There's a FB group for fans to review Aldi finds. I joined it years ago but recently started paying it attention. I found my self in an extremely cleaned and organized store on Saturday night. There were few customers there so I was able to slowly go up/down the stocked shelves. It has wide isles to enable others to pass me as I read labels. For a shopping addict like me with a limited wallet it was wonderful and awful! Lemon Curd! Yep! I would have ignored it. Aldi FB Fans travel miles to buy bottles when alerted in the group a particular store has it in stock. I had to pick it to try. Food Savers and the related vacuum bags were in stock for a fraction of the price elsewhere. English muffins were $1.29 and I thought the BOGO sale last week for $5+ at the big chain store was a deal! Then I saw the Alabama made sausage I love was also $2 cheaper there. I even grabbed a cast iron skillet in green to use the sausage when I cooked the dirty rice mix the group raved about. Lol! Long story short I purchased many items I wouldn't have grabbed in the store nearest me. This store on Morgan Road used to be a Winn Dixie so it's larger and not as busy as the one I usually shop. I'm not going to travel to this store often but it was a wonderful experience! My budget is shot but if I cook the item I purchased, freeze single meal portions. Then I'm good until payday. I only saw two employees but there wasn't a wait to check out. Both of them were very pleasant and kind. I wished I lived nearer to this store. I made my first entry into that fb group and several people were excited about the lemon curd and the skillet in that color. All and all a great shopping experience. Especially compared next to the next store I went next with my $5 of $25 Saturday coupon. read more

This ALDI location delivers very good value in groceries. The food (especially pantry items, private-labels, and everyday staples) offers strong bang for your buck. The basic store layout and checkout process are efficient, making it ideal for quick trips or budget-conscious shopping. I like I can get in and out fast. Usually all the customers are nice and just getting their list done. Produce is usually good. I like their protein bread choices. Good selection of cheese but not many skim or low fat choices. I like their low fat cottage cheese, sour cream and Greek yogurt. They have low sodium chicken and beef broth. I bring my own grocery bags in and I don't get a cart. I will overload if I get a cart. This location has self checkout. Not all locations have self checkout. Then usually 1 lane that is staffed. There are not many employees working there so if you are looking for higher service levels you might want to go somewhere else. The staff are usually nice. I always check their app before I go. It's a smaller grocery store so they don't carry nearly as much as a Whole Foods, Publix, Walmart, etc. For the price, it's a dependable option that ticks most boxes. It's the grocery store I visit most frequently. read more

I've recently started shopping at this ALDI location and have been well pleased with the selection of produce, pressed juices and seasonal items! The employees have been friendly & helpful and I have not experienced any long lines for checkout. read more

This is my favorite location :) I like the layout of the store and the general vibe of it. I primarily go for the self checkout line though; the location off of morgan road doesn't have self checkout. To each his own of course! This is my fav location for sure though. read more

I don't visit Aldi often but maybe that needs to change. It's a no frills grocery story but it has some great deals and finds. I found some bone broth I like to cook with and I found a peach wine I can't wait to try. I'll definitely be back soon. read more

This is my favorite Aldi in Birmingham. Although it is not well stocked always. Most Aldi's are not. It is the cleanest and has the nicest employees. The employees at Green Springs are scary for lack of a better word. They treat you like an inconvenience and make you feel like you're standing in a soup kitchen. I don't like being told what to do. This one has self check out aisles and kinder employees who don't look as miserable and don't feel the need to talk down at their customers. I can come here 15 mins before closing (annoying I know) but they close at 8pm on the dot. And no one working here scoffs at me. Products are always fresh and store is organized for an Aldi. My biggest love is their greeting cards, chocolates and sparkling drinks. They make for a lovely inexpensive way to brighten up someone's day. They're great quality but with the Aldi price. read more

I have blended emotions on Aldi. On one hand, I would describe them as the Odd Lots of supermarkets, where they offer certain items at great prices to offer a more price conscious brand than what you can find at other supermarkets. This is good and bad. Some of these items are very good and some of these items, well, they are just at a better price point. I also have a few issues concerning Aldi's efficiency practices. There is no phone so if you need to call the store, well, there is no calling the store. They offer no bags, so be ready to carry it out in your arms or bring a few bags. They often don't have enough people on hand so lines build up. This location is relatively new and located in a growing shopping plaza, so that is an added plus. So there are pros and cons. They do offer some good deals and have several German items (they are after all a German based company). But thise annoying efficiency practices. Is it worth heading over there? To me the answer is a resounding yes. I guess the only way you will find out is to check it out yourself. read more

This Aldi is a little more "upscale" than other local Aldi layouts. It has more of a feel of it's sister chain (TJ's). That said, I think there is a little more underutilized space than in their other local stores. But the premise is still the same, and they still offer all the same great finds as any other one in town. But as it is, shopping this Aldi location can be refreshing. It almost always smells of flowers when you walk in, and the openness of the layout is relaxing. I usually only get to go to this one when my closer stores are out of something in the ad, or I'm in the area. It becomes my "treat" to myself to visit. read more

I was so in love with this store. Perhaps it's because it's so new and shiny. It's by far the prettiest and largest Aldi's that I've visited. It's conveniently located on HWY 150, near the I459 overpass. There was a large fresh produce section, that is sure to impress. Unfortunately, most of the shelves in the home goods section were bare. I chalked this up to everyone flocking into the new, fancygrocery/ home good store and buying up all if the deals. I definitely plan to visit again. read more

So this is one of the newest Aldis in Birmingham. I come here all the time at different times of the day. Good points: very spacious compared to other stores and very clean Bad points: super busy and often out of produce at the end of the day Get there early and make sure you have a list and some bags. Most of the time there is someone handing you a cart with the quarter in them so just pass on the favor. While aldis does not have a wide item selection - this one has more than others! ALDI at Stadium Trace is a go to for us in our way to work. This is a relatively new store. Very spacious and always clean. Lots of choices for produce and meats at a descent price. And they always have your staples to stock your pantry. The larger grocery chains need to take a hint from ALDI, they receive a truck daily to restock. Staff is always pleasant and helpful. Couldn't ask for better! read more

When this was being built my wife was wondering why the community needed it . Now it's her go to. Aldi has incredible prices and their cheese selection is the best and best prices too. Many of the products are re badged under their brand but it is easy to determine what brand they really are but for half the price. Good fruit, veggies and herbs are plentiful. Frozen section has good unique choices and ice cream. One thing we'd like to see improve is the selection of meats. read more

Love this place! It has been a game changer for my "only like to eat out self". This is the one grocery store in the area where I can quickly run in and out for just a few things. I have a few staples such as meat, cheese, chips and milk. Other things catch my eye and everything I have ventured to try has been good. I like that there's usually some new and different and they are always first to get some trendy new products. The store is always clean, well stocked, and service is friendly. As with all Aldis you need a quarter to borrow a grocery cart and you have to use empty boxes from the store or buy/bring your own bags. I like doing small trips to get a few things by hand and head straight home. read more

All Aldis are great stores but this particular location is a winner for me. Wonderful fresh veggies, shelves are fully stocked with great assortments of products, meats fish chicken salmon are fantastic. I can always find everything on my list at this store. Employees are always friendly and 9 out of 10 times a customer hands off a shopping cart and pays that quarter forward so this store is like a friendly neighborhood market. I'm always impressed by how clean and organized this location is! Especially considering the traffic that must come through here being in such a convenient spot in Hoover. I'm a pick my own produce lover and I always leave with a cart full of veggies. I also love perusing their aisles for anything that catches my fancy like this weekend it was roasted veggie pesto - do I know how I'm going to eat that...No but I think it will be cute in my pantry until I figure it out LOL. I also discovered the non grocery Aldi finds! I always skipped these aisles thinking what could they possibly have that I would want to buy from a grocery?! Dayuuummmm I was wrong!! Now it's hard to not come through these aisles first instead of the groceries!!!! I've picked up sooo many treasures and everything is soo affordable! I always pick up a candle or two, I've gotten a $7 clothing rack, tons of garden tools and home goods and gadgets! It is so worth a look! This is probably my fav Saturday morning pass time! This location is well stocked and organized! We always stock up on canned goods and nuts when we go! Great prices! Remember to take a quarter for a grocery cart, but one of the very nice cashiers told me if a customer ever forgets, just come ask to borrow one! Today, in the midst of Covid-19, they had everything I needed. We went around 3:00pm and they had most things they normally would. Limit on bread and canned goods being enforced, but I was pleasantly surprised with what a great selection they had today! Produce looked fresh today as well! read more

This Aldi is so clean and very well organized. They have the best prices on fruit and vegetables! They have blackberries and raspberries for only $1 and watermelons for $4. They have a wider range of cheeses than I expected they would as well. I am a professional chef so I like stores with a lot of variety. I do the bulk of my grocery shopping here. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Their bathrooms are super clean as well. No need to ever go back to Walmart or target! And you can really help the planet by shopping here bc they are bagless! So bring a box and stock up! read more
