This has to be one of the better cider mills in SE Michigan! Tons of parking, pumpkins, mums, and…read moreactivities for the kids. When you enter the barn, you will find a cider section where they offer a cup of hot cider, cider slush, cider slush with ice cream, pumpkin spice cappuccino, and coffee. You will have to pay as soon as you get your drinks and then head over to the donuts, located on the other side of the barn. Even though the barn looks big from the outside, you can't get lost. Just follow the honey, treats, breads, apples, cider to the donuts, then the cashier. Love that they offer donuts with cinnamon sugar or plain. Honestly, you really can't go wrong with either one. The donuts are best eaten, as soon as you get em. They are perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy and soft on the inside. The staff are always so welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend checking this place out, especially if you have kids.

It was recommended to get the Cider Slushy and, pretty amazing, even on a chilly day. The orchards were closed for the day, so we were not able to walk through and view those which was a bit disappointing, and petting zoo, or what not was not something I was willing to spend $20 a person on. It does hit the spot though for a nice snack and relaxation.

There is nothing fancy about Brookwood. This is just a really great farm along a quiet country road that has belonged to the same family for over a century. Come here if you are looking for a peaceful day spent picking fruit or for a short stop to buy delicious donuts, apples, and cider. An oversized Homer Simpson doll welcomes you as you enter the store. A very kind young woman was working there the day I visited and she told me that the orchards were opened. Other than the orchards there is only the small store. Again, nothing fancy, but what matters is the quality of the products which I thought was excellent. There isn't hot apple cider but there is cold apple cider in the fridge and a slushie machine where you can fill your own slushie cup for $2. The cup provided was twice as large as the slushie I bought at Franklin Cider Mill for a whopping $4. I could tell that there are no preservatives added to Brookwood's cider. The cider was excellent and perhaps some of the best I have tasted, and I've been to a lot of cider mills this season. I will definitely return to Brookwood and continue to support this family business.
