Terrible terrible over-fluffed overpriced restaurant. I recently went here with my family- large group of 10 people. We were told that this was a modern twist on traditional Polish food-exciting ! In the end I was embarrassed to bring my guests here.
Service: terrible waiter with minima skills -- spilled water throughout the table-- didn't blink an eye, or care to clean it up.
If you asked for water-- forget it. You have to pour it yourself-- which was placed on another separate table away from the dinning table -- probably placed there since the waiter should have poured it and not guests.
Whenever there were any issues with the order or food, he was condescending, speaking g to us as if it is our fault that the food wasn't cooked the way we wanted, and didn't know how food should be prepared.
Food: The food is completely over-fluffed, over done-- trying WAY too hard to put a modern spin on it. I have been to many high end restaurants, including Michelin star where they put a modern twist on traditional food and have never had such weird and unappetizing combinations.
My husband ordered the herring tartar-- when it arrived you had no idea what it was. It was ground fish, brown? (unsure why), with nuts, chocolate?(yes chocolate with fish) and ginger? I'm sure there was other stuff in there but thats all I could figure out in this mess on the plate. It looked completely unappetizing (excuse me, but feces on a plate). The taste was beyond disgusting-too many flavors that don't go together.
I ordered the shrimp appetizer. Immediately when it came the entire side of the table couldn't get over the overwhelming smell of old seafood- the main rule of fresh seafood is that it shouldn't smell like the ocean, if it does its old. Not only was the smell overwhelming, they were raw in the middle. It was also obvious they were 'cooked' on top of other meat-- because you could taste beef when eating it? When the waiter asked about the food, I informed him of the smell and were undercooked - showing him they were raw inside. His response,in a demanding and condescending way was that is how shrimp is meant to be cooked and that I am wrong. 30 minutes later, asks if i want them recooked---why would i want to eat this 30 minutes later when everyone is finished? I have eaten shrimp all over the world and NEVER EVER have I had them cooked- or actually not cooked like this. This was more of a health hazard than anything else. But of course was charged for the meal even though i only took a bite out of it.
My husband ordered the filet mignon, never asked how he would like it cooked, and of course was overdone and tasteless.
Only plus was that the wine was pretty good.
I have never been to a restaurant that is so pompous and filled with air as this one. Not to mention the ridiculous prices for terrible food.
The owner should focus more on her food/chefs, rather than her TV show and books.
I would never suggest ANYONE to come here unless they want to over pay for subpar, under cooked food accompanied with terrible service.
There are much better restaurants in Warszawa- don't waste your time or money here. read more
