Thank You Thursday Review…read more Evergreen Park Farmers Market is one of my favorite places.  Open Thursdays from 7 am to 1 pm -  May thru October, I sure miss them from November thru April! My favorite vendor is Dotson Farm, where I purchase herbs and flowers for my garden in May/June. A variety of vegetables are enjoyed throughout the season. Glad that I can bump this Aldi up a few stars.  I haven't been here in nearly two years and did not…read morenotice any unpleasant odors on this visit on 6/17 /21.  Overall, the store looked (and smelled) clean.  It has been remodeled and now looks similar to other Aldi stores that have been remodeled in recent years.  The produce section is the first thing you now encounter as you enter this remodeled store.  I don't know who came up with the bright idea to put the produce section first but I guess they never shopped at Aldi when it is busy.  Otherwise, they would have realized that some shoppers seem to take a lot of time picking out their produce and can block that first aisle as you walk in the store.  Fortunately, it was not busy the day that I was shopping at this store and I was able to enter the store with ease.  I was able to find all of the food products that I wanted, however, some of the advertised "Aldi Finds" were not to be found.  It was the second day of the sale and the section looked pretty empty.  My friend noticed a sign that indicated that they didn't have some of the advertised items.  I thought I might have better luck here than the Aldi near my house.  Instead, this Aldi seemed to have even less!  If you want something in particular, you might want to call to find out which Aldi (if any!) near you might carry the Aldi Find.  I usually shop at this Aldi on Thursday mornings after going to the Evergreen Park Farmers Market just south of the Aldi.  The store is usually not too busy on Thursday mornings, so shopping is easier and check out is pretty quick. New to Aldi?  You need a quarter for the cart, which you will get back when you return the cart.  Carts are outside near store entrance.  Sign up for emails to know what seasonal/weekly food items are on sale and what "Aldi Finds" you might be able to find.  These include garden items, cooking items, toys, clothes, office items, pet products, and more.  Parking at this Aldi to the east and north of the building.  Cashiers/customer service is usually very good.  Although I am not happy with Aldi's placement of the produce section or the recent shortage of Aldi Finds, Aldi is still my favorite grocery store and this Evergreen Park Aldi is a good place to shop once again!

The main reason I wanted to submit a review of this store is due to wonderful customer service. I met Katie today and can immediately tell she knew her stuff. But the rock star of my first visit was Sharon. Talk about someone who is very kind, knowledgable, passionate, and extremely thorough with explaining in a way to allow you to make the best decision for your situation, she covers all bases. She provided names of other staff members to ask for on my next visit as she is only in the store a couple days a week. I saw the owner, also providing focused customer service to someone. People, please understand, doctors, especially new young doctors are not being trained to fix your medical issues, but only to provide medication to help you live with your health issues. My new doctor's office is a couple blocks from Southtown Health Foods and I know for a fact, after every doctor visit will be followed with a visit to Southtown. Although I came in to ask about sea moss and other herbs, I think I may also consider doing my grocery shopping here as well, and yes, try a smoothie on next visit. Any store can have a vast amount of product, but the knowledge and kind customer care is what will keep me coming back to Southtown from now on. Southtown Health Foods has a pretty okay variety. Maybe is more expensive than it should be but the service is usually better than expected. They're known for the juice bar as well as produce and supplements. Coming here on a weekend isn't recommended because it's usually crazy. It's got pretty limited hours because it closes early. The only bad thing about it other than the high prices. Even so there were a few good finds. It's about $10 for a cup of the fresh juice which they make on site. Certainly it's excellent. The prices are just too much at times. You can find a few okay prices on vitamins. It's about $12 for certain supplements. There's also a pretty great selection of vegan items like pies and other things. Has a lot of things worth looking around for here. It's closed Sundays. There's lots of foods and supplements for vegans and vegetarians.

I was pleasantly surprised that the owner was actually present and made me the most delicious Vanilla Matcha Latte and left me a word of affirmation on my cup! She has excellent customer service, and is an outstanding barista. I was looking for Matcha but next time I'll try her smoothies. I would enjoy sitting in this atmosphere for quiet and peace. The owner informed me that they also have classes for fitness in addition to healthy menu options. I will certainly be back! Please go check them out
