Aldi has better eggs than Kroger.
    E.L. P.

I live in the Heights, so I must Drive. To. Get. Here. But it's soooo worth it. I come out here every two weeks now. It's about the size of a Walgreens, which surprised me, at first. And then I remembered that, yes, this follows the German model --- tiny supermarkets. Specifically, there are GREAT BUYS on large eggs, milk, juice, and meats. And not just inexpensive, but HIGH QUALITY. The large eggs are MUCH larger than what I can find at Kroger, and the shells are harder ---- to me, this means healthier chickens. They also have cool German pumpernickel and rye breads, that I can't find in regular stores. PLEASE, OPEN AN ALDI THAT IS CENTRALLY LOCATED!!! ALDI is very German (Euro) in that you must pay $0.25 deposit for a shopping cart; you get this back when you return the cart. This really prevents people from leaving carts all over the place, and it reduces the cost of hiring more employees. Also, you must pay for plastic and paper bags (paper is cheaper), so bring your own bags .... And you'll bag your own groceries. Also, I think it's awesome that the cashier GETS TO SIT DOWN. Seriously, why make these people stand for 8 hours! That's outrageous and seriously bad for the body! Yay, ALDI!

So this Aldi is near 1960 and Falling Creek. Convient location! Their flyers always bring me in and ita mainly for the Non Food items or seasonal home things! I really dont care for the ofd brand products. You can find name brand food product but I find them actually priced Higher! The produce section is Hit or Miss! When your shopping look for empty stock box to use to carry out your stuff if your buying much..to transport to your car n home. Or bring your own reusable bags! The biggest reason for giving this lil corner mart only 3 Stars is because they almost always only have ONE Cashier open and Line can be long! Be patient!

The manager I believed welcomed me BACK. I said "Oh thank you", but in my head I was thinking this was my first time back in months, lol. I must have a twin, lol. Ok, back to the review. The staff was very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. There's also plenty of seating in a quaint, charming little market setting, making it a great spot to sit, relax, and enjoy your drink. Definitely a hidden gem--I'll be back to try more flavors! 5 stars!

Houston Flea Market is the definition of "you get what you pay for." It's overcrowded, disorganized, and feels like a maze of the same vendors selling the same cheap imported products over and over. The aisles can be dirty, parking is chaotic, and customer service varies wildly depending on who you're dealing with. Prices aren't always the bargain you'd expect either--many sellers charge close to retail unless you're willing to haggle. The food is one of the better parts, but it isn't enough to make up for the overall experience. If you're hoping to find unique antiques or hidden treasures, you'll probably leave disappointed after digging through piles of low-quality merchandise. Unless you specifically enjoy the flea market atmosphere or know exactly what you're looking for, there are much better ways to spend your time.

I wanted to learn more about the company since it's local and I often find the juices in the produce section while shopping at HEB. The founders, Norma and Walter Nimocks, decided to bring juices to the masses after experimenting with various combinations and recipes. Norma, as I discovered, is originally from Ecuador, but the Nimocks's travels throughout Central and South America also apparently inspired them as they went about creating shots and juices. Although I haven't tried any of the Just Made wellness shots, I definitely get the juices often. I would say my favorite thus far is Ginger Greens (Immunity) which includes: kale, spinach, pineapple and ginger. It tastes great and has a dark green label. Also included are coconut water, pear juice and lime juice. The flavors are well balanced. My second favorite juice is the Beets & Turmeric which includes: beets, orange juice, coconut water, pear juice and carrot. One would initially expect the beets to overpower everything else in the mix, but again, this is a well balanced blend. Another flavor I tried recently is the Pineapple Ginger, which is delicious. Overall, I highly recommend these juices because it's a great tasting, affordable healthy option (priced just over $3 for the 11.8 oz bottles).

My fave is the Just Better Greens - a green juice blend with Kale, Cukes and Spirulina. This is right up my alley when I want a juice quickly and have no time to juice at home.

It's close to Costco and H-Mart, and near H-Mart you'll also find Paris Baguette and Tous Les Jours. There's an 85°C nearby as well and with Costco right next door, you could easily spend half a day hopping between all these places. On weekends, traffic can be pretty crazy and parking isn't easy since everyone shops then. However, if you come on a weekday especially outside of lunchtime--it's much easier to find a parking spot. Inside 99 Ranch, there's a food court with options like San dong noodles, dim sum, stir-fry dishes, and Chinese barbecue. On the other side of the plaza, there are also several restaurants, including Korean spots and Vietnamese crawfish places. As for the store itself, there are always clearance items near the Kung Fu Tea area, which we usually check out before heading in to shop for fruits, produce, vegetables--pretty much everything. I found my favorite Japanese soy milk but this was banana flavored. Way too sweet for me and it was $4/carton. It's a large store and they offer a loyalty program. If it's your first time visiting 99 Ranch, you could easily spend an hour just roaming the aisles. There's so much to see--it almost feels like a little field trip every time we go.

Lol I walk up saw him trying to make a purchase, I thought ok...I'm cool with it. However his card declined and instead of walking away...he made it very clear that he wasn't moving and that to give him time to call his bank. (In a very stand-offish type of manner) When that failed he tried calling a person to see if he wanted to send him money so he could purchase. Which was just rude move...and unfortunately for him his friend said he didn't want to buy it. So as I'm watching him constantly swipe his card call his bank while it just keep declining....i called him out about how is actually buying a reselling to someone else. Basically he isn't there to protect and guard the area....he is there for entirely something else. Eventually I told him it's just not meant to be, your card is declining...then he responds with "I am just doing this to annoy you and that he doesn't work for Kroger. The Kroger manager witness this and it seems like he bully's the other employees from getting cards as well....according to another Kroger employee. He is a photos of him in uniform, in the middle of his shift. Hiring rude people like this is not a good move at all! If he he did this to me, I could imagine all the people he does it to on a daily that don't stand up to this nonsense. Also the manager should have some say, when a security guard is performing an UNETHICAL act to a CUSTOMER. Looks like the manager and employees are intimidated by them.
