This is an all new Aldi's store that just opened about a month ago. Really nice inside, roomy and well laid out. I actually stopped in to purchase an office chair...... Yes, this is a grocery store but Aldi's always has a small section of "non grocery" items. In their ad I noticed this office chair so that's how I knew they had it. These 'non grocery" items are only around for a week as new items follow the following week. Since it was my first time in this store I spent some time walking around and checking it out.

Great, fast two-bag meal tonight. Bought Aldi Thai Coconut Chicken and Aldi Kung Pao Broccoli. See photos. OK, so not gourmet, but in less than 10 mins, you have a tasty, spicy meal. While I microwaved, wife made (not from Aldi) fresh tomatoes with scallions, feta cheese, Kraft Greek Vinaigrette dressing, and Penzeys California Seasoned Pepper. Fun!

Brand new Aldi. I came here on opening day and was impressed with how nice and big the place is. However on my second visit the following week, I was a bit disappointed in the produce. Most of it was going bad. They did have discounted prices on quite a bit but the items would need to be used right away and I was shopping for the week. The sale prices were great though. I just needed items that would last me longer. Still I will shop here. Give them a chance to get used to the flow of product. I have shopped Aldi for almost 30 years. Love the stores and the savings.

It's tucked into the Outer Loop shopping area, and while it's not fancy, it's clean, bright, and surprisingly roomy inside.

Great News!!!! Garden Gate won't be using Apeel or Bio engineered foods!!!! Most of their foods are…read morefrom the Amish farmers!!! As of late, I can no longer shop at Krogers, Sam's Club, and most big box stores. 100% of their foods are using Apeel (terrible toxins to preserve old fruit and veggies) actually, makes me sick. And, 100% foods are bio engineered... like they use seed oils in everything... which makes me very sick. This is why there is so much sickness in America. Seed oils is like eating petroleum for your car... very toxic. Now, all the big chain stores are putting toxic plastic on your fruits and veggies that can't be washed off. Sadly, the Apeel foods are un edible. And, often rotten inside. Very sad.... Bill Gates is putting this on all the food worldwide, accept, European countries. I've known Dale for 20 plus years and his has the best organic and fresh fruits and veggies! Love him and his family! Love @ globalfreeliving.com

Garden Gate Farmer Market Review... (I don't recommend Garden Gates Gift Baskets and Fruits and…read moreVeggies.) My family has enjoyed Garden Gate for the last 30 plus years. I thought I had a great relationship with the Garden Gate family. Over the last few years... Dale has been selling conventional fruit as organic fruit et veggies from the Amish. Charging big prices for conventional fruit. The apples and other fruit is obvious gmo with apeel. I bought two expensive fruit baskets for my two mothers... and they provided me with two baskets that didn't have the items I purchased... I bought the baskets for the banana bread loaf and other high quality items. I was disappointed when I picked up the Fruit Baskets on Mother's day??? I lovingly mentioned to Dale... I bought these baskets for the banana bread and other high end items... which they didn't have included. Dales, reply? Get over it... You'll be fine? He replaced the Bread with two small blue berry muffins? I didn't buy a basket with banana's, muffins or grapes... Dale wasn't even gracious and offer to replace these items. He told me to give over it? And, laughed at me... My mother's don't care for banana's, grapes, or muffins... the basket's I ordered didn't have these items in them??? What the heck? So, if you frequent Dales market (Breckenridge Lane, Lou, Ky)... organic fruits starts with a #9 on the fruit and veggies... the water melons aren't ready until the middle of the summer... I bought 1/4 of a watermelon from Dale... cost me $8 and wasn't ripe at all. The apples started with a #3... this means conventionally grown with pesticides. Bugs, birds, rodents, etc.. won't eat conventionally grown fruits or veggies. When you order a basket... take the order and compare it to the order you bought... it says what's included in each basket. I'm not shopping there anymore... Buyer beware.

I also loved helping my mom plant begonias, impatiens, and geraniums at my childhood home. Being an adult now, I have been able to beautify my own yard for 14 years now with the best flowers in town! Each year, my mom and I have an annual flower shopping day to celebrate Mother's Day, and those flowers thrive until at least mid November. All of the staff at Jiggs are always so helpful and amazing. I've had people bring me carts, offer help to my car, suggest plant combinations to help me benefit from sales, and give me the best advice for my flowers. I often find myself telling strangers to go to Jiggs when I see them browsing grocery store plants! The produce, hay bales, corn stalks, mums, trees, and wreaths are also off season reasons why Jiggs is my go-to spot for beautifying my home! If you haven't shopped here yet, make the stop and you won't be sorry, better yet- make it a tradition like I do!

The food - A lot of variety of sandwiches to choose from. My Turkey sandwich was packed with meat that overwhelmed the regular slices of bread. I had to add to it to bring flavor to it and would recommend adding thicker slices of bread to it. The baked were good. Loved the variety of fruit options, frozen items, fresh meat, and other things to try out. Garden section - Didn't know this existed in here. A variety of plants and flowers to choose from. Customer service- It was top notch from the counter and front store cashiers. Everyone was nice and on point. They kept lines moving which I appreciated too. So this is on my store rotation to try new things here!

Total was $15.90 paid in cash. The bread was delicious. The meat was delicious. The veggies were fresh. The cheese was flavorful. We'll be back on a Thursday for the ribeye sandwich. We'll be back for the burger, the pork chop, and the ribs. There is a menu full of items we want to try because the deli sandwich was great. Highly recommend!
