A must-share, noteworthy and heartwarming shopping experience happened today at the Aldi's in Long Beach. We were helped by a cashier named Kyler. He was the nicest, courteous, professional and very helpful young man. We first saw him stocking up at the produce dept. I had to ask for his name, told him what a great job he was doing and will be sure to let the management know. Cashiers are really weird, properly lack of customer service skills. My second time visited this market and cashier will tell you the price in her throat, silently (($8.95)). I was like "what?". Then she repeated in annoyance, "$8.95." It happened last time as well with a different cashier. I really wonder how they get trained or hired. They are properly a lazy bunch. read more

The nature of this grocery store is a little different from other grocery stores, some of them include: -You need to insert a quarter to get a cart, which you can get back when you return it in the cart queue (thus no need for a cart collector) -There is minimal marketing and branding around the store... it's very simple layout with no distractions -Cashiers do not help with bagging your items; instead there is a designated area for you to bag your own items. I believe because of these unique elements, Aldi is able to provide quality food at a very good price. Some of their food are brand name but many of them are off-brand, which I don't mind. So I hate grocery shopping but Aldi makes it fun ! They always have fun products, cheap alcohol, and lots of vegan stuff.

Dont buy shit from here i bought bbq ribs here and the next day they where green i went to return them and they said i problatly took them out of the trash from there trash can the managers there are soo rude how can they say that i didnt want my money i wanted them to trade them soo i told them no i didnt get them off the tash problalty u guys did and u guys are getting them back its a nasty food place read more

I really like the products and prices at this store, but the low rating is due to the lax enforcement of Covid standards. I know a lot of it is due to the fact that Americans are the stupidest people on the planet and it's hard to get them to do anything correctly, but all of the workers here are just turning a blind eye to all that is going on. Despite the safety procedures Aldi touts on its website, there is no one enforcing reduced numbers of shoppers in the store, social distancing or mask wearing. A homeless man with no mask was practically on top of me. They have the aisles marked one-way, but everyone is going every which way and nobody is stopping them. There is no cart cleaning and hand sanitizing station at the door like so many other businesses have. read more

I have been shopping at the Cerritos store since they opened and was thrilled when the one on Atlantic opened as it's so much closer for me. I thought the customer service at their Cerritos store was fantastic but the Atlantic store is tenfold regarding customer service. I use a walker and they have a scooter there and when they see me they actually bring the scooter to me and then take my Walker and put it aside. They helped me bag my groceries and have me stay in the scooter and they take my Walker with the groceries on it out to my car and load it and then take the scooter back inside for me. Always with a pleasant smile and a wonderful greeting. The Fantastic prices at the store are just a bonus compared to their customer service. I highly recommend shopping here. I was very pleased with my shopping experience. I've been wanting to try out Aldi and man have I been missing out! It's like the 99 cents store, Sprouts, Food 4 Less and Costco had a baby. There were a lot of off brand products and a few familiar brands. They had gourmet hard to find items like fancy cheeses and Mediterranean olive & avocado oils, and brioche buns for almost half the price at specialty markets. I felt like I was at some type of exclusive shopping club. The cashier and the customers were very friendly. I will definitely be back read more

Alternative to the grocery outlet and other grocery stores. I come here once in a while with the gf, we usually find alternatives to the products we came for, the prices here are excellent! Only thing I don't like are the paper bags you get at checkout for a few cents. read more

This is my third trip here. I must admit the first experience left me with just a Meh feeling! It was hard to understand the checker putting my items in a shopping cart...it just seems easy to put your bag in cart & they put item in bag. Oh well. This third experience was so pleasant. I went in with the intention of picking up four items...walk out with five. The reason for FIVE STARS. The young male checker, need to get his name. Not only did he greet me, he asked if I found everything I needed. Normally I just say, yes & leave it at that. Today, I told him yes, with the exception of I shredded mozzarella cheese. It was so impressive that not only did he know what his company stocks, he also knew a truck was making a delivery. The item I wanted was being unloaded. He ran back & got me the mozzarella! I so appreciate that he made that effort for me. I will definitely be going back to Aldi! read more

Aldi's is my go to store! On a special diet the star has a lot of the products that I need. Organic Products at a reasonable price. The people here are so friendly and helpful even take things to your car if need be. Returns are no problem as long as you have your receipt bring a quarter for your cart you get it back at the end and your own reusable bags I love the store read more

absolutely no customer service, the cashier Stephanie snatched my coupon from me and stuck it in the drawer and never used it, I looked on my receipt and it was not scanned. When I asked her to show me where it was used, after a couple of seconds staring at it she pushed my cart bumping into me and went to another lady and asked her about it. She came back to me and told me to use it in my next purchase yelling at me. She began to yell at me and tell me I don't spend my limit. I told her she did not have to yell at me, I didn't know and she yelled and said she walks just trying to do her job. I understand she was doing her job but from the start she snatched the coupon and was rude the entire time including pushing the basket on me. I went to talk to her supervisor Sandra and she was rude to me and sarcastic to me as well. I asked her if there was a district manager and she said no. Where has customer service gone, even going to a supervisor was pointless, she was just as rude as the employee. read more

They overcharge and the cashiers are rude. They don't even deserve 1 star. I'd give them -5. The place is a waste of time, if you wanna pay less go somewhere else because they'll just end up charging you for items that aren't part of your purchase. read more

We shop here about every other week or so and we love the store and the concept with the carts and the fast checkout but the location sucks with homeless people always standing around and asking for change. Sometimes the stuff we want aren't in stock but overall it's decent. read more

I really do like this store. Food is good and economical. It's all generic store brand food but that's fine with me. The only thing I don't like is that they open at 9 am like a retail store. Grocery stores usually open at 6/ 7 am. The time isn't convenient for someone who likes to shop early. read more

Love this store, but hate the hours. You open at 9am! That's pretty late. I think you should at least open at 8 am. As I sit here and wait for you to open, I've already seen 3 cars leave to Vons.
