I have really become such a fan of Aldi over the years! During the holidays, they always have such great items for home decor or gift giving and the snacks and chocolates are perfect for a little holiday party! I went here about a week ago and spent a ton of time in their "fun aisle" as I call it and I picked up some really great holiday decor! A cookie jar, some holiday themed serving plates, a gingerbread candle and so much more! Yes, I also picked up some produce, snacks, baking supplies, milk and eggs while I was out so this trip was totally a good one! I was not even paying attention to how full my cart was until it was time to check out. Luckily, they also have a self check out now, so no one else needed to see all the stuff I purchased. I came during an off peak time. I headed right to the Aisle of Deals, in search of possible gifts. The deals were well stocked today and popping! I spent over an hour there today, and it was a hit on my bank account, but I felt good since I got some gifts. I was pleasantly surprised at all that I found today. Then of course I picked up a few groceries too. There were stockers filling holes in where things were emptied. Even though there were not a ton of people shopping then, people were pleasant to each other. There was definitely a Christmas feel in the air! read more

Always love saving money at Aldi, and now I can save time with self checkout. I still prefer using the checkers when I have a cart full; they are so darn quick! But, the self scan is nice option if I just need a couple of items. Aldi has affordable and fresh products that I use daily. Must have great inventory control; I've never gotten an expired item at Aldi. Which has not been my experience at some of the other grocery chains. read more

I supported this location twice a month for almost 6 months, with my last visit being surprisingly my only time shopping alone in awhile turned uncomfortable. I forgot my plastic bags so I got an alternative route using the boxes. I pack my things specifically so I can pull out scan and put back instead of it being tossed all in the cart being damaged. I was scanning my items at self checkout, on my 4th box that was about to fall so I stop and put them on the rack. A lady stopped me and asked if "did you scan everything in that box" I turn to say "no the one above was about to cave in" so I go back to scanning while she's just standing there then decides to say "what about the syrup, flour and oil" I said " what box is it let me check" I scroll up and what do you know? I did scan all THREE. "You're just using boxes we have to check" so She stood and watched me from a far the entire time from walking up until I paid the $400 as I regularly do. & no it's not the woman you guys always have working she was middle aged blonde hair with uptight attitude read more

I've been to lots of Aldi Stores and I will say this one seems very small with limited products and produce. The parking lot is large, but rough and uneven. The carts cost a quarter and there is nobody cleaning them between users. While hand sanitizer was available at the front door, absolutely no disinfectant wipes. Customers were wearing masks and floors are clearly marked for directions although few people seemed to follow the signage. Maybe it was too close to Christmas for people to pay attention. I was there to purchase ingredients to make charcuterie boards for three different holiday parties. Aldi has a great selection of cheeses, including some really nice ones. The goat cheese rolls covered with cranberries or blueberries are very good! I also purchased thinly sliced ham and chicken that rolls up nicely for display. Dried salami, pepperoni, and summer sausage rounded out the meats. I also found three different types of olives, crackers, crisp bread and toast rounds. I purchased fresh fruit for a decorative fruit tray and fruit salad for the holidays. Some of the apples were bruised, some of the pomegranate seeds were brown and at least one cutie was already rotten. The pineapples, blueberries, huge green grapes and strawberries were perfect. All at an amazing low price. Remember to bring a quarter for the cart and your own bags for your purchases. read more

This has to be the cleanest, most well stocked ALDIs that I've every shopped. the two employees ( only two) were working so hard, between stocking, running the register and answering questions. I wanted them to be recognized for their hard work ethic. It so hard to come by good customer service, i so appreciated them. read more

I can stay on budget at Aldi's and not skimp on flavor. I so appreciate the quick and accurate checkout no matter which line I get in. And the cashiers are friendly and helpful instead of sighing or getting grumpy, when I insert my card backward and it doesn't work. I will continue to shop here whenever I can. read more

Produce was terrible looking, I asked if there was anymore white onions in back and he said there is nothing kept in stock an that they just came in that morning, 4 bags on shelf rotten, he basically told me they come in that way. read more

Purchased produce at Aldi's in Mehlville. Of the 6 clamshells of produce I purchased, 4 had to be thrown away when I returned home due to mold covering the produce that could not be seen when I inspected it in the store. This store has badly arranged so that you have to wait for three other shoppers to move before you can get to a shelf or case to look at what you need to buy. After years of buying at Aldi's and accumulating a list of what not to buy because of spoiled food I am going to have to stop shopping there. read more

This place used to be the butt of so many jokes. The food was just terrible and I was always embarassed to have this stuff in my house when I had friends sleep over as a child. I don't know if I have just gotten over looking cool by having name brand stuff in my house, or if the super cheap prices have spoken to my adulthood frugality, but I have gained a new appreciation for Aldi's. This is one of the best places to shop for staple foods. I probably wouldn't ever buy fresh fruit or veggies here, but if you are willing to make a few stops, you can save a ton of money buying your canned goods and other staples here. I get a lot of stuff like frozen pizza and other frozen meals here. They generally run about 3/4 of the price they would be for the same type of meal at Dierberg's. Also, there's not really any organic selection, but it seems like the choices are slowly improving. I don't know if this is a result of combining with Trader Joe's or what, but I know this place has improved and if I have time to hit two grocery stores (or a farmer's market) during the week, you better believe one of the places I am going to hit up is Aldi's. It's just too cheap not to go to stock up. read more

When I walked into this particular store, I was a little disoriented because it's the exact opposite of the Aldi store in Maplewood where I usually go. With that said, this store is exactly reversed to the one in Maplewood so that everything is the same but flipped flopped as to where things are...or at least, to me, that's how it felt. But that aside, it's just like all the other stores as far as merchandise, and their products that they offer in each department. If you like Aldi stores, you will like this one. The prices are comparable to the other Aldi stores, and when it comes to money and buying food, I like that. If you are in the area, need to go grocery shopping, check it out. You might like it enough to become a regular. read more

I am writing hoping that others will list their faves. Let's get over the fact that it's ALDI'S. Times are tough, the fact is this is where we shop now to get good deals. Aldi's is great. Let's go down the aisle. The chocolate, Winking Owl $2.99 Cabernet and Pinot Grigio is good.Chips, salsa, potato chips, cookies, salad dressings, milk, eggs, cream cheese, cheese, yogurt, Romaine lettuce, roast beef deli meat, spiral cut ham for Easter, great. Bread department, great. Ice cream dept. (the drum sticks!) really good. Batter coated chicken breasts in a bag, awesome. Vegetables are great, I don't buy products grown in Mexico though. Pizzas good, not great. Taco seasoning, taco shells, tortillas etc great. Jellies, peanut butter, good. Frozen fish is good. Please tell me your favorites at Aldi's. I would appreciate it. read more
