I stopped in here to pick up some local Ohio made whiskey. Place is nicely set up with a nice selection of wines, beers, and other types of drinks. When I first walked in, it did not remind me of a liquor store. It reminded me more of a high end jewelry store or something similiar. Staff is very friendly. Plenty of parking out front. Only complaint I had is more of a state regulation. In Ohio, alcohol above a certain percentage, I forget where the cutoff is, must be paid for in cash. If you do not carry to much cash on you, it may involve a stop at an ATM. read more

God forbid you ask the old man how much a bottle is before you buy it without him pressuring you to make up your mind. I asked how much a 20 year whiskey was knowing it was pricey so I wanted to make a educated purchase. After asking one question and stalling for approx 10 seconds he said "honey you need to make up your mind" what the heck? There wasn't anyone behind me. I've spent so much money here. Not anymore. My goto place for craft beer and craft beer tastings. Every week on Thursday and Friday at 6p they open up their tasting room to a different theme of beer. Sometimes it's bourbon barrel aged, sometimes it is IPA's or hefenweizens, sometimes it's just new beers to the store. Whatever the theme it is always a good time and a nice way to learn about craft beer. One of the managers there, Kyle, tries to learn everyone's name who frequents the place. It's really nice when you walk into a store to hear, "Hey Jeremy, how are you doing?" Definitely makes me want to shop here. He also knows his beers really well and is pretty much the only guy I'll talk to in the place as I've learned to trust his ratings and ideas. He learns what you likes and makes dead on recommendations. The only reason I'm docking them a star is because they don't save the good stuff for their regulars or frequent customers. You can buy all of your beer here, or spend thousands having a party, come in twice a week and buy just a six pack but that won't get you any special treatment when it comes to rare hard to get beers like KBS (Kentucky Breakfast Stout). When it comes to that stuff it's first come first served vs some other beer stores which will hold the good stuff back for the people who come in often. read more

This must and has to be one of the best spirit stores out here in Columbus Ohio, wow just wow loved everything about it the staff the lighting the cleanliness the attention to detail and the vibe! Overall great experience one of the staff there witch i hate my self for not asking his name was very friendly visited my hometown back in California very helpful and knowledgeable! Visited the pops in Ohio in December and asked him to find me a nice craft beer selection so I could haul beer back to Phoenix from the suburbs of Cbus. Low and behold, here is this spot in Powell! Honestly a great selection of beer for a little shop and they also were offering wine tastings that day so my dad enjoyed himself a few nice Cab samples while I scoured the shelves for non-Phoenix Distro bottles. Came away with some great stuff, I'm really happy we stopped in here. The staff was friendly and I'll be back the next time I'm visiting the family up there! read more

This store was such a discovery! Attractive and classy interior, courteous and helpful staff, and oh! the selection! I went there for my cocktail needs and was simply blown away. They carry just about everything! Looking to mix your Vesper with Cocchi Americano instead of Lillet Blanc? They have both. Prefer your Manhattan with Carpano Antica or your Martini with Noilly Prat instead of always the same old Martini & Rossi vermouths? They've got you covered. Need Cassis for a Kir or a Diablo? How about Amaro Nonino for that special cocktail you had in Beverly Hills and of which the bartender slipped you the recipe, earning a generous tip? Check and check. I even added a lovely German Riesling (the famous Graacher Himmelreich from the banks of the Mosel river), although at probably thrice what it would have cost me back home in Germany, but that's par for the course for German wines in this country. What a great place. Their selection of beer and wine is fantastic. I'm pretty sure the do a bunch of different tasting events, because the place was packed with people for some event the last time I was in there. They also have a great selection of home brew stuff too. The only reason I only give them 4 stars is because you can't charge liquor there. You can for everything else just not booze. However I'd rather pay cash with a local business owner vs a huge company with no interest in our neighborhood . read more
