If youre struggling financially and need to see if they can work with you they wont. Its really disappointing and I would look into another school and make sure you ask about the payments. I usually make my payments and asked if I could work with paying $50 next week I paid $100. I did get a rude response in an email back smh. Had a pretty good experience dealing with ADI, they're strict but everything is pretty clearly laid out before you, so you can't really be surprised by anything, which I did like. All the counselors were generally helpful and seemed like they cared, which was nice. Shout out to Claudia in the office! She was amazing in helping schedule and figure out all my classes/makeups/groups (which honestly, was pretty stressful) but she was very helpful and I felt like she really loved her job and truly wanted to help. This program is a joke. My first week there, The educational class instructor literally told the class he is "wasting time" because he had a trip to go on. He spends the first hour letting people ask questions about anything, even things that aren't DUI related, like BBQing and Disneyland. He is still better than the counseling facilitator. For counseling, all he does is go around each week, asks the same questions, and tells us the only way to not get a DUI is to quit drinking. It's redundant, repetitive, and unrealistic. He gives zero strategies or advice for those who aren't alcoholics and only drink recreationally. He can't even be bothered to actually get to know us or remember any details, it would be as simple as taking a few notes while we speak. I feel bad because I think that the instructors do want to help, I just think that they aren't well equipped to be teaching this class at all. Maybe it's the training or the lack of resources. I was hoping to actually get an opportunity to reflect on my drinking habits and learn from others, instead I completely waste my two hours in this BS class. These instructors are one dimensional. Absolute extortionists . They will give extra fees and demand more money after completion or they will say you didn't finish . In my case it was 6 months after. Now a year and a half later they are extorting me again with threats that they will contact the DMV saying that I never completed their classes. read more

I recently took the ADI DUI program on Zoom and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the experience. The counselors really seem like they care and provided a lot of useful insight. I was pleased with the many options for class times and found the class started to become something I actually looked forward to each week. I've seen some of the reviews about them not being flexible, but I'm not sure how that can be said about a program that offers so many different times of class that you only have to attend once per week on Zoom. The office staff was also really knowledgeable and even contacted the DMV on my behalf and found out I only needed to do a 3 month program not a 9 month program. I thought that was really great considering it was less money for them. I'm going to make sure I don't have to go back but if you need a DUI program, this is the spot! read more

I unfortunately got a DUI and had to take a court ordered program. I chose ADI because of the flexible class schedule and the fact that I could do the program online. It's also really easy to sign up on their website. When I started the program the woman on the phone told me that most people don't want the program to end by the time they are finishing and I laughed at her. Turns out, she was right. I grew to love my counselor and my weekly group of fellow DUI recipients. It was a great place to go each week and just check in about my life. I learned a lot and also found the office staff to be extremely helpful and professional if I needed to miss a class or had general DUI questions. Watch out!. Once in a while the instructors would put u on mute and say they cant hear u and mark u abscent for the session leaving you with a fee and remake to do based on their poor oudated system. The recepcionist answering phones is rude and useless. She wont help at all and give u an attitude like the problem was at ur faults. She does nothing to assist u. Horrible manners and no respect from her. BEWARE THEY DO THIS TO GET MORE MONEY. I have been to alot of classes and theres always a person or more with poor audio an the instructor saying they cant hear you when he does something or have poor audio equipment. Once its ur turn its frustating and they turn it out on u. Look somewhere else to do ur classes. read more

I got my dui about 5 years ago and after looking over my shoulder for five years i finally got pulled over. As being a single parent i really didn't have the money for my dui classes and the money to pay to the dmv for my license back. ADI was so helpful, they worked with my financial situation and i was sooo nervous about being in a group talking about my situation but everyone was very understanding, no one ever judged me and the counselors are very awesome, they are normal people not looking down on you and pointing the finger what so ever, theyve been in our situation before, had dui's and decided they needed to change there drinking in order for a better life. It doesnt mean to stop drinking but to do it responsibly, they give so many good ideas and ive learned so much! Thanks guys for your support!!! read more

yeah that dude "steven" is a joke. ADI has been an awesome experience for me. i got my DUI back in May and ADI has been extremely helpful in analyzing my experience with drinking in my life. they know what its like to get busted and everything surrounding drinking. they are able to relate to you and understand what you are going through. the facilitator, who teaches the educational classes, is awesome. yea he doesnt sugar coat anything, but he breaks it all down for you and gives you the honest truth. if you really take it in and listen to the facilitator, it all makes sense. umm yea, parking is fine. its not cramped. the billing people at ADI are fine and will take care of your payments as long as you keep up with them. bottomline is, as long as you follow your schedule, attend classes punctually, take it seriously......you get through it all easily and quickly. and hopefully become a person of better judgement. don't listen to steven, she needs to check herself. read more

I went to ADI 16 months ago when I received a DUI and I still remember the valuable information I received in the classes. I stopped drinking the day I got my DUI and have been going to AA ever since. ADI was mandatory because of my DUI and I am glad it was because I learned so much. I think clearly and remember the knowledge I got from the classes at ADI first when I think I want to drink and I don't drink. Thanks. I'm not sure where Steven went. It was NOT ADI on Camden Av in San Jose. I have been there before and now. I admit my 1st go round, Andrew was very passionate about his view of drinking and DRIVING. He has a history with his personal life changing events. I don't recall him ever calling anyone an alcoholic. He said we need to take responsibility for our choices. He,of course, has a personal view on the subject. I think he really can't say anything pro- alcohol because his way to stop D.U.I. is to completely abstain. I can live with that. This time I am taking more with me because I think I am ready to listen. The fees are mostly regulated by the D.M.V. and one program can't be on a different rate. As for the billing, I found A.D.I. to be very reasonable with the options that they offer. The comment about the parking is absurd. If he really was a 1st timer, he probably didn't have a valid driver license anyway. There is loads of free parking all around the facility. He must have had a violation of some sort to be referred again. My view of his comments, with my hands on experience, leads me to feel he is minimizing, displacing anger, and refusing to accept that he is the sole person responsible for his situation. Peggy has been a good person to work with. She doesn't pull any punches or pass judgement. The information is offered for us to work. She is always concerned about her clients. I took ADI's three month 1st offender program and even though it satisfies the court requirement, I felt it wasn't really much of a program at all.There really was no cirriculum to follow just a bunch of old videos and people talking about their problems.After completion of the class I went to get my license and found out I needed to get an out of state assesment to clear a hold from another state for some problems I had 14 years ago.ADI said OK we can do it,for another $250. Then their "assesment"was to do their 18 month program! I don't think so! Thanks for nothing!!! read more

This school charges $20 for rescheduled classes. The problem is that they keep no noted record of phone conversations with clients. There was a discrepancy in a class they rescheduled for me. In the end, I am charged with "skipping" my rescheduled class and showing up on the wrong day. There is no email confirmation of the rescheduled date, so it is my word against theirs, and per Melissa, this "never happens, so what do you want me to do about it?" She was rude and would not allow me to speak with her manager. She also interrupted me several times saying, "Get to the point". She told me that confirmation of changes would be too much work. I suggested a compromise in the fee. I also attended one class that was overcrowded. The leader had to miss, so groups were combined. The class was beyond the promised capacity. It was very uncomfortable as I sat next to a man who was odorously intoxicated and had a foot fetish. In the end, I do not get my license until this $20 is paid. She said that many employees are on vacation, so it could be awhile before the matter is looked into. read more

unlike this gentleman steve c. who wrote a negative review about adi and their services, i surprisingly had a very positive experience. i was forced into taking an 18 month multiple offenders course and chose to enroll in adi's program. my counselors ed & peggy were very down to earth and had a genuine and sincere desire to help me prevent receiving a 3rd dui. i was never accused of being an alcoholic nor were my piers, to the contrary we were simply told the obvious, that we were all there because at least during the time we received our dui, we were under the influence, over the legal limit and that if this kind of behavior was a lifestyle for us that there me be some deep routed problems that made us more prone to drinking excessively and that by discovering what these problems may be and dealing with them, increased our chances of preventing this from happening again. in fact, they never told us we had to stop drinking, but rather encouraged us to give abstinence a try in order to address any unknown issues we my have sober minded and with a fresh view on how we conduct lives. even though we were addressed as a group the counselors took a genuine interest in us as individuals with individual problems, never profiling us into a stereo type or lumping us into one category of personality . i never had any issues with billing or customer service, in fact if anything they did everything in there power to make our experience as hassle free as possible. at one point in time i had to take time off from my classes, so i used my common sense and called to explain my dilema and because i called instead of just not showing up to class they were happy to work with me all i ended up having to do was bring back receipts as proof that i was doing what i said i was and that was that, no fee no make-up classes, nada. their only concern was making sure i was able to pass the course and move on with my life. as far as parking is concerned, unless you are driving on a suspended license or have a provisional you dont need to worry it and if you are still driving there is plenty of parking next door just a couple steps away the parking can get a littler filled up due to the fact that the building is occupied by a few different businesses but nothing to complain about. if you have to take the buss there r several convenient stops with in walking distance 3-5 min walk max. all this aside lets be mature and face the facts, you are forced to take these classes because you had/ have a drinking issue and broke the law, you do the crime you do the time and have no right or reason to complain. and if taking these courses werent a little bit of an inconvenience it wouldnt make it a consequence of your unlawful actions and you prob wouldnt learn anything or think twice about drinking and driving again. the fact that adi make it a fun and hassle free experience was a perk. because of ed & peggy and all their help i actually enjoyed my time there and if possible i would totally continue hanging out with the both of them now even though i have already graduated, they were that awesome. this course will only be what you make of it, if you dive in with a positive attitude you'll have a positive experience but if you wine and complain your a victim you'll only have yourself to blame for being miserable during your time there. no matter where you take these classes you need to learn to be completely honest with yourself about your drinking and behavior to get the most out the experience, nobody is exempt from this. i give adi 5 stars and would recommend them to anyone because of everything they did to help me get my life back on track and all that i learned from ed and peggy, thanx guys your the best! read more
