Best Aldi in the NW burbs. Newer, cleaner, with excellent selection of unusual stock. Must be the Aldi for upscale shoppers because what other one even has 4-5 versions of cauliflower crust pizza? Or conventional and organic versions of multiple types of fruits and vegetables? Look forward to trying the parmesan-custed tilapia and I loved the stuffed portobello mushrooms, breaded asparagus spears and large avocados @.79 each! Check this location out, you will be impressed and save this specific Aldi gem. Makes the others look like low-rent copies and gives options to save 50% off Whole Foods and Mariano's on some items. YOU'RE Welcome. ;-)

When people think of good quality food at low prices -- it surprises me that they think of Trader Joe's for more natural items, Sam's Club for bulk, or Jewel for most normal items. Aldi is one of the underappreciated stores where you're really getting amazing value for the dollar (even more so than at Walmart). Despite prices that undercut the generic brand elsewhere, products are consistently good and sometimes even excellent -- rivaling the quality of items twice or thrice the cost from a major name brand. This store is especially nice with bright lights, well maintained floor and shelves, wide aisles, attractive looking interior, and wide selection of items. It's a great place to get quality food without breaking the bank.

I want to like this farmer's market so much because it is close to me and easy to get to, but alas,…read moreI cannot. It's a fairly small market and it's lacking in produce stands. I get that Farmer's Markets are also a great place to sell other specialty items but the vegetables are the main thing I'm looking for. Some of the vegetables looked sad and wilted already and I couldn't believe the prices they were still charging for them. I did buy some bratwurst from a meat vendor that was there and they had some good stuff available, but again it was pricey. I understand that vendors need to charge more for their items but spending way more than I would at grocery store for the same items is a turn-off for me. Maybe I'm just spoiled because I used to visit farmers markets in Iowa (Iowa City and Dubuque) and both of those were quite spectacular with a wide array of options. The best thing about this market was the fresh squeezed lemonade I bought. Thankfully the vendor offers $2.50 lifetime refills so I can buy something when I visit again.

We have a small dog about 7 pounds and we carry him in a doggie carrier most of the times. He was not allowed to enter the market. As far as produce goes..the place looks good when you first get there but its actually quite small. I bought tomatoes, cucumbers and peaches. Tomatoes were overripped and peaches too sour. I will not be going back..do yourself a favor and go to Libertyville's Farmers Mark that's held on Thursday in downtown Libertyville. Way better selection of produce and friendlier atmosphere all together.

Stumbled across this store after a UPS return of what else... an online order, maybe? Lol…read more.. So I love Amish products, they seem so legit and "farmers market" without the hipster markup, amirite? So this new place was initially very intriguing and unusual... I think this storefront used to be a pre-prepped meal kit place, like the home delivery stuff being sold now over socials... Anyway, the store seems more like a eastern euro (Polish?) Business reselling Amish items. Prices seem well below retail on the few items they carry but produce and such fresh items are only passable and look to have seen better days. Dairy, bread and canned goods are interesting. Due to lack of preservatives the daily baked bread seems to go stale by end of day, so I got the inexpensive French mini loaf tossed in for free. Was planning on Air fryer toasting that into crostini anyway... so score. The drop in a star was due to the iffy customer service. Older lady needs to down some sugar and not shoot dour looks at me, not the best impression on a new customer..., the other lady seemed friendlier but should probably chill on long convos in Polish while a customer is standing at the register to checkout. Might be back, next time I'm in the strip mall for curiosity... but Woodman's has Amish items too.

And yes, in case you didn't know, while it's called "International", all those nations are in Asia. We come here mainly for two things - either getting ingredients to make hot pot at home, or just eating hot pot here. They also have dry pot, which my wife and I really like as an option. You grab a basket and fill it with whatever veggies you want, then a separate one and fill it with proteins, then you pay by the weight. You can either get it hot pot style in a big bowl of hot broth, or dry pot where they cook it in the broth but serve your food already cooked. As far as the grocery selection, they have a big seafood selection and a decent butcher area. Also a lot of Asia snacks and frozen selection, and a small liquor section too. Produce is fine. But if you're making hot pot at home, they have the sliced meat, soup base, sauces, and a little frozen fish ball self-serve area. If you don't want to eat hot pot here, they serve other Asian hot dishes, and there's a bubble tea spot and bakery here, but I haven't tried anything else besides the hot pot. Sense a trend yet? It's not as big as Joong Boo, and it's bigger than the current H Mart for now but will be interesting to see how the new one compares. Overall it's a fine grocery store and we'll come back when that craving for mala spice strikes.
