The outdoor tables get busy with the locals and on any afternoon you can find older Brazilians sharing a few Originals (my favorite beer). Today, I sat indoors (no A/C) and ordered the filet de frango completo (grilled chicken breast topped with an overcooked fried egg, a side of white rice, a small pot of pinto beans, and a "salad" of sliced white onions and tomato). This is my go-to meal at local lanchonettes and while the version at Amazonia was somewhat underwhleming, it still hit the spot and came in at only R$29 (with that bottle of Original). Here, you can also score fresh juices, but note that the coconut water comes out of a tetra-pack carton, not a fresh freaking coconut. These things aside, it's a well-located spot for a casual table outdoors and a bottle of beer. Those looking for more of a beer-drinking scene (with expats) should walk to the next block and hit the green bar (walls are all green) with tables outside.

The menu is about the same as what they offer in the USA. So you can get ribs, burgers, wings, etc. I did not want a full meal so I ordered the nachos. I don't know how TGI Fridays does nachos in the USA, but these were tortilla chips arranged on a plate with beans, cheese and a jalapeño slice, and garnished with a pile of lettuce, pico and sour cream in the middle. They were OK, though I've had better. The drinks were great. They offer the usual soft drinks, mocktails, and a full bar. Service was excellent, fast, and friendly. I would return, but would probably order something else to eat.

Had it been left up to me, I might have had dinner there as well. The food is just AMAZING! I ordered the steak meal which comes in a wooden heated place. The steak is so delicious but its a big serving (4 of us and still left some!), the mandioca fries (aka yuca fries) are EVEN MORE DELICIOUS! Their bread is sooo good- i felt like a crack addict every time i asked for one. On another occasion, i got my own meal (grilled chicken/ rice/ mandioca fries) and it was another HIT! I dont know what it is- the meat is cooked to perfection, the mandioca fries are too good to put down! If you want good food, GO THERE!
