My backyard patio was already landscaped, but it had a small koi fish pond that I was trying to get rid of. I didn't want the fish, it was creating mold/attracting mosquitos to the water, and the pumps took up a lot of space. So I wanted to remove it completely while still maintaining the overall landscaping to look continuous without the pond. Additionally, I wanted my fence to be reinforced and repainted. What sounds and looks like a relatively simple task was actually quite hard. They had to demo the concrete while saving the pieces so they could re-use it later. The floor tiles had to be matched as close as possible. Ultimately, his team worked really hard over 3 days and did a great job. It would never be perfect, but they did a great job maintaining the look so that it wouldn't be noticeable unless you were paying attention. Good experience!

Life Turf Landscaping replaced my grass with artificial turf a few years ago. At the time, they…read moretold me I should turn off the irrigation on that side of the yard, but they never clearly explained why. A few years later, I started noticing sunken areas in the turf that have now become a safety hazard because of how deep the holes are. Based on what has happened, it appears that irrigation pipes may have been punctured during the turf installation. Every time the irrigation was turned on, water seemed to wash out part of the base underneath the turf, creating large holes and unstable areas. They came out once and repaired the issue, but a few months later the holes came back. Unfortunately, no one clearly explained why this was happening or offered a permanent solution. I have tried multiple times to get them to come back and address the problem, especially since I believe this should fall under the warranty. I reached out by phone, email, and text, and they have not responded. I even offered to pay them to fix it, but still received no response. Very disappointing experience. The original installation has led to ongoing issues, and the lack of communication and follow-up has been extremely frustrating.

We had QGL re-do our front yard. Everything was updated: old concrete driveway and abrasive patio…read morepavers were torn out and replace with new pavers (driveway and patio). The lawn, decorative plants, sprinklers, and drainage were all replaced. We are extremely happy with the outcome. The staff QGL sent was professional and communicative. Chris was our project manager and on site we mostly worked with Paco and a small crew of 2-3 people depending on the day. The project took about 7 weeks. We got 5 bids and Chris' team came in mid-range. At the time of collecting bids, it seemed a fair price for the work. Now that the project is done I'd say it was an excellent value and the best price for the quality of work we got. We especially appreciated Chris' input on the design and plant selection. We had a design from a landscaper, but made a few changes to the shape of the driveway, a small rock wall, and adding a tree. All of Chris' suggestions were fantastic- expanding the driveway line, using Napa basalt, and adding a Crepe Myrtle. Like any project there were a few hiccups,(change to paver pattern near edge, electrical line accidentally cut when tearing up old driveway) but everything was fixed quickly and professionally. The team also phased how the pavers were laid so that we always had a clear and paved walkway to either our door or garage. Tools were put away at the end of the workday and areas swept- this was especially helpful given that we have two young children. We've had at least 5 sets of neighbors tell us how great the front yard looks now. We've done a lot of major upgrades to our house in the 6 years we've lived here (new roof, exterior paint, pool resurfacing, solar install, interior flooring & paint), but this has definitely been the best overall experience and outcome. The team at TLC removed an old large deck and pergola, and replaced with sod, irrigation, and a large pad and walkway of decomposed granite. The team even reused our old mulch to fill in spots I opted to not landscape at this time, and left our yard looking pristine.
