The first thing my husband did was ask about the peaches. Of course that's the reason he went there. My search was for the peach preserves like my great grandmother made. I didn't stop there, I saw many condiments, salad dressings, old fashion candies. They also have a dessert eatery inside. Customer service was very insightful. Because we didn't go for the activities or petting of the animals, I can't write much about that. Overall, on my next visit I will try the famous MiMi's pound cake which they rave about. Also, I want the blueberry donuts which they only have on the weekends. Doggonit, I went to early in the middle of the week. My husband is really enjoying his peaches. A fun fall date!…read more Southern Belle Farm, located in McDonough, provides hours of wholesome fun and free parking. My wife and I arrived on a warm October day to enjoy the pumpkin patch and U-pick flowers. We arrived in the afternoon, but there was plenty of selection and nothing was "picked over." I paid $16 for a quart sized plastic vase for my U-pick flowers. They sell gallon sized buckets as well. Scissors and water are provided. Be mindful of bees in the field. They won't trouble you if you don't trouble them. There is an area in the back for you to arrange the flowers; I took full advantage of this because this trip doubled as a photo shoot. There were all types of people enjoying the farm; IG girls, families, even one couple using a wagon full of pumpkins as a baby announcement. Pumpkins range from $5-$20 each depending on size and breed. A nice young man named Luke helped us corral our pumpkins and carry them to our car. I didn't know they offered that service, but we tipped well. If you run up an appetite, they have a snack bar with fritters, ice cream, and lemonade. I'll be back next fall!

I…read morewas completely in awe of all things farming & everything they're cultivating for the community. The fresh fruits & vegetables really stand out, from everyday staples like greens, cabbage & tomatoes to unique finds like soursop, dragon fruit & colorful red, yellow & orange watermelons. The market also offers fresh juices, pasture-raised eggs, honey, sea moss, loose-leaf teas, handmade soaps, seasonal goods & a thoughtful selection of nursery plants. What I love most is the intention behind it all: food that makes sense for everyday cooking & real life, at accessible prices. Some comes directly from land they care for; other offerings come from producers they trust. Everything is chosen on purpose. Their Weekly Farm Box is another great example of community advocacy, a CSA-style subscription bringing together seasonal produce, pasture-raised foods & curated farm staples from Atlanta Harvest & partner farms. It's a simple way to bring fresh, local food home week after week, without the grocery store stress or wondering where it comes from. I especially appreciate their philosophy of farming with the seasons, recognizing that some weeks are busy & full while others are slower, allowing that natural rhythm to shape what they grow, stock & offer. Such a thoughtful approach to farming & food. & the customer service reflects that same spirit of community. Everyone was friendly, welcoming & genuinely helpful. We visited on a 91-degree day, & an employee was even handing out complimentary bottled water. That says a lot. Of course, a salute to the grab & go Vegan desserts. The cinnamon roll & icing were right on point. A phenomenal local gem for fresh food, seasonal offerings & supporting farmers & producers who truly care about what they put on the table & advocating for nutritious, intentional food choices.

The tent may be small , but it's packed with high quality, locally grown products. The fresh fruits and veggies were beautiful, and the potatoes were nearly perfect- without blemishes I often see at the grocery stores. It takes me forever to pick out the best potatoes when I'm at the grocery store. They also offered fresh meats raised without pesticides, along with delicious canned jellies , local honey , and huge watermelons that reminded me of the ones I remember from childhood. A really good healthy summer treat! Note: veggies such as cabbage, greens and tomatoes , peaches pears , watermelon and fresh flowers , eggs , beef and honey are harvest on site . But specialty items , such as ; soaps , sea moss and jams come from regional makers ... just to name a few things. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. One team member even took a moment to thank everyone out loud for supporting local farmers, creating a warm sense of community and appreciation. That made me so happy! It's something that's been lost in this world - appreciation. Handicap parking is located right outside the main entrance, in front of the tent . Make note ; overall parking is very limited . I definitely chose the right time to go. And the lot of gravel , so I recommend wearing comfortable shoes ( especially the ladies ) since the ground is uneven . You will not like wearing heels . Some ladies had baby strollers , it's ok , but expect it to be a little bumpy. If you want great products and want to support local farmers I would definitely suggest Atlanta Harvest . I'll be back !!
