And they're so delicious! During my latest visit I got apple butter, fresh apples, cider, peaches, and an apple pastry to go. They had pies and donuts, but they were already sold out - good sign, right!?! It was a nice stop as we drove through the southern Illinois area. I feel fortunate when we can time it right, driving through, and get some good ol' southern Illinois orchard goodies! YUM!

I do not understand why the management does not train their employees to be courteous and competent. It is appalling! When I spend hundreds of dollars on groceries, I expect a simple thank you and please come again at the very least. I expect all the items I purchase to be put in bags and not left on the counter. I expect to be charged the correct price for my items. I expect my items not to be damaged by poor bagging skills. I do not expect to have to tell a grocery cashier what celery is. I do not expect to have to bag my own groceries because there is no staff. I have an unpleasant experience every time I shop at these stores. I feel this is an egregious lack of competency on the part of the store management. And given the current price of groceries, this is not acceptable.
