Aldi is the best grocery store around! The prices are ridiculously affordable! The store is very organized and well stocked! The staff is always very friendly and will answer any questions you have. The prices here no other grocery store can compare. Some great deals I found were 2lb bag of fish for $5. 18 pack of tampax pearl for $3. Pack of 20 tea bags for 99cents. Blackberries 89cents. Strawberries 85cents. Canned vegetables between 49-64cents. Full rack of pork ribs $5. Seasonings 99cents. All of the food always looks so fresh. Overall the prices here are incredible. Easily affordable. The prices can't be beat. They have everything you can think of plus more. I would recommend everyone to check out this store if you like to save money and find great deals!

    Better than Pizza Time's pizza...

If the Eastern-Bloc countries had a Trader Joe's this would be it. It's cold, sterile, and has cheap ass flooring.. They have standard items, but not deep in selection. If there's a sauce you want you're lucky if they have more than two different styles of that sauce. Remember it's the basics here, and most are in generic boring packaging (unlike Trader Joe's which sells the same stuff but in fancy packages with enticing labeling). Prices are generally good so ALDI is a fine option. - good pizza - good sausages - good cookies

I am elated that Aldi opened this new store in Escondido. We have been going to the first store but this new one is less than ten minutes from our place and we can resume our weekly visits to Aldi's, buying all our staple items here before proceeding to other stores for the balance. When we first started doing this our grocery bill went down by over a third. Moving to RB we were unable to keep this up because of the distance. This location will save us quite a few bucks. The store itself is great. Larger than several Aldi's I have seen over the years. It is very well organized. The parking lot is fairly large. They have folks greeting you at the shopping carts, a sign that they feel they need to orient people to the Aldi way of taking and returning carts. This worked very well. The store also has a monitor up displaying its advanced solar energy generation unit on the roof. It shows its anticipated energy savings and the reduced carbon footprint from this store. Very cool. Pricing is the usual Aldi value - you just can't beat it.

Excited to have another grocer in the neighborhood. There's nothing wrong with competition... everybody wins! Progress with construction... all the lights are on and fixtures are installed. If it's like its other stores such as Vista, people will love Aldi. Welcome to Escondido! Now time for some cheap eggs and milk!

I initially was supposed to go to Bev-Mo to get some wine but I ended up here first to check em' out. I was pleasantly surprised. When you first get a shopping cart you gotta deposit a quarter and then when you return it you get it back. Ingenious idea ? so you don't steal it?? and or collateral?!! IDK!!! Lol anyways- the store is clean, organized like a warehouse style grocery store. They have their own brand or generic with some name brand goods. I was lucky that they stocked the wine close to the front entrance- just like that I saw what I was looking for and grabbed -4 Winking Owl's for less than 3 bucks a bottle. And... drum roll please.... the wine is actually pretty good! All of them. They have plenty of selection too. I didn't get Chardonnay, Sangria, Sweet Red, Pino Grigio but that's for next time! They are a great deal and no one would even know they are a 2 Buck Chuck or a 2 Dolla Holla ( unless you tell them-:) ** so let's just keep it on the hush-hush. It'll be our little Yelpers secret!! Shhh.. lol. Cheers to Winking Owl Wine! Did I go it to Bev Mo after you ask ?? Nope! I didn't need to anymore:)

I love this store! The seasonal items are always fun, and the prices are hard to beat, especially on produce and meat.

They pretty much had 50% less apples than they did last year so they were trying very hard to get all these apples into our bags and home safely for our own apple cobbler and apple pie. We were able to fill up three bag bags of apples, small apples, but still very flavorful , Pippin and Jonathan's and some empires .. They do allow service dogs . Super fun activity however we were there on October 4 th Honestly, I think the season would probably be about done by now .. there's plenty to do and Julian. They have dirt parking. They estimate that the bag holds 6-7 lbs of apples. When we went they said there were 5 apple varieties but three of them were pretty picked through. This was the 4th day they were open for the season. It is a pretty small apple orchard. That being said, we were able to get a full bag although a lot of apples were small or ones that looked nice only turned out to have wormholes in them. Lots of tossed apples on the ground too. Parking is all in one area now which is better than previous years where there were multiple. Some food and drinks vendors right outside the entrance. They don't sell apple cider or apple cider donuts here sadly.

Ok ok, I know what you're going to say, how there's "fruit stand (West)" also down the street which I've been and continue to support but I've found that they only tend to have fruits/veggies when in season or not at all. Also- the West place is a bit too expensive for my taste so thus my excitement when I found this new little place! A couple of older Mexican women (maybe mom and daughter) were listening to the radio, giggling about what they were listening to, when I drove up. The younger of the women shared what they had for sale (also in season stuff) but I was only interested in the avocados. $5 a bag for smaller ones and $1 each for bigger avocados. Most were semi-ripe or hard so can last up to couple of weeks. I paid in cash- unsure they take cards. This looks like a family small owned business so my guess is cash only. But don't quote me on that. They also had fresh honey, cooked nopales in jars, dragon fruit, mangos, cherries and other stuff that I can't think of right now. Great prices! Organic? Probably not but all good with me! Not sure if this is connected to the nursery but it's in the same location. Go support local family farms!

They consistently carry some of the best-quality produce currently available from San Diego and the surrounding areas, thoughtfully curated with real care. Misses are rare, and when something isn't right, they always make it right. What really sets this place apart is the knowledgeable team. They can tell you not just what something is, but where it's from, why it's special, and even how best to prepare it if it's new to you. They know which watermelon varietals are sweetest (and why), which tomatoes are best for different uses, and how to guide you toward the best choice of the day. We also appreciate the simplicity of the space. It's clear the focus is on quality produce rather than unnecessary overhead or décor that doesn't add to flavor or nutrition. We come in knowing our weekly staples, and we always look forward to discovering a surprise treat or seasonal treasure to add to the basket. We recently lived in Spain for a year and deeply miss the fruterías found on every corner, places that genuinely support daily health and well-being. In the U.S., truly good produce can be harder to find, with so much emphasis on mass production and appearance over flavor and nutrition. The Fruit Stand comes as close as we've found to that European produce experience. We're grateful this place exists and grateful for the care they put into what they offer.
