Pricing in the right place w multiple size options all under the same tag - A digital price display shows Huntington Home fabric pumpkins available at Aldi, priced at $4.99 each. The display includes the product name, price, and date of pricing, and is positioned on a store shelf with a textured floor below. The surrounding area includes part of a cardboard box and other store fixtures.

This rating is solely for this Disgustingly Uncouth Manager Alissa, or so she said. I pray she's not the manager, I just had the sad pleasure of interacting with! She showed me who she was; now it's customers be worn, find another manager it there's an issue. Mine seemed so simple cause the customer is never right Alissa! Anyway just left Aldi never ever having an issue before matter of fact, one of our go to greats. I'm not sure if they have a new manger as I am only familiar with the shorter young lady who eventually stepped in to show me other options (wish I took her name, good should always take the spotlight). Went to my fav section, you know; the one w all the home decor varieties and so, the signs said $4.99 for the clear plastic organizer and the pumpkin pillows, oooh was I excited, apparently so excited that only one was the right item named tag but still to my dismay wrong size! Anyway the young man at the register alerted us that the names were wrong as I showed him the pic I ran back to take. Whilst feeling a lil deflated, I thought someone should change it, so it doesn't give another customer that false sense of gaiety. I ushered the manager Alissa over to show her where the problem occurred and she reluctantly followed; I said to her that maybe you should move these cause I got excited for the price first, it was red highlighted tag she immediately stated that she didn't have too, the tag must have fallen off and that was not her job and I can't be adding to her job, and they can read; meaning us the customers. She immediately infuriated me and such a simple suggestion fired her up and now I responded "we do this to each other always" relating to our ethic background then she said "we are in Bloomfield this not white people" I immediately regretted my decision to draw that reference, saying later it doesn't matter if black or white it's your customers, you should care about your customers and yourself not having to be aggravated that every customer will see that red tag the $4.99 sign before digging in to sort threw; well do they mean this one or this size, well it doesn't say the size, omg seriously! I only calmed when the other manager stepped in and showed me what size they meant on the pumpkins despite all of them being thrown in one pile and the lil ones getting lost in the mix. I left wishing Alissa would get lost in the mix!! Common Aldi Upper management we can do better than this, A beautiful day almost ruined by this Aldi Ghost cause I've never seen her there.

Snacks - Shelf in a grocery store displaying snack foods such as cookies, crackers, and snack packs. The items are arranged in boxes and containers, with visible price tags indicating costs like $2.75 and $2.99. The background includes additional snack products and store signage.

First time at this location. Came at 9 AM to have more options available as soon as they opened their doors. Make sure you bring your quarter for a shopping cart, you get the quarter back when you return the cart. Bring your own bags, they charge you for their plastic bags. I found a bunch of Aldi brands of products and some name brands too. Great selections! I was over all happier with this Aldi than the previous ones I went to.

Cheap prices yeah, but how are the goods?

I kind of feel like this is the supermarket no one asked for. Stop & Shop isn't even a mile from this market and I feel like this place is just to cater to renters in the adjacent luxury apartments just built. Obviously those aren't the only customers who shop here and thus there is a huge traffic problem here as people try to come in and out of here. So how's the actual store? Like a smaller, lower tier Trader joes. Almost every product is a unique brand not sold at the run of the mill supermarket. I found this place to be kind of small, the prices while nice don't seem to make that much of a deal and its trial and error with just about all the products but the produce. The lines were also really long and slow. I'm not sure why, it's not like coupons were being exchanged or things are being bagged. I may stop in again, but I can't think of a reason to make this your #1 choice.

This is a fairly new store. Admittedly, I am not very familiar with this chain so I entered with no preconceptions. The location is great, right at the corner of Bloomfield and Watsessing Avenues. The store was somewhat smaller on the inside than I expected it to be. The parking lot is even smaller and VERY poorly designed. It is very easy for it to get congested by one the entrance/exit area where there are also several tight parking spaces. This area should have been engineered better. As for the store itself, it reminds me of Trader Joe's and the Target end of the season rack had baby. Aldi carries its own store brand food items, some brands you know, some seasonal home items (like chairs, fans, etc) and various grocery items. It is an odd selection though. I am not sure whether this particular store is a representative location. I walked out without buying anything. I never do that while grocery shopping. If I lived in this part of Bloomfield, I would continue down Watsessing and go to Stop and Shop. I will not return to this store.

Aldi supermarkets are the market you go to for basic needs without the sometimes overwhelming selection that their large markets offer. That alive can save up money from "eye-shopping" where you wouldn't have bought that bag of cookies on your way to just but a gallon of milk if you hadn't seen them. The market is simple and pretty well laid out. Parking was good and clean with almost all the carts put away (one wasn't, free quarter !) You need to bring your own boxes, bags or grab some off the shelf or in the front of the store usually. This store didn't have boxes in the front, although most do. They also sell bags if you don't do any of these. Stores usually have clearance too. Although it can be hard to find, these clearance items can be well-discounted!

So anyway, I made it my business to buy as much produce as I can use in a week from as many different vendors as I could possibly purchase from. And I even splurged on some excellent looking Bison New York strips and some Mexican style Pork chorizo from a local cattle farmer. Which I quickly took home and threw on the grill with some of the vegetables that I purchased. They made for a wonderful Saturday evening dinner and paired perfectly with a bottle of wine that I had. Yummy! I love food & wine!! As for the overall variety of vendors at the market I only have one little complaint. And that is, I wish the market would have had some local cheese vendors and more baked goods like fresh breads. That would have made it the ideal experience for me. But nevertheless, I found myself having a joyful time being lost in all of the available selections of produce. Anyway, I will definitely be coming back to the Montclair Farmers Market as often as I can and you should too! FYI the market only takes place on Saturdays from 8 AM to 2 PM, so get there early to get all the choice produce! I hope you enjoy! P.S. Mostly all the vendors take Plastic!

Lucky Farmers Market is a non-descript bodega perched in a four deep mini-mall on Bloomfield Ave. in Verona (co-occupied by Subway and double Krauszers). Sounds awesome, right? Actually, it is. Inside is where you actually get lucky.* Fresh fruit and vegetables in droves for way less than your not-so-supermarket. From gargantuan Asian pears to three kinds of cucumbers to berries of all kinds, Lucky will not let you down on the fruit and vegetable end. This is not a full market so don't get all, "That dude said this place had everything," because they don't have everything. They just have good produce, a smattering of market items (good, healthy options) and THIS IS WHERE YOU MUST PAY ATTENTION - a full-time sushi chef that churns out the best sushi around, restaurant or not. Yes, a small bodega will give you excellent sushi in a plastic container and you won't have to overpay for it. If you take anything from this, just get the Tuna/Salmon sandwich sushi and thank me later. Lucky is my go-to spot for the items I rely on - fruit, vegetables and sushi. I do the bulk of my shopping at a regular, large and fat market, but I get all my fruit and vegetables here and I get dinner here 2x a week, every week. Everyone who runs this place and works here is super friendly and a pleasure to see every day. In a pinch, you can get flowers here which actually last a while too. What else is there to say? If you don't ever have a reason to go to Lucky Farmers Market, no one will care (not even your Mom), but if you do have a chance to swing by with fruits, vegetables, sushi or something interesting in mind you just might have found your spot. ____________________ *Well, you might not get lucky if you are thinking something other than groceries or sushi, but I get Lucky almost every day.

But this little farmers market is not really much to speak of. The one farm that seemed to have fresh produce had awful tasting pastries and very little produce to speak of for outrageous prices. The food trucks were nothing special. They were exceptionally overpriced. This area is slowly getting gentrified but you still have pockets of people who can barely afford to buy their normal groceries, yet the town thinks its ok to have food trucks selling $16 lobster rolls that are barely 4-5 inches long...The seller at the truck said I was the only person to buy one the entire day...I found nothing to showcase the neighborhood...nothing Caribbean. Nothing Creole. Nothing with pulled pork, no ceviche, no conch fritters. There was only one woman who had juices present and some baked goods for a decent price. The music aspect is the best part but is only for the last half hour. The rest of the booths were random institutions or banks that had nearly as much business of being at a fresh/farmers market event as you'd imagine. Meh, I'll just stick to the events in the city that make more sense. It supposedly occurs on Tuesdays throughout the Summer.
