Located off the beaten path on River Road and set back from the oaks, is a true old school treasure to be discovered if you haven't been there already. With consistent hours, they're usually open whenever we pass by which is key if you're going to shop local. Our last visit focused on shopping for collard greens (which are grown right there), watermelon, yellow squash, plums and some spicy pickle spears which punch a kick of heat. Inside is well organized, clean, and prices are well labeled - so you plan your purchases accordingly. Throughout the year they have a changing variety of produce grown locally and some that is brought in to make it a decent spot to get more than just a thing or two. It's crazy people are such whiners and give some of these places terrible reviews, they are farms for goodness sakes, what are you expecting to where high heels and a dress, or dress pants. Just dress accordingly or go to the supermarket. Although Dempsey rightfully so hasn't received any bad reviews, some farms have and comments are just dumb, silly and downright rude!!! Some people are just impossible to please. That's why I always read reviews thoroughly because you need to take them sometimes with a grain of salt.
