One thing that makes them stand out from other groceries is a big bulk section (think nuts, grains, candies, powders, and coffee beans with its own grinding station). Another is a massive vitamins and supplements area for holistic health fans. One of my favorite items to pick up is their turkey carnitas from the prepackaged deli food area; it's tender and flavorful when heated up and effortlessly works rice and sandwiches :) There's always a dedicated shelf near the produce area for new products that I always end up grabbing a few things from too (This time was a pistachio creme protein shake that actually was amazing!) Definitely use the digital coupons on the Sprouts app to save a bit! The staff were friendly and polite. I'll stop next time I'm in the area!

The staff are friendly and mostly helpful. Sometimes during the day they are slow at refilling the refrigerated prepared foods which can be a bummer. Same with the fruits. The aesthetics of the fruit and vegetable section is nice. The prepared foods - pizza, soup bar, salad bar, etc is constantly stocked and clean. The prices are higher than say Kroger or HEB but some of the products are better tasting and made so I don't always mind paying it out. There is also an Amazon return site there so makes things convenient if you need to return something. Def a staple for the neighborhood.

The store is tiny, maybe 30/40% of the selection you'd expect at a typical Whole Foods. A product that might have four or five options at another location will often have only one or two here. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, and it still has the familiar Whole Foods feel. They have a salad bar and enough of the basics to make a quick grocery run worthwhile. At the same time, it sometimes feels like a huge portion of the store's traffic is people stopping in for Amazon returns. If you come here expecting a small neighborhood market, it works pretty well. If you're planning a full grocery trip and expecting the selection of a normal Whole Foods, though, it can be disappointing. I've experienced their take home Texas barbeque a couple of times, and was excited when my brother let me know that his local H-E-B had a Bayou Boil House (not all do), serving up Louisiana Crawfish boils during the weekend. The stand is located at the front entrance of the store where the carts are located (similarly where a hot dog stand would be if in a Midwestern store). It is manned by two H-E-B employees, with coolers stocked with the already cooked seafood and vegetables. Unfortunately, by the time we arrived an hour before closing (closing at 6pm), they were out of crawfish (would have been $6.97 per pound). Instead we got shrimp (headless and deveined, shell-on for $12.97 per pound), with corn and potatoes ($2.97 per pound), sausage ($7.97 per pound). Snow Crab would have been $16.97, though I never think it is worth it. It is all mixed together in a large durable plastic bag. We brought it back home, and I ended up eating it for dinner and the following breakfast. Everything was really good: nothing was overcooked (i.e. mealy or mushy), the sausage was a good andouille, and the old bay type seasoning was just right. They could definitely elevate it up a couple of notches if replicating a Viet-Cajun sauce, that is very popular in the Houston area. But as it is, definitely a winner...along with their Texas brisket, makes me wish an H-E-B was visitable from where we live.

Example: my wife and I wanted to make a batch of chili, but none of the big boys around here carry coarse-ground beef. Food Town does. And not only that, the man at the meat counter offered to grind any cut of beef I wanted if the ground chuck they had in the case was too fatty for my purposes. That's the kind of service that's hard to find at places like Kroger, where they're as likely to ignore you as they are to offer anything beyond the bare minimum. Food Town's stores aren't glamorous or even that visually appealing, but then again, they don't ask their customers to pay for posh stores through higher prices. Food Town's prices are some of the lowest you will find in the area. We stock the deep freeze with meat a few times a year with runs to Food Town when they have sales on brisket, ribs, and Boston butts. Our local store may not be a showplace, but it is meticulously stocked and cared for. I've never gotten a bad bit of produce from a Food Town store. I certainly have from Kroger, especially in their food delivery. So, all in all, I'm a big fan of these stores. They're local, independently owned, and they seem to actually care about providing customer service to shoppers. These are old-school stores that focus on what matters--good products, good prices, and good service.

Those that have shopped at Trader Joe's, knows that Trader Joe's got some really good product a very diverse variety of groceries. Me and my kids really enjoy there snack isle we always grab few bags of the white cheddar corn puffs and sour cream corn puffs. We also love their green tea lemonade and teas. We also like to get for lunch or dinner the spanakopita spinach and cheese pie the filo dough is so good! They have so many others things to name if you know you know! Also if you see there tote bags mini or big grab them they are very popular and good quality. I'm happy they opened up in the area!

I think they built it with what Kingwood shoppers will do in mind. The store has ample parking and is about the size of the other typical Trader Joe's stores I have been in, albeit some out in San Francisco were bigger and one had a first and second floor! I waited a month to go in, didn't want to fight crowds when it opened. I had to drop a package at the nearby UPS store so I just walked over and meandered through the store. Did I buy anything? You bet! Nothing I really needed but they do have fun things that most big chain groceries don't.
