Aldi is a good place to shop. Just don't come to this one. This location has some rude cashiers. My cashier today was Tai. Wow surprise, I saw her name in another review. I took a re-usable bag with me and decided to buy a new one. I put the bag I was purchasing on the conveyor belt to pay for it and kept the old one with me. She asks me "is that a new bag?" Really? you can tell it's an old bag. I reply "I brought this one" she the. Says "oh just checking". Right... this is the only location I've been asked this. Why would I decide to just pay for one. Essentially she was accusing me of trying to steal. This is not the first unpleasant experience here either. Also, this Aldi is not sanitizing their shopping carts anymore. I went to the Aldi in Westminster a week ago and they are still sanitizing. That location has really good staff. Night and Day. read more

Aldi will always get 5 stars from me because of the variety of groceries they have! But regarding customer service, I have no idea why i'm seeing TAI and JORDAN brought up in negative reviews! I go to this aldi almost every day and whenever i come in i always look to see if either jordan or tai are at the registers because they are always spark conversations and it's super fun to interact with them. One time, I had to look for vegan options and even though Jordan was busy at the register, she managed to help me find these delicious coconut crisps. Tai always gives me a laugh every time i check our with her. They're both fast workers and they make my aldi experience that much more enjoyable! read more

Nice store, but whoever the cashier was this morning 12/13/17 9:00am ruined it for me. The cashier was scanning everything so fast, it was like she was on a timer. I asked if she could price check an item and she gave me a rude response of "the price was there". Well I still want a price check wtf? Because she was scanning everything so fast she gave me the wrong total, then corrected herself. Then she overcharged me for an item, then corrected herself. I mean, just take your time and you won't make all these mistakes. Since I didn't grab a cart, she put my stuff in a cart. Then she proceeded to put the next persons stuff on the same cart before I was done grabbing my stuff. I will not return, my blood pressure will thank me. read more

This Aldi is much bigger than the Fountain Valley one! It has more selection and meats are often marked down. Some of the negative reviews here are just funny... Aldi is known for a couple things that people are complaining about, when it is really by design: - Quarter for cart: this is so you will put back the cart yourself so they can hire less staff to keep prices low - Non-brand name products: it's the same concept as trader Joe's... In fact, Aldi and TJ are both owned by the same people. I actually like just having one kind of anything which saves me time from picking - Bagging your own groceries: again this is by design.. less staff, cheaper prices I will keep shopping here since prices are low even without waiting for sales, and quality is stellar. read more

This is a very good place for produce, and packaged goods and frozen items You do your own bagging but that is part of the reason for savings! Recommend them highly read more

This is my very favorite Aldis! They have all the veggies and fruits right in front as I enter and I love it!! Thai was so helpful and passionate about her work. I highly recommend this location! read more

I wish I could give this store a 0 star rating. These stores are few and far between but I went there anyway for $.89 strawberries only to be told "some guy came and took them all this morning" and no I can't get a rain check "because its a produce pick item of the week and they'll have new items next week." Thats great, I needed the strawberries and drove kinda far to waste my time, gas, haul three kids, to return without even a rain check. The weekly ad doesn't even say limited quantaties, or while supplies last. I will not recommend anyone waste their time going to this store since customer service is non existent. read more

I love this place. Just ignore the other people who gave reviews. They don't know the difference between up and down. If you want to save some serious cash, shop here. If not, your bank account will be upset. read more

I'm here nearly every week and always have a positive experience! The store is clean and always has things that I didn't think I needed or wanted! Prices are so reasonable. I had plenty of time to shop when I arrived 20 minutes before closing, but I had to take a quick pass first so I headed to the bathroom. Unfortunately I was told the bathroom was closed which left me two options. Shop and pee in my pants on accident (I'm a mom so it happens ) or leave. So I left ‍ I mean why would I want to spend money on a place where I can't even do it comfortably? Eh. Certainly not for me! read more

I was shaken up and taken back by how Manager Heidi at the Garden Grove Store #32 handled a situation. This Aldi, is my primary "Go To" store, that is close to my house, and where I work, I shop here all the time, and I have never had a problem, until today. I tried sticking up, and supporting an employee whom always had a great and helpful personality every time I go into Aldi. I can't remember her name, but she is Hispanic, and she had curly, wavy hair. This employee saw a customer acting erratic, and having a hard time, finding what she was looking for, the employee calmly approached this customer, asking her if she needed assistance, the customers rudely responded to the employee to leave her alone, to stop bugging her, instead of just kindly saying, "No Thank You." The employee quietly walked away, and finished doing her work on the isle across the way. A few minutes later, I witnessed this same erratic customer speaking with Manager: Heidi, and explaining pure lies of how the employee was bugging her and was rude, when again, that employee was only trying to help this customer. After this conversation ended with this customer, and Manager Heidi, I saw Heidi quickly walk that employee to the back. I just couldn't leave the store without expressing what I witnessed from the beginning till the end, so, I followed, and I explained to Heidi, that I witness the whole interaction between the kind employee, and the erratic customer who lied, and tried to ruin the good reputation of that employee. I was taken back and unimpressed of how Heidi responded to me trying to stick up for her own employee. Heidi was dismissive with me, she was rude, unprofessional, and was not willing to listen to me. It was important for me to share what I witnessed before, she reprimanded her Employee that did everything right, and nothing wrong. Heidi said, that she wanted to speak with her employee first and then speak with me, I said that I witnessed everything, Heidi rudely, replied that she was on her lunch break, I was shaken and in shock with how Manager Heidi was treating me, I mentioned to her that I was going to speak with corporate, she ignored me, and shut the door, without a care in the world. As I was shopping, as Heidi was walking past me, she, again said to me, that she had to speak with her employee first, she said this in a loud and unprofessional manner. I replied, that I would feel more comfortable if this issue was not broadcasted loud in front of other customers, if we can talk privately in the back, Heidi, loudly said that she was not broadcasting anything, in an argumentative type tone. I was still so taken back, and shakened up, and mentioned that I was uncomfortable with this conversation, that I was going to take this up with corporate, she walked away, and muttered something under her breadth. Prior, when I witnessed that erratic customer complaining to Heidi, Heidi gave this customer her undevided attention, and pro-actively listened and, when I approached Heidi, she just made me feel like I was annoying her, and she wanted me to go away. I am Hispanic, and this customer that Heidi gave her undevided attention to, was Caucasian, I'm not sure, if maybe because I was Hispanic, that Heidi did not want to give me her undevided attention...I just didn't know what to think. I dont feel comfortable coming back to this store, and that is such a horrible feeling. I left the store feeling frustrated and I felt that I was discriminated against because of my race. read more

Two stars because 2x I purchased spoiled food. You have to keep paper receipt for a refund or credit. It's clearly your brand and product.

Great grocery store with amazing prices on their products. But this Heidi employee at the register was very rude to a customer who was Hispanic just because she got 23 lemons instead of 20. I understand there's a limit to certain produce you can buy but you don't have to be so rude about it and give attitude. Horrible customer service. read more

Awful experience!! I had a few items and bought one bag for my groceries, as the checker put my items in a cart she had next to her, I went to take the cart to the shelf area where another customer was putting his groceries in bags. The EXTREMELY RUDE checker grabbed and pulled the cart from me saying "It was her cart, you need to take your items from here and bag them over there" I said " That was really rude, to grab the cart like that I didn't know about your cart policy and she made some comments. I called for a manager, told her what happened and she explained the cart policy but never apologize. I will NEVER shop at ALDI again!! This ALDI store is 9901 Chapman in Garden Grove read more

Went in to pick up some essentials-- I was in a rush. I usually go to the Aldi in Anaheim but found myself at this location and wanted to be in and out as quick as possible. I had some trouble finding where a specific item was until an employee named Elizabeth kindly helped me find what I needed. She was also patient and very helpful in helping me locate a few other items. Customer service is terrible at the Anaheim location-- I will be switching to the location in GG now. read more

I typically shop at Aldi 1-3 times per week. I've never had a bad experience till last week. This employee with short blonde hair, she's rude as f. My dad has a slight language barrier but 98.9% of the time he is able to communicate. Her response to him was rude, she is not very personable, and she obviously didn't realize that I was there with him, until I responded to her and she looked a little shocked. read more

My rating is based solely on employee interaction. The store itself is fine. I accidentally loaded my items on the conveyor belt of a closed register. There was a checker helping a customer ahead of me and I did not realize the number light was off. And he did not say anything until after I unloaded my items. He graciously checked me out. But in the meantime, an employee I think is the manager, we will call her "karen", came over huffing and puffing, rolling her eyes and mumbling under her breath that his stand was clearly closed. I actually apologized multiple times but she would not hear it. I know we are all a little stressed, but why make a big deal out of something so small. I guess some people just like being angry and making sure others know it. So my advice is don't accidentally get out of line at this store or she will let you hear about it. read more

worst service .cashier didn't greet or even look up the whole time ..! bianca was extremely rude when i asked a question and spoke to me with great disgust as if im interrupting her day . ask to speak with manager and she refused to call for a manager . great disappointment. read more

ALDI has pretty good bargains but they're day manager is selective to who he greets in the store. He passed directly by my friend and me never acknowledge either of us. Clean and friendly store. 1st time there and was surprised. The cashier was very friendly and sweet.

First experience here and it was awful! There's a rude worker who helped us. She has short blue hair. When she was ringing up the person in front of us, the guy put all his yogurts neatly in a bag and she took them out one by one and was tossing them into the cart after she scans them. Doesn't even bother to carefully set it down or put it back in the bag. Then when it was our turn, not a single hi or anything. She scanned it and tossed it in the same cart that the guy before us was still putting his yogurt BACK into the bag that she threw out. Either fire her or train your workers to have better customer service! First and last time here. read more

The store appears clean but is it? They allow dirty reusable bags in there store even though most grocery stores are not allowing them They insist on charging for bags because profit is more important than peoples health. There was no one sanitizing carts for customer use. The one employee had her mask around her neck not over her face. Next shopping trip will be at a store that cares about me not just profits read more

First time there today. Never again! Have to pay a quarter for a shopping cart. Suppose you don't have a quarter. Store didn't have most of the items shown in their ads. Have to bag your own purchases. Very disappointed! Never again. read more

I don't usually write review for businesses, especially small/ local ones as I'd like to support them, but I have to today. Also I know there are 2 kinds of reviews, either you have a horrible experience or an extremely satisfied one, well this one is one for my disappointment. My mom had a coupon thingy for the grocery here so we went to try out. Cart situation is already a turn off but I didn't mind much since we were in for a quick/ small/ short grocery trip. Also I think it's a good idea for them to do so because it raises people's manner/ awareness/ standard as to not leave their carts literally everywhere in the parking lot. But we didn't have any coin in hand so we just went in without a cart. The produce/ merchandise in there is not bad, quite a variety but private brands/ labels, not too bad. Again, we were in for a short trip, so I just got what I needed and left. Customer service, most fucked up part for this, hence I'm giving this such a review. The girl named Hennesys helped us. Line was not too long, but there were only 2 open cashiers, no self checkout so everyone had to wait in line. When it's our turn, I was packing our stuffs in bags when my mom was paying and our total was $23.47, she wanted to give the employee her coins so she can get rid of them in her wallet. Hennesys over here was trying to outsmart us and huff and puff, that's a shitty attitude by the way. I told her to hold on since my mom wants to give her exact changes, she rushed us and said she would have to give us back $1.53 anyways. First of all, how stupid are you, Hennesys? We said we wanted to get rid of the coins my mom had, so why would we want your $.53 back? More coins for us? So I explained to her one more time that my mom wants to give her exact change. Then when my mom was counting the change, she huffed and puffed even more obvious and rushed her so she ended up giving her $.50, she gave us back our change ($1.03) at this point, then told me that I can finish packing on the side, in their cart but she will need the cart back (we didn't use a cart, when they checkout for you, there was no where to put the stuffs in so she put it in an empty cart next to her cashier). I didn't say anything and just quickly packed our stuffs. Then she was on to help another lady behind us. When I was done, me and my mom were standing there cause we want to at least put back the cart or acknowledge her that we were done, she looked at me and said in uncomfortable manner "I need the cart back." Why would I want your damn cart anyways? Seriously, your attitude is shit. Can't believe it. You are one of the very limited employees that work there, you are the face of Aldi for all we know, and that is how you treat your customers? Even if your grocery is dirt cheap or given free, no one wants to deal with such attitude. We go to do grocery, not to be rush, and huff and puff. No one gives a shit about your cart, no one wants it, no one will take it, we were waiting because we respect you as a person, as an employee, we could of left it there, in the middle of the walkway and left. All and all, that was the last straw for me. I didn't expect to go to a brand new open grocery store to get attitudes and all of this treatment. Do you think you are better than other people? Because I'd beg your pardon any day. Lastly, after we left, I wanted to ask who she was, and found out the guy that stand outside doesn't work for Aldi directly, he said he is a private contractor so I think it's bad that they don't really care as of stated in some other reviews, they don't get paid to deal with customer's dissatisfaction of the cart situation, they were there to instruct people on that regard only. I'm not going to come back if nothing be done with this situation. You guys are new, train your people basic customer services. We are your customers and could be potential return customers, our friends, relatives, coworkers, family would be too, you lose one but you don't just lose one. What she did wrong was to give my mom attitude. I don't let that go, any time of the day, any day of that matter. Peace. read more

I love Aldi. Great food, great prices and the model of the store is just so user friendly. You place a quarter in the cart, you take out the cart and go shop. When you are done, you put back the cart, you get back your quarter, simple. I don't understand why people are having a hard time with this concept. It eliminates carts from being all over the parking lot, it eliminates extra workers to field these carts, which reduces their prices and pass the savings on to you! Their produce prices are amazing! If you don't like Aldi, you are crazy! read more

I will never ever shop here again . I bought some produce and bread along with other things and after I checked out I stepped to the side to bag my items and I saw 4 bugs inside of my head of lettuce and two flying bugs inside my tied up bread bag .... I instantly asked for a manager and wanted a refund on all my food !!!!! That is sick and disgusting. Plus a store just opened and one register open with the line to the middle of the store.... I will never shop here again . That is so unsanitary for especially bugs flying inside the bread bag!!!!! read more

I was super excited to finally have a local grocery store that is much closer than the Stater Bros on Magnolia. However I was disappointed with the cart situation. I didn't have a quarter handy and I had planned to buy at least enough to fill my 2 big reusable bags. Well when I realized you have to make a deposit I turned around and said out to the 2 employees that were standing close by sort of monitoring the carts "oh you have to put a quarter in? I already don't like this store". They didn't say anything or try to explain to me their system matter of fact the guy just laughed and it seemed he was laughing at me not with me... ass. As for the prices they look reasonable but I really buy much since I didn't have a cart. Meat prices and quality look like WALMART and I'm not a fan of brands I don't recognize. I didn't think the selection was very good and I'm not sure this location is going to do well because we have a lot of different cultures here and I don't see that this store caters to our neighborhood. And I don't think the cart thing is gonna fly here. Time will tell but I'll be going back to my usual spots instead. read more

We love Aldi's!! Good selection of produce at great prices. You can always find a products that are great to try!

This Aldi store has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. One of the workers named Elizabeth tried to act like the celery was hers and wouldn't sell it to me and my friends. She said it was 3 per household and assumed we were all family because we were all Asian like that's full on racist. We even offered to pay at full price but she still denied to do it. She finally let us get 9, but the damaged has been done. I will report this the corporate office. read more

I like shopping at Aldi, prices are great. Cashiers are usually fast and friendly. My thing is there usually isn't someone around to help when you can't find a product. The main reason I'm posting this review is bc I bought a plastic bag with peaches on Sunday, today is Tuesday and the peaches are already looking bad. They are starting to look wrinkled like they are old but they aren't. They haven't even ripened yet. They are still too hard to eat. When I bought them they looked fine, I check my produce before putting it in my cart to make sure it's not old, squishy or moldy. read more
