Best Aldi in the NW burbs. Newer, cleaner, with excellent selection of unusual stock. Must be the Aldi for upscale shoppers because what other one even has 4-5 versions of cauliflower crust pizza? Or conventional and organic versions of multiple types of fruits and vegetables? Look forward to trying the parmesan-custed tilapia and I loved the stuffed portobello mushrooms, breaded asparagus spears and large avocados @.79 each! Check this location out, you will be impressed and save this specific Aldi gem. Makes the others look like low-rent copies and gives options to save 50% off Whole Foods and Mariano's on some items. YOU'RE Welcome. ;-)

When people think of good quality food at low prices -- it surprises me that they think of Trader Joe's for more natural items, Sam's Club for bulk, or Jewel for most normal items. Aldi is one of the underappreciated stores where you're really getting amazing value for the dollar (even more so than at Walmart). Despite prices that undercut the generic brand elsewhere, products are consistently good and sometimes even excellent -- rivaling the quality of items twice or thrice the cost from a major name brand. This store is especially nice with bright lights, well maintained floor and shelves, wide aisles, attractive looking interior, and wide selection of items. It's a great place to get quality food without breaking the bank.

The husband and I decided to venture out to the farmer's market yesterday their second week of…read morebeing open for the season. They had all their usual vendors from fruit/veggie stands, meats, pet supplies, sweets, coffee, and other miscellaneous items from vendors. The moment we started pulling up to the farmer's market, I yelled out Toasty Cheese!! Yes, they were here for the first time I have seen at this event today. YAY!!! First stop was the pet supply vendor for some grain free treats for our pup. We purchase these treats on a frequent basis during farmer's market season. A very reasonable price of 5 dollars gives you three generous bags of different flavors and shapes of treats your fur baby will love! Next stop was Toasty Cheese food truck. How nice it was to not have to wait in a LONG line like at the food truck event in Schaumburg. I've been wanting to try their Hannah Banana dessert sandwich and although the item wasn't on the menu today the owner said he could make it for me. How nice was that?! The owner chatted with us and told us they may not do the food truck event again next month in Schaumburg due to the low turnout from the town of Schaumburg charging customers 5 dollars per person to just enter the event. We attend the Long Grove events for 5 dollars per person so it wouldn't be a problem for us to pay however it hits hard to the food truck business with lack of customers. My sandwich was served HOT and Fresh. This sandwich is deep fried filled with Nutella, banana, and marshmallow fluff. This sandwich was worth all the calories and other people at the event were coming up to me asking me what I was eating. A line was forming but nothing as crazy as the food truck event which was nice. While I was eating the Hannah Banana sandwich my husband went to purchase some veggies. He purchased red/green peppers for 3 for 2.00, green beans and broccoli were 2 for 5. A total of 7 dollars for all the veggies. Not a bad deal for the amount we got. We'll be going back to the farmer's market soon especially with Toasty Cheese appearing here!

Stumbled across this store after a UPS return of what else... an online order, maybe? Lol…read more.. So I love Amish products, they seem so legit and "farmers market" without the hipster markup, amirite? So this new place was initially very intriguing and unusual... I think this storefront used to be a pre-prepped meal kit place, like the home delivery stuff being sold now over socials... Anyway, the store seems more like a eastern euro (Polish?) Business reselling Amish items. Prices seem well below retail on the few items they carry but produce and such fresh items are only passable and look to have seen better days. Dairy, bread and canned goods are interesting. Due to lack of preservatives the daily baked bread seems to go stale by end of day, so I got the inexpensive French mini loaf tossed in for free. Was planning on Air fryer toasting that into crostini anyway... so score. The drop in a star was due to the iffy customer service. Older lady needs to down some sugar and not shoot dour looks at me, not the best impression on a new customer..., the other lady seemed friendlier but should probably chill on long convos in Polish while a customer is standing at the register to checkout. Might be back, next time I'm in the strip mall for curiosity... but Woodman's has Amish items too.
