Beef ravioli

For a place that advertises ravioli on their sign, I would have expected something other than washed and rinsed chef boyardee ravioli. I legit believe that is all they do. 2-2.5 stars... The garlic bread and meatballs were good, and the sauce is pretty delicious.. that's the only saving grace for my meal.

Best dang All Meat Pizza!

Man. You can't go wrong with their meat lovers pizza.. I love the same waiter that's been there for years, he just makes the place! I love the classic pizza place feel too! Crust is crispy, tons of meat, perfect amount of cheese..

Dad with his pep and mushroom.

I'm a life long lover of this place. Yes Mike is gone and his wife, but I'll never ever stop loving on this institution. My parents had date nights here, I've had date nights here. This is what loving life is like. Italian from Sicily comes to America to make his mark on life. Thank you Mike and the family. ama sempre!

They charged me $23 for two noodles and a single meatball for a "full order" of the manicotti with meatballs. Downright disrespectful.

Girl behind the counter, always acts like she's pissed off and you are inconveniencing her by showing up. Definitely not a welcoming vibe.

Not Lafayette's best pizza but pretty good. Little on the greasy side for me. Still overall good.

My wife and I did a before and after…read more We visited Sarrica's Little Italy before we traveled to Italy to sort of get in the mood. Our first visit was fantastic. Yes, it was crowded, but that's a healthy sign! In fact, we were lucky enough to find a parking space in the lot. From antipasto to dessert everything was top notch. So, we went to Italy and came back changed people. In fact, I started making my own pasta being inspired by what I experienced. There is a tremendous difference between fresh and shelf. We finally made it back to Sarrica's last Saturday, and I don't know how one could be more impressed, but they did it again! We got there early and immediately got a table. A half hour later the place was getting packed. We went straight to the Primo skipping the antipasto this time. Our food arrived quickly, and at first the portion looked smaller than before. But I was deceived! The dish was full! And delicious! And gone! I'm usually not known for cleaning my plate, but had we been in a darker corner I probably would be licking what's left! No, seriously, it's that good! This place would be popular in Sicily or Rome or Tuscany! You can tell someone in the kitchen is proud of what they're serving to be so consistent. There's no question we'll be returning - if we find a parking space!

The pizza dough is incredible; their thin crust pizza is unlike anything else in town. I usually don't eat the crust, but here I ate every bite. You must order the Puffetta appetizer--it's melted mozzarella in their marinara sauce with puff dough, served fresh out of the oven, perfect for dipping. The pasta is another highlight--they hand make their own, and it's so good. The portion is just right, flavorful without feeling heavy. Serra's has quickly become our new favorite in town. Highly recommend.

We went to Ruffino's on the River for my wife's birthday. We've eaten here quite a few times over…read morethe years and were really looking forward to coming back. The only disappointment was finding out our favorite appetizer, the pork cheeks, is no longer on the menu. We decided to try the crabmeat cheesecake instead, and it was pretty good. For our entrées, my wife ordered the Fish Katie, which was as good as always, and I had the lamb chop special. The lamb chops were cooked well and had great flavor. To top off the evening, the staff brought out cotton candy and a slice of olive oil cake for my wife's birthday, which was a nice touch and made the celebration feel special. Overall, we had a very enjoyable dinner with good food and attentive service. We definitely plan on coming back and hope the pork cheeks make a return to the menu someday!

This is our second time going to Ruffino's. The first time we went, the food was excellent, but…read moreservice was lackluster. The waiter completely forgot to put in our salad order, but made up for it by bringing us a salad at the end of our meal and comping it. An honest mistake and the dishes we ordered were delicious so they made up for it. They also gave us cotton candy, which I love. The crawfish cheesecake was really good and the veal parm was very tasty. Tonight was an even worse experience. We had reservations for my daughter's Sweet 16 birthday, which you know is an important occasion. My son is allergic to dairy so he was limited in what he could order, which is understandable. He ordered the Wagyu burger, and the waiter unfortunately told us that they were out of Wagyu, so we had to piece together something else for him to eat. After ordering one of their specials - the fried brisket, with a side containing dairy, we swapped it out for truffle fries with no cheese. Minutes later, the waiter came to our table, telling us they were out of truffle fries. Moving along, he suggested the fried brussels sprouts. Once again, several minutes later, he returned saying they were out of brussels sprouts, so we just ordered whatever we could at that point. I ordered veal marsala, which was ok but not great. My daughter ordered spaghetti and meatballs, and the dish was just overall very bland. There were random lasagna noodles in her spaghetti, which made it seem like they just scraped the bottom of the pot for noodles. Everything looked like it was left over from the day. My husband ordered the same thing we had at our first dinner - veal parm, and the portion was significantly reduced from the first time he had it. It was also lackluster in appearance and the cheese looked like it had basically been microwaved. Probably not but it had no baked golden color whatsoever. Perhaps the most disappointing occurrence was that we called ahead to see if we should bring our own candle for my daughter's birthday dessert. We were told we could, but that they had sparklers. I thought sparklers would be an amazing alternative to a candle, so we left our candle at home. There were two other tables seated in our section, celebrating birthdays. One table's birthday dish came out with a sparkler, but when they brought out my daughter's dessert, no sparkler. Really?! The other table next to us had their dessert presented after us and they GAVE THEM A SPARKLER. Excuse me?? The idea of giving two tables full of grown-ups sparklers, but not a 16-year-old a sparkler, made us feel like we were an afterthought. Good thing my daughter and I were in the bathroom, washing our hands, when the second table received their sparkler, because I would've been very upset for her watching other people receive delightful birthday desserts, but not her. I think most of the issues with communicating that dishes were out of stock fell on the kitchen staff and not our waiter. Our waiter Dominic was very nice and apologetic, otherwise, I would probably give an even lower rating. You could tell he was very uncomfortable to deliver us the bad news over and over again. He did comp our desserts, so that was appreciated. We tipped him handsomely and went on our way. We are likely to not return, since they seem to have a serious breakdown of communication as well as consistency. When you pay $300 for a meal, especially for an important occasion, you expect the establishment to be on their game. Nobody wants to be at a fine dining venue and meet that much disappointment. Unfortunately, it was a not so Sweet 16.

Fortunately, there was an open table for two in the middle of the dining area. Their meatballs brought both of us back to homemade ones the two of us used to make, so instant plus for that, and the bread was also great with the given butter and marinara we had leftover. The true seller for us was the veal pasta we had. I'll crave it for a long time from now, and the pizza was also equally enjoyed. I'd also love to say the restaurant's style for inside and especially the staff folk were amazing. To our waiter Porter and another waiter Lindsey, ya'll were treasures to meet, and I have faith the other staff are equally amazing. Anyone in the area with the time and money should come to this amazing place for a special occasion, it could certainly live up to it.

The quality and flavor of the food here was amazing and the prices were so reasonable! The veal pannata was delicious, great size sized dish. The veal was flatted and fried perfectly! Anything on the menu I don't think you could go wrong with! ALSO this was our first time here and I have to mention the pallet cleanser with the lemon sorbet was just an extra special touch! Also, they do not have a dessert menu, inside they have a dessert tray that they come out and show you!!! SERVICE: we had Casey as our server and she was great! She gave us recommendations as well listed all of the specials for us! We came on a Wednesday evening so it was pretty dead, but excellent service! AMBIANCE: the ambiance is incredible. I truly have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. You walk in and it feels like a luxury restaurant, but you don't break the bank on one dish! Everything was clean, moody, and perfect for a date night or celebration! If anything it was a little chilly so I'd recommend bringing a jacket!

It reminds me of a restaurant back in the 80's or early 90's so could use updating but still a clean nice place. The service was friendly. I ordered the chicken parmesan and it was just ok. The chicken & spaghetti were room temperature so I'm not sure if the chicken is suppose to be served this temperature since I'm not Italian but I wasn't impressed. The sauce was super dark, another thing I'm not sure about but it needed more spices. My friend had the crepes and they were crispy so she really enjoyed them! I might go back to try another dish but not sure as of now.

I explained to her, that that was not their standard, and their pizzas have always had a generous amount of toppings. We were grateful that she offered to make it over - that is the good service that we'll remember when we explore our choices - and there are LOTS of restaurants to choose from. They course corrected on the do-over and actually overdid it a bit, but they weren't leaving anything to chance and wanted to please. Done and done, though I didn't ask for twice as much, just a healthy amount for a $30 pizza. However, I was advised that if I wanted what might be considered a normal, but generous amount of toppings, I would need to order double the amount next time. I guess this is the new norm here for a pizza - which last I knew was flour, olive oil, pizza sauce, cheese, 1 protein and 4 veggies. What makes all of this so negative, is that we've been patronizing this spot for literally 25 years - since they opened! Once upon a time they were the only game in town save for just a couple other Italian - locally owned pizza restaurants. We've been loyal throughout its many owners and there have been many. We've celebrated birthdays, anniversaries and New Year's Eve fam dinners. It was our go-to spot, but like so much in this culture and economy La Pizzeria has lost its soul and its conscience. It's been 6 months or more since we last ordered from here and after today, it will likely be as long before we patronize this place again. Dining in last time was horrible - maybe 2 years ago when they had a fly problem - we left before ordering.

Everything was delicious! Service was quick and friendly! We will definitely be back soon to try…read moresome other menu items
