've did his job he would've found this a long time ago. Thanks for wasting my time.

Each time I have visited, he abruptly leaves and I never know if he's coming back or not. I wait 10-15 mins before popping my head out to see that he's seeing another patient. I had surgery done on my nose for breathing issues and he actually messed up my eye and I had a leaky eye, which means it looked like one of my eyes Was always tearing up. It was horrible. I had to spend a lot of time and money going to an eye surgeon to get that issue fixed. The issue was caused by Dr. Lo, but he didn't want to take any ownership and advised me to go to an eye surgeon for treatment. How convenient, you do the damage and then pass me off to someone else. Would not recommend this doctor!

I'd been so impressed with her that I commented on her clarity and empathy and she explained having had medical problems as a child that gave her perspective that guided her interactions with patients.
