They make it impossible to report an issue with a drive up order. No response when I attempt to get a refund for things that were missing.

We were eating lunch at Bravo Burrito and 2 facebook messages from family come in asking us to get dish soap and bagel seasoning. Dollar General came to mind, but I remembered Trader Joe's has bagel seasoning. I knew Aldi and Trader Joe's are owned by same holding company. I googled and we were 1.8 miles away. Spouse is bitching about traffic and picking up items. I run in and there are 3 varieties of bagel seasoning: plain, Jalapeño and Asiago cheese. She chose plain. The cost was cheap at $1.95. The dish soap was nearby at an end cap. I knew they probably weren't gonna pay me so I picked generic Tandil brand for $1.69 over Dawn for $4.95. The store is huge but I didn't have much time to browse. I had my own plastic bag in my jacket from dog walking. The checkouts were around 8 or so and had a huge long bagging table. It's says they are open at 8:30. They are not open at 8:30 not until 9:00 ... myself and another customer had already got our carts.. someone started yelling that they are not open until 9:00... The other customer was trying to get her quarter back from the carts... she couldn't get it to come out... The kid told me to get out I was standing in the doorway waiting so I could get my money back from the cart... very rude people... Another guy finally help the lady with getting her quarter back... He plug in the cable... She never did get her quarter back because it wouldn't come out... Oh Aldi, how I love thee. Seriously Aldi has the best deals on everything you could need from fruits and veggies to snacks, yogurt, eggs, cheese, hummus. The list is endless! Everything is very good quality too and they always have great sales. The staff is super friendly and always willing to help you. I love that they get some name brand items in that you can buy to check out. I also think it's great that they charge for plastic bags and carts. Every store should make you pay for your bags in an effort to get people to bring their own reusable bags or use a card oars box you find in the store. It also encourages people to put their card back once they are done so you don't have to worry about it being left in the parking lot and crashing into your car! Overall, I love Aldi and shopping here is great. Sure they don't have every single thing you might need here but they certainly have most things for a great price! read more

I go to Aldi nearly every weekend to get the freshest produce, meat, and ingredients. My mom loves to cook and this is the one grocery store that we can rely on to give us the best products for low prices. I enjoy shopping here because they have a wide selection of goods and they identify "products of the week" which highlight different fruits/vegetables every single week that are hot deals. They have extremely quick service at checkout. At times, some of their cashiers go a little too fast and aren't as careful with putting the products gently down into the cart. This is the one critique I would have of Aldi, but it depends on who's working. It is hands down the best grocery store in town. Note: The shopping carts here require you to put a quarter into the slot to acquire the cart. If you aren't familiar with this system or not a fan of it, it's best to bring your own shopping bags or use the cardboard cartons in the store that are left over from carrying products. They have plenty available for use if you need them! read more

Some years back my spouse tried Aldi and didn't like it, back when they only took cash. Encouraged to give it a better try, she fell in love with the place. Many items don't say organic, but the ingredients show it to be organic. Further, if GMO is an issue for you (it is for me), check the labels and if it's made in the EU (being a German company, many items are of EU origin) then rest assured it is GMO free--the EU has government that gives a rip I guess. The organic produce section is often lacking, but I just get in the habit of picking up what's on hand. Look for the seasonal items, many of things come and go seasonally. You will not spend a lot of time searching 300 cereals like a standard supermarket. I find that a plus. The place is small and it's easy to get in and out quickly. A note about the great prices : the place is set up for quick turn over and the help, while helpful if asked, are not there to dilly dally or chat with you. Bar codes are on almost all sides of packages so the cashiers go very quickly. It's not that they are unfriendly, they have a job to do and it is to get you checked out fast. The cart rental means they don't have help rounding up carts in the parking lot--all this lowers costs and you pay less. Get in the habit of bringing your own bag, or pay for one at check out. It's an adaptation of markets in Europe and they don't hand out unnecessary plastic bags--good on them in my opinion. The plastic bag thing is a trend, and we're a bit behind on embracing the shift. The place is clean, the values good and any time there has been an issue with a product, they handle it quickly and gracefully. Count me a fan. read more

I love ALIDI. Yes you have to pay to "rent" your cart and bring (or buy) bags but the prices are lower and the store isn't huge making you buy a bunch of crap you don't need. I've been meal planning and budgeting for a year now and ALDI has helped me keep groceries affordable for my family. read more

What I like about Aldi: -You can get in and out of this store in 10 minutes if you want to, with an armload of groceries. It's small. You don't have to debate over what brand to purchase. -The prices. Whether it's milk, eggs, fresh produce, etc. you generally cannot find prices this low on so many common things anywhere else in town. -Specialty items. Aldi often has European chocolates, cheeses, meats, and other items that are hard to find elsewhere, and they're at affordable prices. - Fast cashiers. I'm not kidding. They'll have your grocery items scanned and sitting in a cart before you have your credit card out. Some things to be aware of, if you've never shopped there before: - In the past, Aldi only accepted cash or debit cards. They now accept credit cards. - Have a quarter handy, as you'll need it for a cart. You get the quarter back when you return the cart. It's the stores way of keeping the carts from wandering off and being left in the parking lot. - Either bring your own bags, or be prepared to purchase bags as they aren't offered for free. Another thought, is that there are commonly empty boxes in the store. You can grab a box and fill it. - I will say that once in a while we've gotten bad product (e.g.: avocadoes that went bad quickly, prunes that molded, and other produce that went bad right away). Aldi has an amazing return policy. You can bring the item back with your receipt and they will not only give you your money back, but also replace the item. I've had to do this about 3-4 times, and they're very good about honoring the policy. - Some of the employees don't seem all that happy. Perhaps it isn't a great place to work... I don't know, but they could use some training on smiling and being friendly and personable to customers. - Because of the prices, this place is busy. Expect that there may be a line, but also expect that it will go quickly. They've recently expanded and added additional lanes/cashiers. - You can't find everything here. They don't sell absolutely everything that you'll find in a grocery store. Some items are only available seasonally. Just be aware that you may have to go elsewhere for an occasional item. read more

Aldi's is like any other store. Do your homework before going. Some are good deals and some aren't. Meat looks really good. Bread prices are also good, as are other things Shopping cart: You put a quarter in when you take it and when you put it back in the cart housing, you get to take the quarter back. So there really is NO Charge, but bring a quarter with you. As far as bags go, you can grab empty boxes from the box cart (favor to them really). Carts are usually around somewhere around the store. I have been a fan since they opened. Well-organized groceries, pet and household items. Wonderful produce selection at great prices. Some items to compare at other groceries would be romaine hearts, green peppers, baby carrots, and hydroponic cukes, pork roasts, large shrimp, kitty litter. All are high quality and up to twice the price elsewhere. The store is busy, staff are busy but friendly and helpful. I don't know how they keep the place neat and stocked with so much activity. ALDI is a German company so treat yourself to International specialty items such as Bavarian chocolates, Italian pastas, Indian sauces, Asian rice and noodle dishes, as well as German potato soup, spatzel, and cakes. read more

Not a fan. I read an article that ALDI had a plentiful organic section and that by 2018 all stores would be 100% organic and non-GMO. All I could find was produce that was organic. Wal-Mart for gosh sakes has more organic options than ALDI. I put my few items back and walked out, leaving super disappointed. What's up with renting the carts anyway? Annoying. read more

Not the best. Cashiers are rude, I actually can't remember ever getting a pleasant cashier. Prices are good, not everything an average grocery store would carry but decent selection. My wife and I always go here before we hit SAMs club. This is by far the cheapest grocery shopping in town. Everything is off brands but tastes the same as name brands. Produce was fresh and ripe. Aldi is a good place to get German chocolate and European products. Their prices are by many products marked down under 5 dollars. Not brand names, but this doesnt matter so much. A small store, which can get fast full. What I dont like is their stringent shopping card policy. Unless you deposit 25 cent in a slot by the handle, you cant get one. I do understand that is to keep track of it. But I dont care that you cant get a cart inside the store to take out, if you come without one in. read more

Aldi is a German food chain that is used extensively in Europe under different names but the same logo (e.g. Hoffer in Austria, Aldi in Germany, etc...). I very much enjoy shopping at Aldi but mostly due to their significantly lower $$$ compared to other stores in St. Cloud. However, I am not only disappointed but quite angry that they do NOT carry enough authentic German food, Stores are very small, selection is sparse and the worse part is "collection of the worse breads" on the planet. Most breads they sell are not much different from Walmart Shopko, Shop-Wise, etc... bottom line, "TERRIBLE SELECTION". the worse part, "ALL BREADS CONTAIN TONS OF SUGAR"... Even the few "organic" breads have anywhere from "3-6 grams of sugar"... Since the US has a huge number of diabetics...(more than 100 million people in the US are diabetics...source CDC). It would be very prudent from Aldi management to offer responsible and very low sugar products that many diabetics would really like. Try to be the solution and not part of the problem. That applies across all products. Bottom line, you most certainly not representative of Aldi in Europe. You can do better and much success, please make a small adjustment and offer low sugar (1% or less) breads and many other products. That will not stop me from shopping at Aldi and "so called "bakeries" (e.g. Panera) in this town are even worse. Import great German products including bread from German or Austria! Amazing prices on the food, very friendly staff, and quick check outs. I absolutely LOVE this store. Some items are "while supplies last" but the Aldi brands are great and definitely comparable to what you can buy in other supermarkets, and in most cases just as good as the expensive name brand foods. I now do the majority of my grocery shopping here and can usually buy groceries for 3-4 weeks and only spend around $100 read more

Yesterday, March 10th the power went out about 10 minutes after getting into the store. I was so impressed with how ALL of the staff handled the situation. It was like they had had a "power out"drill!" Can you tell I am a school teacher? They took care of communicating the situation to the customers, answered the questions we had, made us feel comfortable in waiting around if we would like, found out how long it was going to take and because of that told us they would be closing just leave our carts and walk out; they would take care of putting everything back. When some of us offered to help they just reminded us to leave the freezer and refrigerated things in the cart in a very polite manner. I was so impressed....I did not see a clerk that looked over 30 and it was so under control. The management should be very proud of this group that was working on Sunday afternoon. This has nothing to do with yesterday afternoon but the only thing I would like to see is you purchasing the building to the west of you and making your store bigger so you could carry some of the things you do not carry now. We drive 30 miles from Paynesville just to shop here. The prices are affordable especially on produce and dairy products. The store can get full depending on the time of day but checkouts are fast. We bought the reusable bags from Aldis as they don't provide bags (or boxes from the store if we forget the bags). It's always amazing how full our cart is for half the money we would spend at other stores. Great shopping experience. read more

Cheap food and cheap service. Don't go here near closing time 8pm. The employees will push you out of the way with the broom. They throw your food in the cart and have minimal customer service but if your looking for cheap food/products and can handle being treated just as that, it's ok. read more

This is where we shop. The prices are the best and checkouts are fast. There seem to be some misunderstandings in the reviews. Yes, it takes a quarter to get a cart. You get your quarter back when you return it or someone will give you a quarter for it before you get it back to the corral. I'm making a blanket statement here but my guess is the ones who complain about returning the cart are the same lazy ones who leave then wherever they happen to be and we have to move them before we can park. Products are not "Off Brand" they're Aldi store brand, many times made by the name brand manufacturers or processors with an Aldi brand label. The quality is second to none. In most cases I seriously doubt you can tell the difference because I don't think there is one. They have a double guarantee on almost everything, you don't like it or it's defective they replace it AND give you your money back. You're not going to get that everywhere. read more
