Veggie Burgers
Joe S.

Aldi's has some great deals on various food items (snacks, frozen, produce, snacks) and some other items as well. They offer competitive prices by limiting the number of workers, hours they're open, and displaying products in boxes instead of nicely restocking the shelves. It's a model that works to keep prices down and the long lines show that people are willing to shop in those conditions. I stopped in while I was next door at Ace as I've been reading about some of the vegan options they had. They had a vegan mozzarella and some nice frozen veggie burgers that looked good. They also have a nice assortment of meats, sausages, cheeses, wine, dry goods, etc. and probably enough to keep any kitchen stocked. Some items were gone completely from the shelves as they looked bare, but it's a relatively small store and it was crazy busy. Having just restocked my freezer, I didn't have room for anything and didn't want to wait in the long line for the 2 items I had picked up. I'll definitely be back when my stock runs low. And I'll probably try to avoid it on the weekend. It may be a run out at lunch type of place.

The pride and joy of Philadelphia here in Orlando

I possess mixed feelings on Aldi's. On one hand there are some true finds and great price points, however there can be long lines due to limited cashiers, there is no phone number to even call a particular location, customer service is often lacking, they can be somewhat dirty, and more. The stores can also seem like a culinary Odd Lots, offering off name brands and seeming items bought at closeouts. All of the detriments I listed above are created out of an attempt at cost savings. I am sorry, but the thought of not having a phone line in your location is beyond a savings cost and stands in arrogant reverence to the bottom line. With that being said, there are some decent reasons to head to Aldi's. One of them is a particular bread that is synonymous with Philadelphia and anyone who spent time in the City of Brotherly Love holds it in a reverence akin to, well, akin to Aldi's reverence to the bottom line and saving pennies here and there. Amoroso's has been making bread and rolls in Philadelphia since 1904 and have created a roll that sets the bar on what a roll should be for those in Philly and the surrounding area. Aldi's has them at a great price (under $3 a package). Amoroso's rolls are enough to keep me walking through those doors.

First time for me to shop at this particular Aldi. I shop the Aldi in my neighborhood quite regularly. Ran into this Aldi to pick up some bottled water for my son who is a UCF student and lives off campus but doesn't have a car. He goes through a lot of bottled water so I'm looking for the cheapest price. Aldi has the lowest price on bottled water, hands down. This store was very clean, organized, and the check out moved very quickly even though it was a busy Saturday morning when I shopped here.

Look at this awesome find!

Still 5 stars since I can't bump it up another notch. They have their staples like Chicken Parm, Lasagna, Bolognese, Shrimp Fry Diavolo, Puttanesca , Piccata, Gnocchi, and a variety of delicious pizzas and appetizers. There are too many to name. This restaurant can stand on their own with their standards. Where they stand out is with their specials. The chef here is always innovating and trying some new dishes. I wish I could get a notification of what's on the menu each night. I've had some amazing surprises with the taste and presentation of these dishes. And when they have wedding soup (Christmas time), I definitely make sure I go. I feel like part of the family when I go here. They always recognize us and some of the staff even resembles member of my extended Italian family. They cook better than my Italian grandma (shhhh, don't tell her). They also just opened a sister restaurant (Amalfi) down the block so they're taking over Avalon Park! I've been here a lot and plan on going a lot more. Some of the best Italian food in Orlando! So glad it's close to my house!

Our appetiser was a carpaccio which was very refreshing and delicious. The server Madison recommended the lobster ravioli which was a very pleasant dish slightly sweet and rich a beautiful mix. The spaghetti meatballs also exquisite even for a simple dish, the meatballs not really extremely tender but they were still delicious. Overall the service and food were 10/10 especially our server Madison who's been there since the beginning and gave us A+ hospitality.

She explained their new coffee menu, freshly made pastries, bowls and burgers. It was a small cozy area with a few tables outside. I ordered the Tres Palmas fruit bowl, chatarra fries, iced matcha and mallorca pastry. I wanted the quesito guayaba but it was not available at the time so I tried the Mallorca which was still good. The size is good for sharing and it's best consumed the same day. With the fruit bowl you get 3 scoops and choose between acai, pitaya, coconut or passionfruit. I did 2 scoops of pitaya because I love dragonfruit and tried one scoop of coconut. I was pleasantly surprised with the coconut; it was very smooth and rich! The Chatarra fries surprised me as well. The fries remained crispy even when drenched with sauce. The combo of the meat with the cilantro aioli and guava sauce = perfection. I couldn't even tell it was ground impossible meat til I looked at the ingredients after. What a perfect snack. The iced matcha was good. I was able to order it with oat milk but I think it needed sweetener next time. They have agave or honey and coconut brown sugar. I could have probably asked for 4 teaspoons instead of 2. Overall it was a great experience. I'd like to explore the menu more next time. Tip: Tuesdays they have $11 bowls!

I loved the consistency of the açaí and the toppings were all super fresh. Highly recommend stopping by. The service was quick and the staff were really nice. Also very cute ambiance inside and loved the Spanish songs they played inside. Also I got to give it up to Cultivo coffee. I was intrigued by their flan latte. I don't like overly sweet drinks so they offered to go light on the sweetness level and it was perfect. Highly recommend the flan latte and if you don't want overly sweet let them know and they can modify it. If you love sweet drinks you probably will love it as it is. The latte has a dense foam on top which is flan flavored and very delicious.
