I was amazed at the never ending rows of apple trees - this place is huge! They do charge to go pick the apples, but it's only $5 and that gets you access to the whole farm which includes: you-pick apples, corn maze, pumpkin patch, kids play area, wagon rides, and more! If you are not up for that, there are pre-picked apples in the market for sale and you don't have to pay the entrance fee. I also didn't do any of the kid's play things or ride the wagon and I found the $5 fee absolutely worth it. I would pay that just to walk the premises and take it all in! The whole place is beautiful. Plus, for however many people are in your group, you get that many pounds of apples free (my husband and I got 2 free pounds). There's just nothing like a fresh picked apple straight from the tree! Even the most expensive apples at the grocery store do not compare to the flavor and the experience at Pome on The Range! It was fun for the little ones and adults alike. the one sad moment was when we found out that their cider press was broken, so we couldn't get apple cider slushies :( We tried the apple cider donuts, and I'd say they were just okay. came in a plastic package similar to what you buy at the grocery store, so it didn't seem like they were fresh and homemade. We ended up buying some pumpkins, and they were a reasonable price per pound. the downside is that Gary's berries is it out kind of in the middle of nowhere, but it is worth the drive especially if you can get some discounted tickets. They're open through late in the evening, and you can pay extra to reserve a personal bonfire with s'more making and hotdog accoutrement.

1 STAR -- Completely Unacceptable Experience, Harassment, and Intimidation at Gary's Farm Fest…read more My friends and I visited Gary's Farm Fest the night before my boyfriend's birthday, expecting to have a fun outing together. Instead, within 10 minutes of arriving, we experienced an absolutely unacceptable situation involving a group of four teenage-to-young-adult males who repeatedly targeted and intimidated us. While going through a maze, the group asked whether we had any weed and told us to hide it if we did. About five minutes later, we found a small purple container resembling a THC or vape pen lying on the ground and reported it so it could be addressed. As soon as we exited the maze, the same group began aggressively staring at us, and we overheard them say, "Let's follow them." We confronted them directly and made it clear that we had nothing to hide and were willing to cooperate fully. One of them claimed the police would need to speak with us. When officers arrived, we overheard the group insisting it had to be us because of how quickly we found the item. We explained everything to the lieutenant, reiterated our willingness to cooperate, and were ultimately told we were free to go. The repeated harassment, intimidation, and apparent targeting of our group were completely unacceptable. We were followed, aggressively stared at, and made to feel like criminals over an item we found on the ground and reported. The group continued staring at us even as we were leaving. No paying customer should have to deal with this kind of treatment simply for visiting a pumpkin patch. This happened the night before my boyfriend's birthday, when we were just trying to enjoy time together with friends. Instead, our visit was ruined by an incredibly stressful and upsetting experience. Management needs to take these concerns seriously. To make matters worse, the prices advertised online were inaccurate, and the option to pay online was inoperable. Between the pricing issues and this disturbing experience, the entire visit was a waste of our time and money. Gary's Farm Fest has permanently lost our business, along with the business of others we have told about this incident. We will not be returning, and I would not recommend this place based on our experience. A business that charges people to visit should care about how its customers are treated. This entire situation was unacceptable from beginning to end.

There can be 15-20 people standing in line and you still aren't going to wait more than 10 minutes. There is nothing like these checkers! Lighting fast. In fact, I've learned to start unloading my cart as soon as I can, otherwise they'll be waiting on me to get money out. Their rule is 5+ people standing in line (not including the one being checked out) and they will call up another checker. A+ for customer service. If it's your first visit to an Aldi's Grocery, be prepared to used the pin part of your bank card or have cash ready - they don't accept checks or credit. Or coupons. Believe me, they pass the savings onto us, the shoppers - so it's worth it.
