Horrible customer service. Employees pushed carts into me, a disabled person, multiple times throughout my two visits to this location with no apology. The red headed cashier with glasses was incredibly rude and snappy. I watched the cashier click the cash back button when I did not then proceeded to give me $100 in cash that I did not ask for and refused to void the transaction. I rarely leave reviews, let alone a negative one, but this location has some serious work to do. I love aldi, but not this one. read more

This is probably my favorite Aldi. I so appreciate that I can leave here with a cart FULL of food for my family for about $100. I also love that Aldi is embracing the gluten free population (this includes me), and I don't need to go to a smelly health food store for staples. I gave 4 stars because I think that the produce is still a little questionable (as with most grocery stores), and I get a tad annoyed when I have to try to maneuver a big cart around large pallates of restocking items (you try it- see how easy it is for you with three kids who seem to think that RIGHT NEXT TO THE CART IS THE ONLY PLACE THEY CAN WALK). This is a great place to stock up on pantry staples for the family. Even their special sale items are pretty cool. I just snagged a fan for $10 here last week! Fan + cheese? In one store! Traveling brings me to many restaurants and when I need to shop, I tend to ask locals where they go to procure. While in MI, there is Walmart--not a chance, Meijer who is a tough local Walmart competitor and there is Aldi. Aldi is undoubtedly among the top few shopping experiences I have had the pleasure to enjoy in a good while. You pay .25 cents for a shopping cart and large bags are .05 or .06 (paper or plastic) that you fill yourself, on a shelf provided a few paces from the register. Prices were outstanding and the quality was very good. 10Lb Russert potatoes for 2.69, 20oz pasta sauces imported from Italy (Priano) 1.49 goat cheese, Havarti smoked Guda 8-12oz under $3.00. No lines, great prices on wines, unfortunately not a large selection. I purchased 37 irems (chicken breasts-toilet paper-olive oil-pasta-cold cutts) and paid $72.00. I can eat for under 46.00 a day for a month. read more

I'm a fairly new Aldi customer, even though I had friends in college who raved about it. This location is not convenient to my house but I make the trip because it's way better than the Knapp's Corner location. It's bigger, well-organized, and has a better selection. If you've never been to an Aldi, there are some things to know - you pay a 25 cent deposit for a cart which is returned to you when you put it back in the cart area. They don't have any bags, so bring your own or buy reusable bags there. When you go to check out, you'll bag your own groceries from the cart. The variety of items at Aldi is pretty impressive; they have specialty grocery items, a small produce section, home goods, housewares, even seasonal items like potted plants, hanging baskets, outdoor furniture, and grills! Everything at Aldi is super cheap and I feel awesome when I shop there. Check out the Aldi finds section for items that are seasonal or temporary - be sure to stock up if you find something you like in that section since it might not be there the next time. The only issue I have with this Aldi is the customer experience when checking out. There are usually only 1 or 2 cashiers working at any given time when I'm there, and for some reason they all seem kind of grumpy or not that happy to be there. It's not a huge deal but makes me wonder why they don't seem happy, since I love shopping at Aldi! read more

I love Aldi and I have been to many of their locations. As this location is the closest to my home it is the one that I frequent the most. What I like most about Aldi is their return policy. If you have something to return they will gladly refund your money AND give you a replacement. Yesterday I had some cheese that I needed to return because it had started to mold WAY before it's time. It was very easy to get a replacement, no questions asked. Although I am pleased that I got a replacement I have to admit that I will most likely buy my cheese elsewhere as this was not the first time that my cheese has molded earlier than it should. But hey, not everything can be perfect. Aldi has a policy too that if you buy something that you end up not liking they will gladly refund your money.....they do that because they don't want you to be afraid to try something new....they want you to try their brand....that's an awesome deal. I love their prices, I love the odd little things they sell, and I love their friendly staff. My family thinks I am a walking advertisement for Aldi and I have convinced my kids to shop there as well. I am an "Aldian" for life! read more

I stopped into Aldi on my way to Target because I was curious about what it was. I will admit...when I first walked in, I was a bit freaked out. It isn't laid out like your typical grocery store. Furthermore, there was no name-brand anything. (What kind of grocery store doesn't carry Kraft or General Mills or Nabisco?) I left without buying anything and scratched it off of my list of grocery stores. Soon after though, I began to notice a bunch of buzz about Aldi online. Cheap German chocolate! High quality food! Great wine! (I don't drink, but people were fawning.) So, I gave in. I had to give it another shot. My second visit--it was for a snack run--I knew what to expect. Being more open minded, I was actually highly impressed. While their selection is a lot smaller than a typical grocery store, you can still find most, if not all, of your grocery staples there. Furthermore, I was happy to see a few organic and gluten-free items! I was even able to find a lot of stuff without partially-hydrogenated oils, high-fructose corn syrup, and non-pronounceable ingredients. (Side note: I recently read that they plan to remove a bunch of questionable ingredients from their own brands over the course of 2015. Good for you, Aldi!) Ok, look--this isn't Whole Foods. But what it is is a wonderful budget grocery chain with high quality stuff (considering it's a budget grocery chain). It isn't fancy, but, for the money you spend, it's absolutely awesome. I'm very happy to say I've been converted and am now a hardcore Aldi fan! --- Tips for first timers: Bring a quarter for your shopping cart. (Don't worry; you'll get it back when you return it). They don't accept credit cards, only debit and cash. Also, bring your own shopping bags or they'll charge you $0.06/paper bag. And, in an effort to cut costs, you bag your own items after checkout at the counter against the wall. read more

I shop at aldi for almost all of our staples. Their cheese selection is great and I love to look at the "limited time only items". Always seems like there is something new and yummy. A few of our must buys are: mini peppers, carrots, sharp white cheddar, root chips, snack mixes, fruit leather, flavored water, Winking owl wines, mussels, and string cheese! read more

I love Aldi, and this is my favorite location. It's always clean, and well organized. It might be freaky to someone who's new to the store, but it's so wonderful to fill up two big Aldi canvas bags with groceries for $35. Their "gourmet" food isn't even expensive, a bag of greek yogurt drizzled caramel corn is only $2, fair trade coffee is $4. They have organic food, and a gluten free baking section. Any food that shouldn't have gluten, doesn't. So imitation crab meat, nacho chips, pepperoni, beef bouillon, all gluten free (and labeled in case you're worried). Their selection only looks small because they don't have 20 different brands vying for the same shelf. Don't get the boxed macaroni though. Shells and cheese is fine, but the kraft knock off just tastes wrong. Everything else (even the toilet paper) is just as good as the expensive stuff. Note - they don't take credit, debit cards only. Cash is good, and I THINK they take checks. You also need a quarter "deposit" for the grocery cart. That's how they keep the parking lot clean and don't need to hire someone extra to corral all the carts up. read more

If you love good quality ice cream, then Aldi's is the place to purchase! Their Premium brand - with only 5 natural ingredients, is simply awesome!! Both the vanilla and chocolate are excellent! But they HAVE to be the Super Premium brand - they carry other brands. read more

Love the new look of the store. It's very bright and clean. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I'm loving all of the organic choices! They money I save is so worth the stop in here, the only downfall for me is that I still need to make a stop to another store for hair and bathroom products as well as pet products, but like I said, it's very worth the extra stop just for the money I save. Aldi is a major grocery store in Europe and this is just like the ones I've visited in numerous countries. Food had always been good and it's absolutely the place to go for staples, milk and eggs. Every week they have non-food specials at sometimes less than half of what you'd pay at a major retailer (i.e. vinegar & oil dispensers $4.99 Aldi, same ones$13.99 a major store a mile away) Give it a try, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
