I am so glad they have a badminton gym here in Arizona. It is a small facility with only 4 courts. Usually 1 of the courts is taken for private lessons. So sometimes there was only 3 courts or 2 courts. Small gym but very friendly people. People are nice and they will play with you. You play 1 game and 4 will rotate off and 4 will rotate on. After you are done, you put your rackets on the wall and que yourself back in again. People are very friendly at this gym and there is air conditioning so that is nice when is it hot. Admission is $20 per adult. Overall, I had fun at the Arizona Center and will be back here whenever I am in town. I am glad they have a badminton place in Arizona.

I play in the AZ Fire League in Tempe. It's a good mix of competitive attitude (the league winner gets to go to Vegas!) and a whole heck of a lot of fun. However, they are pricier than other kickball organizations I have played in around Phoenix for less games each season and their end-of-season parties that don't cover as much food, beer, etc. (which those pricey dues should be covering). This is probably because WAKA is a national organization that actually employs people, and we are basically paying for their salaries by playing kickball. Their motto "Best Parties. Best Games. Best Friends." basically sums it up, but they could give you a little more bang for your buck.

All of our feet hurt from walking around on the really hard concrete. I guess I'd recommend you wear water shoes if you have them. We used a Get Out Pass and the whole process was seamless. It's worth getting because just a trip to Sunsplash is pretty much the same price as a Get Out Pass and you get so much out of it. I don't know if I'd go again because the cost is pretty high.

Every time I turned around they were chatting with their friends or screwing around instead of doing literally anything of value. I can't believe your business is turning a profit. While each location differs in offerings and size, each location also offers something unique to the ASU community. While I've been in all locations, I often go to events most often at the Tempe Campus (which is what I was doing last week though the campus I go to work out at or for work in general is the West Valley Campus. Regardless of campus, all of the SDFC locations have well-trained student staff and professional staff who care about fitness and helping others be Well Devils. The SDFC fitness training options include group wellness, personal training, swim lessons, lifeguard training, safety education, and adaptive recreation. Sports programs include sports clubs and intramural sports. Note that some of these options and programs may have extra costs associated with them. The Tempe SDFC amenities include the Bike Co-Op, Sun Devil Kids Camp, Shake Smart, Equipment Rental, and Locker Rental. It has been many years since I have taken part in personal training at the SDFC, though I have a faculty/staff membership currently and have used this location (and the Downtown and West Valley Campus locations) for working out and using the treadmills, bikes, walking, and using the weight machines. All ASU in-person students pay a fee that includes membership to the SDFC. Non-fee paying students can get a SDFC membership for $100 per semester or $25 per month. Faculty and staff can pay $110 per semester for membership and pay through payroll deduction. ASU affiliates (alumni, ASU contractors, and students attending other colleges or universities) can pay $130 per semester for membership. SDFC members can sponsor someone else for $10 per visit or $45 for five visits through guest passes. I also find myself at different events, most often at the Tempe SDFC. This past week was the annual Vendor Fair, which ASU staff who work most closely with vendors (food and products) and hotels will come to the SDFC and attend a fair in one of the gyms. I have been to conference events, department team-building days, student organization events, and much more on all four campuses. Compared to many other universities, all four of the SDFC locations are state of the art and really set up students to be healthy. I certainly recommend SDFC membership to all ASU students, staff, faculty, and alumni!

Since we did the all-day pass for the littles, the two older kids and husband and me were include. All-in-all, it was $76 for admissions and 6 pairs of socks. We hung out for a few hours, went home for dinner, and then came back for a couple hours. After spending the entire day, we decided to convert to a monthly membership. The facility was so clean in the playgrounds, eating area, and bathrooms. The staff were pleasant and patient. The play areas were so much fun and large enough for adults to follow around the kids. My husband and I had a blast playing with the kids and were able to navigate the playground fully. With summer coming, we will be spending a lot of time here and will recommend to any others.

Alee Athletics, run by Alex Lee (Team USA), Michelle and several other phenomenal coaches. They are all very passionate about weightlifting, and helping anyone who wants to learn. The gym atmosphere makes you want to train hard and push yourself. The team treats you just like family. I've trained at both their previous location, and their new location, and nothing has changed but the address. Additionally, the new coaches Kory and Jimmy make a great addition to the team. They are the nicest and most humble guys and they are always smiling and wanting to help. I've veen training with Alex and Michelle since the team trained out of a CrossFit gym. You will not find better coaching in Arizona. The bars are all maintained well and there are always enough discs to go around. I would strongly recommend this gym if you are looking to improve yourself. There is limited room so the people there all want to be there and are super friendly. read more

Damon is so good at the golf swing and has shown us ways to improve stability, mobility and strength. His knowledge goes way past the golf swing and he has helped me with my comeback from a total hip replacement as well as ways to alleviate pain in my lower back. We all want more length when we hit the ball and with one drill showing me how to make a better hip turn, I gained one club length in distance and I improved my accuracy. Having turned 60, it's easy to lose flexibility leading to a loss in distance. However, in my case I have gained distance and I expect to gain more. My trainer Austin is excellent to work with and is helping me achieve my goals. I've lost almost 15 lbs in 5 months and my body composition has dramatically changed. His workouts are effective and challenging. He pushes me on the weight but I need that push. Austin helps me understand the "why" behind the exercise which I appreciate. I have prior injuries but have had zero issue with inflammation or pain which speaks very highly of his expertise. Another plus is that he is a boxer so I added boxing to my sessions for cardio. Nikki pushes me just hard enough and combines bodyweight work with weights, bands, stretching, cardio and so much more. I find the key to these workouts is continuing to "surprise" my muscles and work them in different ways and Nikki does just that in each and every session. My husband joins me some of the time, so we often commiserate with how sore we are from our workouts for several days following!
