The farmers market is in the parking lot of the civic center. It's a great location near the downtown Holland area. But it lacks the size and overall selection that this one has. I try to buy as much as possible off my list here. Prices are always better than normal grocery. We buy 30-35 items every time we're here and haven't spent more than $60. If you're new to Aldi there are some things you should know. One of the biggest is to bring a quarter for the carts. You get the quarter back though. Another is that you should bring your own bags. They have bags here but you do have to pay a small price. Another thing about this Aldi in particular is that I always run into staff that are knowledgeable about the store and where to find things. I will continue to do as much shopping here as I can and I encourage you, your friends, your dog, and your friends dog to do the same.

The menu is pretty simple -- choose your toastie (they have a handful of curated options), pick half or full sandwich, choose your bread, choose your side (chips, pickle, or bread), and then add a cup or a bowl of soup. All the options sounded delicious but I'm a savory person, always, so i got the Mama Mia, which has two kinds of cheese, pesto, and tomato. I went with the recommended Italian bread, and I added a cup of the tomato bisque, which is self-serve. They also had chicken pot pie and minestrone. My sandwich was done quickly and looked delicious -- super cheesy and perfectly toasted (aka it didn't destroy the roof of my mouth). The pesto and tomato were great additions, and dunking it in the soup was so fun and tasty. I loved this lunch so much and I wish they would open a location in Grand Rapids! I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town.
