This Whole Foods location in Sugar Land is one of my favorite grocery stores for fresh produce,…read morebakery items, organic foods, specialty diets, and high-quality meat and eggs. If you're looking for gluten-free, vegan, or other specialty products, the selection here is excellent. The store is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking, and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. A nice bonus is the Amazon return counter inside the store. You can bring eligible Amazon returns without packaging, and they handle the rest. One thing I wanted to mention for anyone trying to take advantage of the current Amazon Prime ice cream promotion (50% off pints through July 7): this location has had ongoing ice cream issues. I visited twice recently and found the freezers completely empty both times. On one visit, staff said they were waiting on a shipment; on the next visit, they explained that the freezer had broken and posted a sign stating that no ice cream pints were available for sale. So if you're specifically coming for the ice cream deal, I'd recommend calling ahead first or checking another Whole Foods location. Aside from that issue, it's still a great store and a very convenient Whole Foods for the Sugar Land area.

There just is nothing so overwhelming that the price per pound should be as high as it is. Salad bar items are 11.99 a pound. Olive bar, I would expect to be higher but not 11.99 as well. I completely understand and it's very well known that because of its organic food selections and quality that Whole Foods does selectively market to a higher economic demographic that is less price sensitive. However, I am in that upper demographic and I'm getting distracted by getting a salad and some olives and walking out of the store with a $35 bill. At this price, I can just eat at a restaurant, and a decent one at that.

We have been eating lunch at the Honey Baked Ham Store in Lake Jackson several times in the past…read morecouple of months. I love the half chef salad and half soup meal, mainly because I try to avoid gluten from wheat. The meal is always very good, and I love that the drinks are not as high priced as other places, so I get one there, while not when they are higher priced at most other restaurants. My husband always enjoys his sandwich choices and cup of soup he orders on the side. You can get about anything "as a meal," or make the half one item & half another. Sometimes, as is usual in a fast-food restaurant, someone new may make a mistake, or be slow at putting the order in, but we feel the good food and prices are well worth practicing a little patience and grace. They are always willing to help be sure they get it right if you nicely point out a mistake, IF a mistake was made, and have always aimed to please! CJH

So 12 sliders for 30$ but 9 sliders is 40$. The math ain't mathing. And drinks are not included so we didn't get them. Also no sweet tea. Worst decision of my week to choose this for my Friday lunch. Pathetic. Perfect display of overpriced and under-fed.

I can only speak to Frank's deer processing (not catering or meats). I typically have between 4 to…read more8 deer per year processed and due to the convenience of Frank's (close to home and work ) I have tried to use them as my only processor. Service - This is the main reason behind my low rating. It has always been a running joke between my friends and I that the first word out of Frank's mouth when they call to inform you it's ready is "we're out of freezer space and need you to pick it up immediately ". This is normally not an issue for me because it's conveniently located for me but I do travel for work so there have been times when I couldn't get there immediately. Even though I inform them of this when I drop the meat off they still act like it's an inconvenience for them. This year they actually turned down two of my deer because they didn't have freezer space to take them. This was a major inconvenience for me since I depended on their service and didn't have many options. Price - Based on what I've seen, they are on the high side compared to other processors. Quality - The quality is okay but you have to be explicitly clear what you want. As an example, I asked for one of my deer to be boned out last year. I received a 30 pound block of frozen deer in a single bag. This was extremely difficult for me to use in that form. Their summer sausage is good and so is their link sausage. Overall - I like the convenience of Frank's and if you're explicit in what you want then they are okay to use. I feel they should invest in another freezer since this seems to be a major bottleneck for them and turning away business is no way to retain loyal customers. I will likely try to find another processor in the area that needs business next year so I'm not put in a bad position when Frank's has no freezer space.
