They had a cooler with pre-picked stuff or you could get a tray and head out. We decided on the latter so took off with our guide and was lead to an unpicked area. The guide tagged to rows we could pick and where we could start and go to. There was no worries though, there was plenty left to pick. We spent a better part of an hour picking 4 trays of berries. When we went to pay they gave us stickers to put on the trays so we could save $0.50 by using the same trays when we came back. Useless since we didn't live in the area. The berries were good, better than store bought. The picking took a bit of time since we were in previously picked rows. Also comparing what we had to what they offered in the cooler our berries seemed a bit smaller.

It's not like the big family destination spot orchards - so check your Eckert Family Farm expectations at the door as you drive down the blacktop highway. There is a small food kitchen connected to it that was cooking and selling food, but I didn't try it. This is one place you can sometimes get Mutsu apples -- the BEST apples for baking! And they're so delicious! During my latest visit I got apple butter, fresh apples, cider, peaches, and an apple pastry to go. They had pies and donuts, but they were already sold out - good sign, right!?! It was a nice stop as we drove through the southern Illinois area. I feel fortunate when we can time it right, driving through, and get some good ol' southern Illinois orchard goodies! YUM!

The taste is alright but the quality is near the bottom. I had this problem the last time I purchased off the truck. Consider my purchasing from Bremer Orchard peach truck done. I will continue to purchase Georgia Peaches off the truck that comes to Paducah twice in July, and those peaches will last upwards of two weeks but none off Bremer's peach truck!

They think they can spot disabilities that aren't visible and accuse you of lying for making an honest mistake and assumption. (Driving to the trees as a handicap person with limited mobility) so the discriminate against the disabled and accuse who ever they want with no proof other then a supposed memory that never happened (or was with someone who looked like me but wasnt, so why not just kick every one who looks similar out right?) The old man thinks because he is a ex judge he is big boss and can get be a rude SOB to anyone and face no repercussions. (While he may be boss there at the store he can't just talk to people how ever he wants and accuse innocent people of stealing with out proof). So do not waste your money here unless you want to be accused of some wild accusations some time in the future and them thinking them banning you isn't going to hurt them. I hope all their tress get diseases and die.
