If you aren't on the Aldo train yet, it's time to hop on board. This place has groceries for literally half the price of every other grocery store and so far, the only product that I don't like to buy at Aldi is plain Cheerios. To start, the parking lot is huge and always has close spots available. The carts are easy to access - just insert your quarter and you get it back at the end! Then you walk inside and everything is neatly arranged and not overwhelming. This particular Aldi isn't as expansive as some of the new ones, but I haven't had any issues getting what I need. Plus, it's nice to get through an entire grocery store sometimes without walking 5 miles. Some of my favorite recurring Aldi purchases are the winking owl wine ($3.99) and their assortment of fresh produce, which they get in daily. I can get an entire bag of apples for $2.99. They also have amazing bacon wrapped steak fillets for less than $5.00. The best part of this location? The people. Nicest staff I've encountered in a grocery store.

Aldi is a great store. My first experience in Aldi was when I was in college. I basically lived off the food there! As for this location in Lewis Center, it is fairly new but has been in this area for a while now. I choose to write this review because I want others to know the location and also be aware of the produce there. I am very knowledgeable about some of where this produce came from because I used to work for Del Monte which supplied most of its fruits and vegetables to wholesale stores and Aldi. Aldi will make an order based off how much they think they will sell of each produce item. While I was with Del Monte I saw more pineapples, bananas and avocados going there. Mostly the "in season" foods were going to Aldi. I go to this store because it's a very convenient drive from where I live. I also like how this store isn't super busy like the one on Mound Street and in Gahanna. That means service is also way better here. If you need something they will look behind the refrigerator just to find it for you. Even though I don't come here often I wanted to give it credit since I realize it does have Gordon Foods next door as its competitor and as a store I think this one out beats that one. If you don't believe me come out here yourself and see what Aldi has to offer!

I love shopping here. The prices are low, and the groceries are fresh. The store is clean and well stocked up.

The ambiance is very family friendly, dog friendly and includive. Great vibe! It has gotten considerably larger since they moved it to the big public lot behind Jimmy V's. The market was celebrating its 10th anniversary and was giving out free reusable sacks to every person/family that entered, which was a nice bonus! Our small dog, Loki was given his pre market pep talk (by his humans) of no barking and no fighting with the big dogs or taking ice cream out of babes hands.... He promised to be on biscuits best behavior. There were plenty of dogs there.... Loki was happy about that. Kids werent off the rails here, that was nice. However, people need to realize not every dog wants a human, kid or big dog to surprise it to say hello without asking its owner first. there may or may not of been a bit of barking at that occasion. Lol. There was a nice selection of vendors. Many local farmers. Good selection of freshly butchered meats. We left with some lamb, Tulip Cafe desserts and a dozen pierogis from our most fav vendor "Sweet Cle-bus" I have to give the vendor, Tulip Cafe, big props. Seldom do I think a cookie is worth 3 dollars let alone four... but their nutella cookie is completely worth it. I would of been buying this often and by the dozens if my kids were still little. Its the perfect amount of sweetness and you just feel better about it being made with Nutella vs chocolate. Would of had a close up picture for you all but I ate it and did not and would not share. Thank you Westerville for hosting such a nice variety of vendors. We enjoyed our visit and hope to stop back!

We left with local honey & peanut butter, and our friends left with lemonade, strawberries, herbs and more. My 4yo hasn't expanded very far beyond vanilla with sprinkles and rainbow sherbet and today she chose rainbow sherbet. She tasted the sherbet a 9/10 because she forgot to order sprinkles (definitely customer error). You order at the front counter and they have a large menu of ice cream in cups, cones, shakes and Sundays as well as coney dogs, sodas and walking tacos among other items. I chose a pineapple lemonade but they had an array of flavors. The pineapple lemonade was lemonade with a pineapple puree topping that had to be mixed in. Even after mixing I didn't get much pineapple flavor but the puree did make it's way through the straw from time to time. After ordering you pick up your order at the back counter. The music was quite loud, although I do enjoy jazz. One scoop of sherbet in a cup and a 16oz flavored lemonade was just under $12 so not really a great deal but we had time to kill and I promised ice cream if she left the play area without a total meltdown.

The owners personally showed us around, explained their packaged box deals, and treated us to samples of heavenly strawberry cake and bold, aromatic spice blends. It's rare to get this kind of personal service, and knowing these recipes come straight from a family tradition makes it even more special. They've brought authentic southern flavors to the community in such an approachable way. Proud to support them, and I can't wait to enjoy everything we took home!
