Alma was nice in suggesting some decent size highlights to match my mom, as the previous hair salon had done a rather wacky job giving her some overwhelmingly thick highlights that looked rather tacky. Clearly, Alma has an eye for aesthetic and a kind-heart, as she explains what products and treatment she'll be using on your hair depending on it's "health" state/nature. Alma walks you through the process before anything, like all good hair stylists must. And another good thing, she doesn't force you to buy any other products, aside from the work you've come in for. Comfortable space and fast, friendly service. We'll be coming again.

I asked how much it would cost to have them installed, and I was given a price. When I arrived, however, I was told that the extensions were not considered "bundles" and that I would therefore be charged significantly more for the installation. I asked what she meant by "bundles," because I understood a bundle to mean the amount of hair contained in a package/box. I explained that I had approximately 100 grams of hair. Despite the change in price, I decided to stay and proceed with the appointment. Before starting, I also asked whether the amount of hair I had would be enough for my entire head. I was told that it would be. Once the installation began, it became clear that I did not have enough hair. I was then told that I would need to purchase additional hair and pay an additional installation fee. At that point, the total cost was going beyond my budget, so I decided that I could no longer continue with the service. Since the service was not completed, I was very surprised to be told that I would still have to pay a $175 cancellation fee. I understand that stylists need to be compensated for their time, but in my situation, I feel the experience was unfair because the original quote had changed after I arrived, I was initially told that I had enough hair, and then I was informed that I needed to spend significantly more money to complete the service. I also felt uncomfortable because pictures were taken of me without my permission. I didn't say anything at the time because I was already frustrated and simply wanted the focus to remain on my hair, but afterward I realized how uncomfortable that made me feel. To make matters worse, the tape extensions that had already been installed were very visible around the crown of my head, which I was not happy with at all. I understand that pricing can depend on the amount of hair and the work involved, and I respect that hairstylists deserve to be paid fairly for their work. However, I believe these details should have been clearly explained before the appointment, especially since I specifically called beforehand to discuss my hair and the expected cost. Overall, I left feeling very disappointed and frustrated with the experience. I regret not walking away when the price changed upon arrival, and unfortunately, this is not a salon I will be returning to.

Started off the consultation explaining my hair had been bleached once before and I went to a salon to dye it black. **Back story I did the bleach in October dyed it black in November and have been letting it fade out since then.** I explained all of this to JESSICA THE OWNER OF THE SALON and she assured me she would be able to do a balayage and take me to blonde. SO I TRUSTED EXACTLY WHAT SHE TOLD ME SHE WAS GOING TO DO. She started sectioning and applying bleach on my hair at 2:30 and past 4 pm I have pictures of my hair still covered in bleach sitting in the chair as she added more heat to my hair!! SHE LEFT THE BLEACH ON FOR 2 hours!! This is where my hair started to fall out. I began taking pictures and panicking. I started taking pictures of my hair down the drain in the sink and began HOPING and PRAYING my hair wasn't damaged. Before taking me to the chair she told me "I'm going to need to start treatment on my hair immediately" and TRIED to promote her promo code to use. (I'm a content creator) and then told me "when I shower don't pull at my hair...." Now she's taking me to the chair SHE TOLD ME "don't look in the mirror because I don't want you looking at the color yet because it's not the color yet." HIDING MY HAIR HAD COMPLETELY BROKEN OFF!!! I looked down at the ground to CLUMPS of my hair GUMMY on the floor and as she started cutting and brushing my hair just melting in her hands and all over me. At this point I needed to see it and she was trying to blow it out but my 24 inch hair had been melted away to my shoulders. I CRIED "WHERE DID MY HAIR GO?" To her reply " what do you mean I didn't cut a lot off." I told her to stop working on my hair and she told me no payment for the damage and breakage she caused to my hair. I went home devastated and my hair is falling out and breaking. I HAD BEEN GROWING MY HAIR OUT FOR 3 years!! And all of the progress I had been having with my hair completely gone. My hair is unevenly all around my head... my ENTIRE HEAD is unevenly patchy and EVERY PART SHE BLEACHED IS GONE!!! My hair isn't even blond it's patchy brown!! The damage to my hair is so extreme that I'm going to be reaching out to the California board of barbering and cosmetology and Better business bureau. I WILL BE PRESSING CHARGES!
